＜正＞Objective Lots of neuropathic pain models were made during decades of investigations,in which spontaneous discharge originated from dorsal root ganglion（DRG） were regarded as a key point for development of various abnormal pain *** idea of that if any firing patterns could be identified to be related to certain abnormal pain behavior has not been concerned up to *** present study is to explore what’s kind of characters of evoked burst（EB）,a newly observed firing pattern *** whether it is related to the mechanical allodynia exhibited on a chronic compression of DRG（CCD） model,which mimicking the clinical intervertebral foramen stenosis or proceeding of intervertebral disc. Methods On a CCD model,the von-Frey stimulation were used to observe the mechanical allodynia,in vivo sharpelectrode or in vitro patch-clamp recording were carried on to record the activity from DRG *** interruptions were applied to see the effect on EB as well as the underlying current ***（1） After CCD model,the DRG soma became hyperexcitable with various firing pattern.（2） On the animal with obvious mechanical allodynia,a kind of evoked burst（EB）,which means a periphery input spike followed by the somatic burst firing,was identified on Aβtype of neurons with a significantly increased percentage of 34%（15/44） comparing to those in normal（10%,1/9）,either at the resting membrane level or on a depolarized potential.（3） The EB has the following character:it’s exist relys on the complement of the periphery input,on the other words,it was evoked by periphery stimulation,either from electrical stimulation of the sciatic nerve or the stimulation of their natural receptive *** the shape of the first spike in the burst,the EB could be identified from those of spontaneous burst（SB）,namely,EB has a rapid-onset kinetics（with a rising speed of 50.75±6.46V/s,n=9） while SB has a prepotential phase at the foot of first spike（with a rising speed of 2.34±0.92V/

＜正＞The posterior caudal lobe（CLp）is an important part of the cerebellum in the weakly electric mormyrid fish and shares many basic features with the mammalian cerebellum with respect to functional circuitry.A unique anatomical feature of the CLp is that the axons of Purkinje cells do not leave the cerebellar cortex,but end locally on projection neurons（functionally equivalent to the deep cerebellar nuclei cells）and other Purkinje *** features suggest it is suitable to study the functional connectivity between Purkinje cells and projection neurons in slice *** studies are not possible in a mammalian cerebellar preparation because the two cell types are located too far ***,the CLp is associated with electrosense,which is a physiological signal that can be precisely ***,the CLP can serve as a suitable model for investigating sensory aspects of the cerebellar *** recently established the functional circuitry of this structure,and the present study explores the forms of synaptic plasticity at parallel fiber-Purkinje cell synapses in the *** cells were recorded using whole-cell patch-recording method in slice *** electrodes were positioned close to and distal to the patched cell bodies to activate climbing fibers and parallel fibers,*** fiber responses were recorded at 0.1 Hz,and pairing or manipulations were delivered at 1 Hz for 5 *** of the parallel fiber responses were measured and compared before and after the pairing or *** was found that activation of parallel fibers evoked graded EPSPs or EPSCs,whereas activation of climbing fibers evoked large all-or-none EPSPs or *** activating parallel fibers at 1 Hz for a period of 5 min did not have significant effects on the parallel fiber responses,pairing parallel fiber inputs with climbing fiber inputs significantly depressed the parallel fiber responses by 18%-29%（n=5）.This depressio

睡眠是动物界的共同生理特征之一,表现为可逆性意识状态丧失。在人类每日的睡眠时间随年龄的增长而递减,总睡眠时间在一个人大约占去一生时间的三分之一。人的睡眠有很明显的周期性和时相性,其过程主要由体内固有的生物钟直接控制,但也受外界自然环境特别是光线强弱持续变化的调节。睡眠的生物学机理仍在研究探讨之中。梦境是伴随睡眠的一种神经心理活动过程,人人都有体验,大约和睡眠一样历史久远。但对其产生原理和生物学意义也是众说纷纭,没有共识。近年来的研究结果表明,睡眠的核心功能之一是进一步加工和处理当日大脑所接受的新信息,并将其选择性地转化为可长期保存的信息,储存在相应的大脑皮层功能区,即所谓的记忆信息巩固过程。本文简介睡眠和梦境这一对截然不同却又难以分开的生命现象的神经生理学基础、功能意义以及这方面的研究进展,并重点介绍睡眠期间所发生的学习记忆活动的研究进展。

Brain radiomics can reflect the characteristics of brain ***,the value of T1-weighted images,quantitative susceptibility mapping,and R2*mapping in the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease(PD)was underestimated in previous *** this prospective study to establish a model for PD diagnosis based on brain imaging information,we collected high-resolution T1-weighted images,R2*mapping,and quantitative susceptibility imaging data from 171 patients with PD and 179 healthy controls recruited from August 2014 to August *** to the inclusion time,123 PD patients and 121 healthy controls were assigned to train the diagnostic model,while the remaining 106 subjects were assigned to the external validation *** extracted 1408 radiomics features,and then used data-driven feature selection to identify informative features that were significant for discriminating patients with PD from normal controls on the training *** informative features so identified were then used to construct a diagnostic model for *** constructed model contained 36 informative radiomics features,mainly representing abnormal subcortical iron distribution(especially in the substantia nigra),structural disorganization(e.g.,in the inferior temporal,paracentral,precuneus,insula,and precentral gyri),and texture misalignment in the subcortical nuclei(e.g.,caudate,globus pallidus,and thalamus).The predictive accuracy of the established model was 81.1±8.0%in the training *** the external validation dataset,the established model showed predictive accuracy of 78.5±2.1%.In the tests of identifying early and drug-naïve PD patients from healthy controls,the accuracies of the model constructed on the same 36 informative features were 80.3±7.1%and 79.1±6.5%,respectively,while the accuracies were 80.4±6.3%and 82.9±5.8%for diagnosing middle-to-late PD and those receiving drug management,*** accuracies for predicting tremor-dominant and non-tremor-dominant PD w

Recently, network function virtualization(NFV) was proposed as a paradigm shift in the telecommunication industry. Both industry and academia have drawn significant attention in mobile network *** decouples the software implementation of network functions from the underlying hardware, leading to considerable reductions in operating expenses(OPEX) and capital expenses(CAPEX), and facilitating the network deployment. However, as an emerging technology, NFV brings both challenges and opportunities in developing new architectures, applying and deployment. In this paper, we first survey the related work of NFV, and then propose promising research directions in this area.

Seafloor irregularities influence rupture behavior along the subducting slab and in the overriding plate,thus affecting earthquake *** seafloor irregularities increase the likelihood of large earthquakes in a subduction zone remains contested,partially due to focus put either on fault development or on rupture ***,we simulate a subducting slab with a seafloor irregularity and the resulting deformation pattern of the overriding plate using the discrete element *** simulations illustrate the rupture along three major fault systems:megathrust,splay and backthrust *** results show different rupture dimensions of earthquake events varying from tens to ca.140 *** results suggest that the recurrence interval of megathrust events with rupture length of ca.100 km is ca.140 years,which is overall comparable to the paleoseismic records at the Mentawai area of the Sumatran *** further propose the coseismic slip amounts decrease and interseismic slip amounts increase from the surface downwards *** conclude that the presence of seafloor irregularities significantly affects rupture events along the slab as well as fault patterns in the overriding plate.

Background and Aims:The aim was to determine if liver biochemistry indices can be used as biomarkers to help differentiate patients with neonatal Dubin–Johnson syndrome(nDJS)from those with biliary atresia(BA).Methods:Patients with genetically-confirmed nDJS or cholangiographically confirmed BA were retrospectively enrolled and randomly assigned to discovery or verification *** liver chemistries,measured during the neonatal period,were *** values were calculated by receiver operating characteristic curve ***:A cohort of 53 nDJS patients was recruited,of whom 13 presented with acholic stools,and 14 underwent diagnostic cholangiography or needle liver biopsy to differentiate from ***-five patients in the cohort,with complete biochemical information measured during the neonatal period,were compared with 133 infants with cholangiographically confirmed *** and direct bilirubin,alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total bile acids,alkaline phosphatase,and gamma-glutamyl transferase were significantly lower in nDJS than in *** the discovery cohort,the areas under the curve for ALT and AST were 0.908 and 0.943,*** the validation cohort,13/15 patients in the nDJS group were classified as nDJS,and 10/53 in the BA control group were positive(p<0.00001)with an ALT biomarker cutoff value of 75 IU/*** of 15 patients were classified as nDJS and none were classified positive in the BA group(13/15 vs.0/53,p<0.00001)with an AST cutoff of 87 IU/***:Having assembled and investigated the largest cohort of nDJS patients reported to date,we found that nDJS patients could be distinguished from BA patients using the serum AST level as a *** finding may be clinically useful to spare cholestatic nDJS patients unnecessary invasive procedures.

Background and Aims:We asked if comprehensive bile acid profiling could provide insights into the physiopathology of ABCB4-mutated patients and evaluated the prognostic value of taurine-conjugated tetrahydroxylated bile acid(tauro-THBA)in ***:Serum bile acid profiles were evaluated in 13 ABCB4-mutated patients with 65 healthy controls by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography/multiple-reaction monitoring-mass spectrometry(UPLC/MRM-MS).The concentration of tauro-THBA was compared between ABCB4-mutated patients with different *** areas under the curve(AUCs)of tauro-THBA were compared between ABCB11-mutated patients with native liver survival and those who died or underwent liver transplantation before 3 years of age by receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC),with another patient cohort for further ***:The overall hydrophobicity indices of bile acids in ABCB4-mutated patients(12.99±3.25 m)were significantly lower than those of healthy controls(14.02±1.74 m,p<0.000).That was due to markedly increased bile acid modifications including conjugation,sulfation,and *** in the tauro-THBA concentration in ABCB4-mutated patients with different prognoses were not *** analysis indicated that levels of tauro-THBA of<60 nM yielded an AUC of 0.900 with a sensitivity of 80%and specificity of 87.5%for ABCB11-mutated patients with different prognoses(p=0.0192).Of the 15 patients with good prognosis,14 were classified correctly and four of the five patients with a poor prognosis were classified correctly(14:15 vs.1:5,p=0.005)with tauro-THBA as a ***:Tauro-THBA concentration may be a biomarker for predicting the clinical outcome in low gammaglutamyl transferase intrahepatic cholestasis patients.
