This study detects the presence of micropla.tics in the coa.ta. a.ea. of Boronga. City, Ea.tern Sa.a., this specifica.ly implies the micropla.tics present in the wa.ers a.ong coa.ta. a.ea. of Boronga. City. Two (2) sa.pling a.ea. were identified a.d selected for the presence of these microconta.ina.ts using density sepa.a.ion, filtra.ion a.d microscopic identifica.ion. Results revea. a.tota. of 35 micropla.tics observed from the wa.er sa.ples collected, with this the micropla.tics from Ba.ba. bouleva.d with a. a.era.e of 0.79 micropla.tics per Liter, while the a.era.e micropla.tic conta.ina.ion in Hila.ga.a. bea.h resort wa. ca.cula.ed a. 0.43 micropla.tics per Liter. This sums up to a. a.era.e of 0.49 micropla.tics per Liter for both sa.pling sites in Boronga. City.

Ba.kground: Dihydrogen (H-2) is produced endogenously by the intestina. microbiota.through the fermenta.ion of diet ca.bohydra.es. Over the pa.t few yea.s, numerous studies ha.e demonstra.ed the significa.t thera.eutic potentia. of H-2 in va.ious pa.hophysiologica. contexts, ma.ing the cha.a.teriza.ion of its production in la.ora.ory species of ma.or preclinica. importa.ce. Methods: This study proposes a. innova.ive solution to a.cura.ely monitor H-2 production in free-moving rodents while respecting a.ima. welfa.e sta.da.ds. The developed device consisted of a.wire rodent ca.e pla.ed inside a. a.rtight cha.ber in which the a.r qua.ity wa. ma.nta.ned, a.d the H-2 concentra.ion wa. continuously a.a.yzed. a.ter the a.rtightness a.d efficiency of the systems used to control a.d ma.nta.n a.r qua.ity in the cha.ber were checked, tests were ca.ried out on ra.s a.d mice with different meta.olic phenotypes, over 12 min to 1-h experiments a.d repea.edly. H-2 production ra.es (HPR) were obta.ned using a. ea.y ca.cula.ion a.gorithm ba.ed on a.first-order moving a.era.e. Results: HPR in hyperpha.ic Zucker ra.s wa. found to be twice a. high a. in control Wista. ra.s, respectively, 2.64 a.d 1.27 nmol.s(-1) per a.ima.. In a.dition, the ingestion of inulin, a.dieta.y fiber, stimula.ed H-2 production in mice. HPRs were 0.46 nmol.s(-1) for a.ima.s under control diet a.d 1.99 nmol.s(-1) for a.ima.s under inulin diet. This work focuses on the development a.d implementa.ion of a.simula.ion-ba.ed a.proa.h for the detection of pa.tia. a.d extended blocka.es within a. edible oil pipeline system. Blocka.es, whether pa.tia. or extended, pose a.significa.t opera.iona. a.d sa.ety risks. This study employs computa.iona. fluid dyna.ics (CFD) simula.ions to model the flow beha.iour of edible oil through pipeline under va.ying conditions. It levera.es a.va.ced computa.iona. fluid dyna.ics (CFD) simula.ions to a.a.yze pressure, velocity, a.d tempera.ure va.ia.ions a.ong the pipeline. By simula.ing scena.ios with different blocka.e cha.a.teristics, there is esta.lishment of distinctive pa.terns indica.ive of pa.tia. a.d extended obstructions. Through extensive a.a.ysis of simula.ion da.a. sensing element, a.d monitoring system, processing signa. input a.d response output, the system ca. a.cura.ely pinpoint the loca.ion a.d severity of blocka.es, providing crucia. insights for timely intervention. The detection system represents a.significa.t a.va.cement in pipeline monitoring technology, offering a.proa.tive a.d a.cura.e a.proa.h to identify blocka.es a.d mitiga.e potentia. risks a.d ensure the uninterrupted flow of edible oil, thereby ena.ling timely intervention a.d ma.ntena.ce.

The a.m of this study of the Ma.a.ta.i da. reservoir is to investiga.e the biologica. qua.ity of the wa.er through inventories a.d a.a.ysis of the ichthyofa.na.a.d pla.ktonic communities (zoopla.kton a.d phytopla.kton). Inventories of ichthyofa.na.a.d pla.kton communities were ca.ried out qua.terly from 2003 to 2022. The fish popula.ions studied on the ba.is of bioindica.ors (species richness, diversity index, equita.ility index, diversifica.ion index) identified 29 species belonging to 10 fa.ilies. The Cichlida. fa.ily is the most represented, while the Schilbeida. a.d Tetra.dontioa. fa.ilies a.e less represented in terms of number of species. The species Hydrocynus forska.ii a.d Brycinus nurse with rela.ive a.unda.ces of 40.12% a.d 21.4% respectively, both from the fa.ily a.estida., a.e the most a.unda.t. The species H. forska.ii ha. a.frequency of occurrence of 100%. The specific diversity index of 2.9 a.d the equita.ility index of 0.6 show a. a.era.e diversity of fish species. The diversifica.ion index of 2.9 indica.es a.theoretica. number of ha.ita.s of 2 to 3. The pla.ktonic community is ma.e up of zoopla.kton a.d phytopla.kton. The inventory of zoopla.kton shows the presence of 28 zoopla.kton species belonging to 9 fa.ilies of the three zoopla.kton groups Rotifera. Cla.ocera.a.d Copepoda. a.a.ysis of the frequencies of occurrence of the va.ious ta.a.showed tha. the cha.a.teristic species of La.e Ma.a.ta.i a.e the omnipresent rotifers Kera.ella.cochlea.is, Kera.ella.qua.ra.a.a.d Trichocerca.cha.toni. For phytopla.kton, the inventories ca.ried out show the presence of 65 species belonging to 5 fa.ilies (Chlorophycees, Dia.omees, Dinophycees, Chrysophycees a.d Cya.ophycees). a. a.a.ysis of the frequency of occurrence of the va.ious ta.a.shows tha. the cha.a.teristic species of La.e Ma.a.ta.i a.e Chlorophycees, with 7 species: Desmidium ba.leyi, Micra.teria. a.a.a.
