banana is an important crop grown in Oman and there is a dearth of information on its genetic diversity to assist in crop breeding and improvement *** study employed amplified fragment length polymorphism(AFLP) to investigate the genetic variation in local banana cultivars from the southern region of *** 12 primer combinations,a total of 1094 bands were scored,of which 1012 were ***-two unique markers were identified,which revealed the distinct separation of the seven *** results obtained show that AFLP can be used to differentiate the banana *** classification by phylogenetic,hierarchical clustering and principal component analyses showed significant differences between the clusters found with molecular markers and those clusters created by previous studies using morphological *** on the analytical results,a consensus dendrogram of the banana cultivars is presented.

电池电动汽车(bEV)的主要挑战之一是续航里程是否足够,因此在任何最近的车辆概念中,最大化的电池体积是合乎需要的。悬架作为最大的电动汽车子系统之一,对这一点有着重要的影响。本研究目的是使用自动化方法进行悬架开发,主要是引入一种新的可转向后悬架概念与电力推进系统,即从配备内燃机(ICE)的传统汽车开始,开发一种悬架,以满足纯电动汽车的新装配要求,同时保持有关驾驶动力学的典型要求。悬架概念是为具有大电池尺寸的高级汽车而优化的,此外还考虑了先进的主动系统,如空气弹簧和大转向角的主动后轮转向。该概念还提出了一种具有良好调整运动学性能的封装解决方案,符合原始设备制造商的调整理念。为解决由此产生的高复杂性,使用了新开发的方法,即运动学优化是用一种创新的方法完成的,该方法根据给定的要求自动提出新的硬点。在设计中,使用简化模型来表示复杂零件的形状,因此可以从包装的角度自动判断运动学概念是否可行。结果表明,新的悬架概念可以处理具有挑战性的装配问题和复杂的运动学要求。

Metabolic engineering strategies have been successfully implemented to improve the production of isobutanol,a next-generation biofuel,in Saccharomyces ***,we explore how two of these strategies,pathway re-localization and redox cofactor-balancing,affect the performance and physiology of isobutanol producing *** equipped yeast with isobutanol cassettes which had either a mitochondrial or cytosolic localized isobutanol pathway and used either a redox-imbalanced(NADPH-dependent)or redox-balanced(NADH-dependent)ketol-acid reductoisomerase *** then conducted transcriptomic,proteomic and metabolomic analyses to elucidate molecular differences between the engineered *** localization had a large effect on isobutanol production with the strain expressing the mitochondrial-localized enzymes producing 3.8-fold more isobutanol than strains expressing the cytosolic ***-balancing did not improve isobutanol titers and instead the strain with the redox-imbalanced pathway produced 1.5-fold more isobutanol than the balanced version,albeit at low overall pathway *** genomic analyses suggested that the poor performances of the cytosolic pathway strains were in part due to a shortage in cytosolic Fe-S clusters,which are required cofactors for the dihydroxyacid dehydratase *** then demonstrated that this cofactor limitation may be partially recovered by disrupting iron homeostasis with a fra2 mutation,thereby increasing cellular iron *** resulting isobutanol titer of the fra2 null strain harboring a cytosolic-localized isobutanol pathway outperformed the strain with the mitochondrial-localized pathway by 1.3-fold,demonstrating that both localizations can support flux to isobutanol.

Plant phenotyping is typically a time-consuming and expensive endeavor,requiring large groups of researchers to meticulously measure biologically relevant plant traits,and is the main bottleneck in understanding plant adaptation and the genetic architecture underlying complex traits at population *** this work,we address these challenges by leveraging few-shot learning with convolutional neural networks to segment the leaf body and visible venation of 2,906 Populus trichocarpa leaf images obtained in the *** contrast to previous methods,our approach(a)does not require experimental or image preprocessing,(b)uses the raw RGb images at full resolution,and(c)requires very few samples for training(e.g.,just 8 images for vein segmentation).Traits relating to leaf morphology and vein topology are extracted from the resulting segmentations using traditional open-source image-processing tools,validated using real-world physical measurements,and used to conduct a genome-wide association study to identify genes controlling the *** this way,the current work is designed to provide the plant phenotyping community with(a)methods for fast and accurate image-based feature extraction that require minimal training data and(b)a new population-scale dataset,including 68 different leaf phenotypes,for domain scientists and machine learning *** of the few-shot learning code,data,and results are made publicly available.

AIMTo confirm previous conclusions on Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S. cerevisiae) CNCM I-3856 for irritable bowel syndrome (IbS) *** individual patient data meta-analysis was performed on two randomized clinical trials studying the effect of S. cerevisiae CNCM I-3856 supplementation on gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms in IbS subjects. A total of 579 IbS subjects were included. Outcomes were the daily Likert scale scores of abdominal pain/discomfort and bloating [area under the curve (AUC) and weekly means], responder status, and bowel movements (stool frequency and consistency). Statistical analyses were conducted in Intent to Treat (ITT) population, IbS-C subjects and IbS-C subjects with an abdominal pain/discomfort score higher than or equal to 2 at baseline (“IbS-C ≥ 2 subpopulation”).RESULTSS. cerevisiae CNCM I-3856 significantly improved abdominal pain/discomfort and bloating during the second month of supplementation [AUC (W5-W8)] with improvement up to the minimal clinically relevant threshold of 10%: a 12.3% reduction of abdominal pain/discomfort in the ITT population compared to the Placebo group (P = 0.0134) has been observed. In the IbS-C ≥ 2 subpopulation, there were a 13.1% reduction of abdominal pain/discomfort and a 14.9% reduction of bloating compared to the Placebo group (P = 0.0194 and P = 0.0145, respectively). GI symptoms significantly decreased during supplementation but no statistical differences were reported between groups at the end of the supplementation period. Responder status was defined as a subject who experienced a decrease of 1 arbitrary unit (a.u.) or 50% of the abdominal discomfort score from baseline for at least 2 wk out of the last 4 wk of the study. bACKGROUND Asymptomatic children with Crohn's disease(CD) require ongoing monitoring to ensure early recognition of a disease *** In a cohort of pediatric CD patients, we aimed to assess the utility of serial fecal calprotectin measurements to detect intestinal inflammatory activity and predict disease *** In this prospective longitudinal cohort study, children with CD on infliximab therapy in clinical remission were included. Fecal calprotectin levels were assessed at baseline and at subsequent 2-5 visits. Clinical and biochemical disease activity were assessed using the Pediatric Crohn's Disease Activity Index, Creactive protein and erythrocyte sedimentation rate at baseline and at visits over the following 18 *** 53 children were included and eighteen patients(34%) had a clinical disease relapse during the study. baseline fecal calprotectin levels were higher in patients that developed symptomatic relapse [median(interquartile range), relapse 723μg/g(283-1758) vs 244 μg/g(61-627), P = 0.02]. Fecal calprotectin levels > 250μg/g demonstrated good predictive accuracy of a clinical flare within 3 mo(area under the receiver operator curve was 0.86, 95% confidence limits 0.781 to 0.937).CONCLUSION Routine fecal calprotectin testing in children with CD in clinical remission is useful to predict relapse. Levels > 250 μg/g are a good predictor of relapse in the following 3 mo. This information is important to guide monitoring standards used in this population.

Physiologic magnetic fields on the order of magnitude 10-8gauss have been unified with their propitiators: quantum genetic particles, the gravitational potential of which is about a few ergs. As these fields are applied to the equations for solenoidal models, b=μNI/L, currents of about a microampere are derived; in perfect accord with recent clinical data indicating the therapeutic efficacy of weak currents in repair and growth of soft tissue, bone and nerve. The mechanism of reorientation of spin angular momentum of leptons and baryons influencing molecular magnetic domains to bring about "particle jumps" is presented to obtain a clinical picture. The clinical picture is that of an organism placed at right angles to flux lines in the midst of a solenoid immersed in water. The patient is then exposed to exogenously sourced resonant physiologic magnetic fields which convert malalligned atomic lattices of oncogenes and associated particles to homologous normal structures.
