Background:In this study,we aimed to investigate the molecular basis of lactation as well as to identify the genetic factors that influence milk yield and composition in *** achieve these two goals,we have analyzed how the mRNA profile of the mammary gland changes in seven murciano-Granadina goats at each of three different time points,i.e.78 d(T1,early lactation),216 d(T2,late lactation)and 285 d(T3,dry period)after ***,we have performed a genome-wide association study(GWAS)for seven dairy traits recorded in the 1st lactation of 822 murciano-Granadina ***:The expression profiles of the mammary gland in the early(T1)and late(T2)lactation were quite similar(42 differentially expressed genes),while strong transcriptomic differences(more than one thousand differentially expressed genes)were observed between the lactating(T1/T2)and non-lactating(T3)mammary glands.A large number of differentially expressed genes were involved in pathways related with the biosynthesis of amino acids,cholesterol,triglycerides and steroids as well as with glycerophospholipid metabolism,adipocytokine signaling,lipid binding,regulation of ion transmembrane transport,calcium ion binding,metalloendopeptidase activity and complement and coagulation *** regard to the second goal of the study,the performance of the GWAS allowed us to detect 24 quantitative trait loci(QTLs),including three genome-wide significant associations:QTL1(chromosome 2,130.72-131.01 mb)for lactose percentage,QTL6(chromosome 6,78.90-93.48 mb)for protein percentage and QTL17(chromosome 17,11.20 mb)for both protein and dry matter ***,QTL6 shows positional coincidence with the casein genes,which encode 80%of milk ***:The abrogation of lactation involves dramatic changes in the expression of genes participating in a broad array of physiological processes such as protein,lipid and carbohydrate metabolism,calcium homeostasis,cell death and tissue remo

Background High-voltage CmOS is a promising technology for the pixel sensor of tracking detectors in the collider *** studies are being carried out by theATLASCollaboration to investigate the possibility of using theHV-CmOS technology in the HL-LHC upgrade of the ATLAS inner tracker *** The CaRIBOu(Control and Readout Itk BOards)is a modular test system developed to test the HV-CmOS pixel sensor prototypes and *** This test system consists of pixel sensor specific front-end chip boards,a control and readout board(CaR board),a central interface board and the back-end DAQ ***,two DAQ solutions are available for the CaRIBOu system,one is based on the FELIX(front-end link eXchange)readout system and the other is based on the Gigabit Ethernet *** Various testbeam experiments have been carried out with the CaRIBOu system since 2015 for the pixel sensors fabricated by the AmS HV-CmOS 180 nm and 350 nm *** The test results show that this test system is very flexible and could be adapted to the test of different pixel sensors with minimum effort,and the performance meets the testbeam requirements.

It was assumed that the homogeneous dehydrogenation of C2H6 occurred in the gas phase was independent of the presence of catalysts and this is applicable to the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane with CO2 over CeO2 . On the basis of this assumption, a method was developed to analyze the contribution of C2H4 formation from heterogeneous catalysis. In this study, ceria was found to be active and selective for the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane with CO2 and the selectivity to C2H4 was above 60% and the actual contribution for C2H4 formation from heterogeneous catalysis was about 55 %-75 % in the range of 953-993 K.

AIm To assess in rodent and human adipocytes the antilipolytic capacity of hexaquis(benzylammonium) decavanadate(B6V10), previously shown to exert antidiabetic effects in rodent models, such as lowering free fatty acids(FFA) and glucose circulating *** Adipose tissue(AT) samples were obtained after informed consent from overweight women undergoing plastic surgery. Comparison of the effects of B6V10 and reference antilipolytic agents(insulin,benzylamine,vanadate) on the lipolytic activity was performed on adipocytes freshly isolated from rat, mouse and human AT. Glycerol release was measured using colorimetric assay as an index of lipolytic activity. The influence of B6V10 and reference agents on glucose transport into human fat cells was determined using the radiolabelled 2-deoxyglucose uptake *** In all the species studied, B6V10 exhibited a dosedependent inhibition of adipocyte lipolysis when triglyceride breakdown was moderately enhanced by β-adrenergic receptor stimulation. B6V10 exerted on human adipocyte a maximal lipolysis inhibition of glycerol release that was stronger than that elicited by insulin. However, B6V10 did not inhibit basal and maximally stimulated lipolysis. When incubated at dose ≥ 10 μmol/L, B6V10 stimulated by twofold the glucose uptake in human fat cells, but-similarly to benzylamine-without reaching the maximal effect of insulin, while it reproduced one-half of the insulin-stimulation of lipogenesis in mouse fat cells. CONCLUSION B6V10 exerts insulin-like actions in adipocytes, including lipolysis inhibition and glucose transport activation. B6V10 may be useful in limiting lipotoxicity related to obesity and insulin resistance.

Introduction: Vulnerable is someone who can be hurt or receive injury, physically or morally. The work environment appears as one of the dimensions in which social vulnerability develops and social and occupational vulnerability is defined. The literature does not include an assessment of quantified occupational vulnerability as it already exists in the case of social vulnerability. The aim of this paper is to identify and quantify the variables included in the Protocol for the Assessment of Vulnerability to COVID-19 in such a way that the result can be quantified and allows for a predictive effect on the degree of vulnerability. methodology: The starting point is the design of a protocol proposal that includes 29 variables. Data is collected from a sample of 420 workers, quantifying the results according to each variable, the overall scores for each group of aspects assessed and, finally, the total score that estimates the degree of vulnerability according to established ranges. Results: Variables that have the highest coefficient and, therefore, the greatest weight in the probability of reaching a group of high or medium vulnerability are cardiovascular disease, cancer, and coagulation alteration. The weight of the labour aspects due to inadequate working conditions stands out. Conclusions: The results obtained with this protocol allow us to make a quantified assessment of labour vulnerability to COVID-19 by integrating individual variables of the worker, his working conditions and the preventive actions of his company against COVID-19, and can be useful as an Occupational Vulnerability Index (OVI).

Dear Editor,I am *** montolío-marzo from FISABIO Oftalmología médica,Valencia,Spain.I write you to present a case report of epithelial downgrowth in an aphakic *** epithelial downgrowth is one of the most feared complications in cases of penetrating ocular trauma or recurrent ocular *** progress can affect all the ocular structures,giving rise to corneal decompensation,retinal detachment,difficult-to-treat glaucoma or phthisis bulbi and many cases end in enucleation[1].Fortunately,the incidence of this condition is very low,there being between 0.08%and 0.12%after cataract surgery and 0.25%after penetrating *** infrequency means that scientific evidence is reduced to case series and the opinions of experts without there being a homogeneous criterion to guide the work of the doctor in *** these reasons,epithelial downgrowth is still a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge.
