Accurate crop and weed discrimination plays a critical role in addressing the challenges of weed management in *** use of herbicides is currently the most common approach to weed ***,herbicide resistant plants have long been recognised as a major concern due to the excessive use of *** weed detection techniques can reduce the cost of weed management and improve crop quality and yield.A computationally efficient and robust plant classification algorithm is developed and applied to the classification of three crops:Brassica napus(canola),Zea mays(maize/corn),and *** developed algorithm is based on the combination of Local Binary Pattern(LBP)operators,for the extraction of crop leaf textural features and Support vector machine(SVM)method,for multiclass plant *** paper presents the first investigation of the accuracy of the combined LBP algorithms,trained using a large dataset of canola,radish and barley leaf images captured by a testing facility under simulated field *** dataset has four subclasses,background,canola,corn,and radish,with 24,000 images used for training and 6000 images,for *** dataset is referred herein as "bccr-segset"and published *** each subclass,plant images are collected at four crop growth ***,the algorithm demonstrates plant classification accuracy as high as 91.85%,for the four classes.

PARP inhibitors have proven to be effective in conjunction with conventional therapeutics in the treatment of various solid as well as hematologic malignancies,particularly when the tumors are deﬁcient in DNA repair ***,as the case with other chemotherapeutic agents,their effectiveness is often compromised by the development of *** inhibitors have consistently been reported to promote autophagy,a process that maintains cellular homeostasis and acts as an energy source by the degradation and reutilization of damaged subcellular organelles and *** can exhibit different functional properties,the most prominent being *** addition,both cytotoxic and non-protective functions forms have also been identiﬁ*** this review,we explore the available literature regarding the different roles of autophagy in response to clinically-used PARP inhibitors,highlighting the possibility of targeting autophagy as an adjuvant therapy to potentially increase the effectiveness of PARP inhibition and to overcome the development of resistance.

Backward Dijkstra Algorithms for Finding the Departure Time Based on the Specified Arrival Time for Real-Life Time-Dependent Networks

A practical transportation problem for finding the “departure” time at “all source nodes” in order to arrive at “some destination nodes” at specified time for both FIFO (i.e., First In First Out) and Non-FIFO “Dynamic ” Networks is considered in this study. Although shortest path (SP) for dynamic networks have been studied/documented by various researchers, contributions from this present work consists of a sparse matrix storage scheme for efficiently storing large scale sparse network’s connectivity, a concept of Time Delay Factor (TDF) combining with a “general piece- wise linear function” to describe the link cost as a function of time for Non-FIFO links’ costs, and Backward Dijkstra SP Algorithm with simple heuristic rules for rejecting unwanted solutions during the backward search algorithm. Both small-scale (academic) networks as well as large- scale (real-life) networks are investigated in this work to explain and validate the proposed dynamic algorithms. Numerical results obtained from this research work have indicated that the newly proposed dynamic algorithm is reliable, and efficient. Based on the numerical results, the calculated departure time at the source node(s), for a given/specified arrival time at the destination node(s), can be non-unique, for some Non-FIFO networks’ connectivity.

A Sensitivity Dosimetry Study of the Setup Uncertainties during Machine Commissioning and Annual QA

This study is to investigate three common potential setup uncertainties during Linac commissioning and annual QA and to evaluate how these uncertainties propagate into the quality of beam profiles and patient dosimetry using gamma analysis. Three uncertainty scenarios were purposely introduced for gantry position tilted from 0˚- 3˚(scenario 1), isocenter position misaligned from 0 - 6 mm (scenario 2) and SAD changed from 99.5 - 103 cm (scenario 3). A 60 × 60 × 60 cm3 water phantom cube was created to replicate a 3D water tank in VarianEclipse (V.11) treatment planning system (Varian Medical Systems, Palo Alto, CA). For each scenario, beam data profiles (crossline and diagonal) and PDD curves were calculated at different field sizes and depths for three energies: 6 MV, 6 MV-FFF and 10 MV-FFF. Gamma analysis method was used to compare a total of 263 profiles to baseline using a 1%/1mm parameter with 90% gamma passing rate criteria. For scenario 1, a ≥90% gamma passing rate and ≤1% dose difference were seen on both crossline and diagonal profiles, and PDD curves for gantry tilted up to 2˚. For 3˚degree tilt, the gamma passing rate decreased to ≤90% at depth of ≥20 cm for 6MV/6MV-FFF and depth of ≥12 cm for 10MV-FFF. For scenario 2, a ≤90% gamma passing rate and ≥1% dose difference were seen at depths from dmax to 20 cm for all energies. For depths ≥20 cm, mostly ≥90% gamma passing rate and ≤1% dose difference were seen. For scenario 3, a ≥90% gamma passing rate and ≤1% dose difference were seen on ≤4 mm isocenter misalignments for all energies. In summary, gamma analysis of the beam profiles is a very sensitive test for SAD deviation scenarios and can reveal issues of sub millimeter setup uncertainty. However, it is not as sensitive for isocenter misalignment scenarios. The test is also more sensitive for FFF beams than flattening filter beams.

Hormonal Treatments for Bipolar Disorder: A Review of the Literature

Hormonal therapies may play a role in the treatment of bipolar disorder. Preliminary evidence suggests that: 1) tamoxifen has anti-manic properties;2) hormone replacement therapy represents a good augmentation strategy in treatment-resistant peri-menopausal depression;and 3) certain oral contraceptives could prevent menstrual exacerbations of affective symptoms. Potential neurobiological mechanisms of the anti-manic effects of tamoxifen include the inhibition of protein kinase C in addition its anti-estrogenic effects. Estrogen is a serotonergic and adrenergic agonist as well as an agent promoting neurogenesis in the hippocampus through glutamatergic synaptic formation, which may be the basis of its antidepressant activity. Progesterone appears to decrease serotonergic and adrenergic tone and activity, while increasing GABAA receptor activation through its active metabolite allopregnanolone, which may be the basis of its anxiolytic, sedative, and potentially anti-manic properties. Although there is consistency between the evidence for clinical efficacy and neurobiological mechanisms of hormonal treatments, the current state of knowledge relies on studies with several methodological limitations. On the other hand, benefits of hormonal treatment include protection from osteoporosis and several gynecological cancers, as well as safe contraception in a population at-risk for unplanned pregnancy. Nonetheless, hormonal treatments should be reserved for treatment-resistant bipolar depression or mania, or when contra-indications to other psychotropic medications are present. Institution of regular monitoring for medical complications and drug-drug interactions are essential to minimize risks and maximize benefits.

1世纪,随着北属战争的爆发,大批中国人涌入越南,汉字也随之进入越南,慢慢成为古代越南人的通用文字。直到20世纪初,汉字在越南仍然具有巨大的影响,占据着重要的位置。汉字在越南文化的发展中有着重要的作用,不仅在书籍记录方面,更是作为越南人创造喃字的基础,为越南文字的流传做出巨大贡献。因此,曾有不少越南教育家编写了汉字教材。本文主要研究越南汉学家黎烁、阮颉芝从1928年至1930年合写的一套汉语教材《汉文新教科书》（Hán Vǎn T（?）n Giáo Khoa Th（?））,考述黎、阮两人的生平和著作,分析《汉文新教科书》的体例、教学内容及其教学方法,并对其编写原则、编写方法进行评价,以期对中越今日的对外汉语教学有所启示。本文主要内容共六章:第一章为绪论,本章主要介绍本文的研究对象,阐述其研究意义。对目前的越南汉语教学史现状、作者及其著作的研究现状进行总结论述。列出研究中使用的理论、方法及研究文献的来源。第二章介绍越南20世纪初的教学背景,对黎烁与阮颉芝的生平进行详细的考证;从越南国内汉学发展及越南19世纪到20世纪初的社会现状来考察《汉文新教科书》的成书背景。对全书的编写体例、主要内容进行宏观全面的介绍与揭示。第三章对《汉文新教科书》的汉字、词汇系统进行研究,详细地分析书中所教汉字的特点,探究教材所使用的汉字及词汇的教学方法,并对其进行评价。第四章对《汉文新教科书》童幼级、预备级、初等级的短语、句子部分进行整理、归纳、详细描写教材所采用的教学方法,并对该教材的语法教学做出评价。第五章对《汉文新教科书》高等级的短文教学进行统计,并做简单分析,同时对该套书的初、中、高等级的练习进行分析、比较,对练习安排、形式的优缺点进行评价。第六章对《汉文新教科书》进行综合的评价,从对外汉语教学史、世界汉语教学的角度分析其价值,并从对外汉语教材编写的角度考察其优点和不足,以期能够对当今的对外汉语教材编写,尤其是国别化的对外汉语教材编写提供借鉴。

Analyzing physical activities through wearable devices is a promising research area for improving health *** research focuses on the development of an affordable and real-time Human Activity Recognition(HAR)system designed to operate on low-performance *** system utilizes data from a bodyworn accelerometer to recognize and classify human activities,providing a cost-effective,easy-to-use,and highly accurate solution.A key challenge addressed in this study is the execution of efficient motion recognition within a resource-constrained *** system employs a Random Forest(RF)classifier,which outperforms Gradient Boosting Decision Trees(GBDT),Support Vector Machines(SVM),and K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN)in terms of accuracy and computational *** proposed features Average absolute deviation(AAD),Standard deviation(STD),Interquartile range(IQR),Range,and Root mean square(RMS).The research has conducted numerous experiments and comparisons to establish optimal parameters for ensuring system effectiveness,including setting a sampling frequency of 50 Hz and selecting an 8-s window size with a 40%overlap between *** was conducted on both the WISDM public dataset and a self-collected dataset,focusing on five fundamental daily activities:Standing,Sitting,Jogging,Walking,and Walking the *** results demonstrated high recognition accuracy,with the system achieving 96.7%on the WISDM dataset and 97.13%on the collected *** research confirms the feasibility of deploying HAR systems on low-performance microcontrollers and highlights the system’s potential applications in patient support,rehabilitation,and elderly care.

In this study,three-dimensional porous magnesium ferrite/titanium dioxide/reduced graphene oxide(Mg Fe_2O_(4)-GM/TiO_(2)/rGO(MGTG))was successfully synthesized via green and hydrothermal-supported co-precipitation methods using the extract of Garcinia mangostana(***)as a reducing *** characterization results indicate the successful formation of the nano/micro Mg Fe_(2)O_(4)(MFO)and TiO_(2) on the structure of the reduced graphene oxide(rGO),which can also act as efficient support,alleviating the agglomeration of the nano/micro MFO and TiO_(2).The synergic effects of the adsorption and photodegradation activity of the material were investigated according to the removal of crystal violet(CV)under ultraviolet *** effects of catalyst dosage,CV concentration,and p H on the CV removal efficiency of the MGTG were also *** to the results,the CV photodegradation of the MGTG-200 corresponded to the pseudo-first-order kinetic *** reusability of the material after 10 cycles also showed a removal efficiency of 92%.This happened because the materials can easily be recollected using external *** addition,according to the effects of different free radicals·O_(2)^(-),h^(+),and·OH on the photodegradation process,the photocatalysis mechanism of the MGTG was also thoroughly *** antibacterial efficiency of the MGTG was also evaluated according to the inhibition of the Gram-positive bacteria strain Staphylococcus aureus(***).Concurrently,the antibacterial mechanism of the fabricated material was also *** results confirm that the prepared material can be potentially employed in a wide range of applications,including wastewater treatment and antibacterial activity.

Purpose: vietnam rice has long been a product of international stature. In the commodity export of vietnam, rice always plays as key agricultural commodities, with contributions billions of dollars each year in total export value. It not only contributes to the overall growth of the economy, but also gradually affirms vietnam’s position on the international rice market. According to General Statistics Office, in 2012, vietnam produced 43.7 million tonnes of rice and exported record 8.047 million tonnes of rice, contributing to the total export value of $3.689 million. However, it has not still been commensurate with the value and potential of rice from vietnam. In addition, the fact is that in recent years, although export rice increased sharply, bringing many records for vietnam, it had lower prices than other rice exporting countries (Thailand, India, Pakistan). So what is the cause and solution to enhance competitiveness and promote export of rice products in viet Nam? In the increasingly complex international context, besides socio-economic development, security and national defense, food security has become a matter of international concern. The article first discusses the competitiveness, the value of rice exports and the need to improve competitiveness and export value of rice in the Mekong Delta. Then, there are some solutions proposed to improve the competitiveness and export of rice in the Mekong Delta in the coming time.
