This review provides explanations of how geodesy, rotation and gravity can be addressed using radioscience data of an orbiter around a planet or of the lander on its surface. The planet Mars is the center of the discussion. The information one can get from orbitography and radioscience in general concerns the global static gravitational field, the time variation of the gravitational field induced by mass exchange between the atmosphere and the ice caps, the time variation of the gravitational field induced by the tides, the secular changes in the spacecraft＇s orbit induced by the little moons of Mars named Phobos and Deimos, the gravity induced by particular targets, the Martian ephemerides, and Mars＇ rotation and orientation. The paper addresses as well the determination of the geophysical parameters of Mars and, in particular, the state of Mars＇ core and its size, which is important for understanding the planet＇s evolution. Indeed, the state and dimension of the core determined from the moment of inertia and nutation depend in turn on the percentage of light elements in the core as well as on the core temperature, which is related to heat transport in the mantle. For example, the radius of the core has implications for possible mantle convection scenarios and, in particular, for the presence of a perovskite phase transition at the bottom of the mantle. This is also important for our understanding of the large volcanic province Tharsis on the surface of Mars.

Effect of wind stress forcing on ocean dynamics at air-sea interface

We evidence and study the differences in turbulence statistics in ocean dynamics carried by wind forcing at the air-sea interface. Surface currents at the air-sea interaction are of crucial importance because they transport heat from low to high latitudes. At first order, oceanic currents are generated by the balance of the Coriolis and pressure gradient forces(geostrophic current) and the balance of the Coriolis and the frictional forces dominated by wind stress(Ekman current) in the surface ocean layers. The study was conducted by computing statistical moments on the shapes of spectra computed within the framework of microcanonical multi-fractal formalism. Remotely sensed daily datasets derived from one year of altimetry and wind data were used in this study, allowing for the computation of two kinds of vector fields: geostrophy with and geostrophy without wind stress forcing. We explore the statistical properties of singularity spectra computed from velocity norms and vorticity data, notably in relation with kurtosis information to underline the differences in the turbulent regimes associated with both kinds of velocity fields.

Kinetic and product studies of Cl atoms reactions with a series of branched Ketones

The rate constants for the C1 atom reaction with three branched ketones have been measured at 298 ± 2 K and 760 Torr using the relative rate method in the absence of NO. The rate constants values obtained （in units of 10^-10 cm^3/（***）） are： k（2-methyl-3-pentanone） = 1.07 ± 0.26, k（3-methyl-2-pentanone） =1.21 ± 0.26, and k（4-methyl-2-pentanone） = 1.35 ± 0.27. Combining the chemical kinetic data obtained by this study with those reported for other ketones, a revised Structure Activity Relationship （SAR） parameter and R group reactivity （kR of R（O）R＇ and CHx （x = 1, 2, 3） group reactivity （kCHx） toward C1 atoms were proposed. In addition, the products from the three reactions in the presence of NO were also identified and quantified by using PTR-ToF-MS and GC-FID, and the yields of the identified products are： acetone （39% ± 8%）＋ ethanal （78% ± 12%）, 2-butanone （22% ± 2%）＋ ethanal （75% ± 10%）＋ propanal （14% ± 1%） and acetone （26% ± 3%）＋ 2-methylpmpanal （24% ± 2%）, for C1 atoms reaction with 2-methyl-3-pentanone, 3-methyl-2-pentanone and 4-methyl-2-pentanone, respectively. Based on the obtained results, the reaction mechanisms of C1 atoms with these three ketones are proposed.

Selective metal leaching from technosols based on synthetic root exudate composition

This study focused on metal release from technosols induced by synthetic root exudate(SRE).The effect of SRE composition on metal release was studied using six *** was done by treating the technosols with SRE solutions having varying concentrations of low molecular weight organic acids (LMWOAs),namely oxalic,citric,and malic ***,the physico-chemical parameters (p H and electric conductivity),Ca,Mg,Fe,Zn,and Cu release (by atomic absorption spectroscopy,AAS),chemical changes (by Fourier transform infrared,FT-IR),and organic parameters (by fluorescence) were *** release showed to be dependent on the SRE composition and technosol *** acid selectively released Ca,Mg,Zn,and Cu from technosols in a concentration-dependent manner;oxalic acid showed a significant role in the release of Mg and *** relatively high LMWOA concentrations,particulate organo-mineral complexes ***,technosol weathering was seen by the dissolution of humic substances and ferriallophanes,which in turn caused metal ***,re-precipitation of these phases showed to re-sorb metals,thus underestimating the role of LMWOAs in metal ***,the selective metal leaching was highly dependent on the SRE composition and LMWOA concentrations on one hand,and on the mineral,organic,and organo-mineral components of the technosols on the *** understanding of such processes is crucial for proposing and implementing environmental management strategies to reduce metal leaching or for the beneficial re-usage of metals (e.g.,for agromining) from technosols.

Rate coefficients for the reaction of N03 radicals with 6 unsaturated volatile organic compounds(VOCs) in a 7300 L simulation chamber at ambient temperature and pressure have been determined by the relative rate *** resulting rate coefficients were determined for isoprene,2-carene,3-carene,methyl vinyl ketone(MVK),methacrolein(MACR)and crotonaldehyde(CA),as(6.6±0.8)×10-13,(1.8±0.6)×10-11,(8.7±0.5)×10-12,(1.24±1.04)×10-16,(3.3±0.9)×10-15 and(5.7±1.2)×10-15 cm3/(molecule·sec),*** experiments indicate that NO3 radical reactions with all the studied unsaturated VOGs proceed through addition to the olefinic bond,however,it indicates that the introduction of a carbonyl group into unsaturated VOGs can deactivate the neighboring olefinic bond towards reaction with the NO3 radical,which is to be expected since the presence of these electronwithdrawing substituents will reduce the electron density in the π orbitals of the alkenes,and will therefore reduce the rate coefficient of these electrophilic addition *** addition,we investigated the product formation from the reactions of 2-carene and 3-carene with the NO3 *** identification of an epoxide(C10H16OH+),caronaldehyde(C10H16O2 H+) and nitrooxy-ketone(C10H16O4 NH+) was achieved using a proton transfer reaction time-of-flight mass spectrometer(PTR-TOF-MS) and a reaction mechanism is proposed.

We propose a new Absorbing Boundary Condition(ABC)for the acoustic wave equation which is derived from a micro-local diagonalization process formerly defined by *** and which does not depend on the geometry of the surface bearing the *** considering the principal symbol of the wave equation both in the hyperbolic and the elliptic regions,we show that a second-order ABC can be constructed as the combination of an existing first-order ABC and a Fourier-Robin *** compare the new ABC with other ABCs and we show that it performs well in simple configurations and that it improves the accuracy of the numerical solution without increasing the computational burden.

A CK2-RNF4 interplay coordinates non-canonical SUMOylation and degradation of nuclear receptor FXR

Farnesoid X receptor （FXR） is a ligand-activated nuclear receptor that plays a central role in regulating genes involved in bile acid homeostasis, and fat and glucose metabolism. Here, we demonstrate a post-translational interplay between FXR phosphoryl- ation, SUMOylation, and ubiquitination that directs the receptor into an activation-degradation pathway in hepatocytes. We iden- tify a non-canonical SUMOylation motif termed pSuM that conjugates SUM02 at Lys-325 of FXR under the direct control of casein kinase 2 （CK2）, which provides the required negative charge for Ubc9 and PIAS1 to perform SUMOylation, by phosphorylating Ser-327. Lys-325 SUMOylation is indispensable to the promotion of efficient ligand activation and transcriptional coactivation of FXR. Constitutive pSuM activation using a phospho-mimic Ser-327 mutant or catalytic CK2 expression strongly induces SUM02 conjugation, which directs FXR ubiquitination and proteasome-dependent degradation. We also determine that such SUMOylation-dependent ubiquitination of FXR is mediated by the E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF4, which is required to achieve maximal induction of FXR and optimal up- or downregulation of responsive genes involved in bile acid homeostasis and liver regeneration. Our findings identify a highly regulated atypical SUMO conjugation motif that serves to coordinate FXR transcriptional compe- tence, thereby expanding the intricate dynamics of the SUMOylation process used by incoming signals to govern metabolic gene regulation.
