The complexity of multi-dimensional climate, environmental and human health information complicates bringing together scientists, civil society, and decision makers to provide adequate mitigation and adaptation options for the consequences of global environmental change. To provide an effective pathway to conciliate (integrate) these datasets, we present PULSE-Brazil as the Platform for Understanding Long-term Sustainability of Ecosystems and human health. The overarching aim of this paper is to focus on two study cases in the Brazilian state of Acre, 1) analyzing recent socio-environmental disasters such as the impacts of droughts and consequent increases in fire detections on the incidence of respiratory diseases, and 2) evaluating the impacts of temperature increases in combination with rainfall seasonality upon the incidence of Dengue fever. Based on data available in PULSE-Brazil platform, we also aim to provide insights on the consequences of future climate variability on ecosystems and human health. Finally, we provide a discussion on the collaborative process between scientists and policymakers that defined the PULSE-Brazil platform specifications and datasets and propose a conceptual pathway for promoting the interaction between science and policy during the process of producing a tool that allows the understating of climate-relate processes. Our results clearly demonstrated that ecosystems are under increased fire risk in the future that will, in turn, affect the health of human populations. moreover, humans are also exposed to critical Dengue fever outbreaks with the projected increase in minimum temperatures. Therefore, minimizing the impacts of these potentially ascending socio-environmental problems is the first step for adapting to a changing climate in the Amazon region. During the 2014-2016 water shortage crisis, the metropolitan Area of Sao Paulo (mASP) water supply system extracted pumping volume from the Cantareira System. Before the crisis, between 1984 and 2013, the reservoir’s average water extraction flow was 29.6 m3·s-1. During the period of pumping volume usage, the average extraction flow was 16.2 m3·s-1. Following the crisis, two new mitigation policies were implemented: a water extraction Resolution (in 2017) and a Resolution for water reallocation from another basin (in 2018). This study provides a novel investigation of the Cantareira System water crisis by assessing the mitigation policies impacts on storage level dynamics. The system storage level was evaluated using the reservoir simulation module of PDm-Cemaden hydrological model, assuming that the new policies had already been implemented prior to the crisis. A control simulation was run with observed in- and out-flow and operationally-practiced extraction flow. The storage level dynamics impacts were evaluated under 4 water mitigation policies scenarios varying the policies implementation starting date, the extraction flow range and including the water reallocation variable. Results showed that pumping volume would only need extraction during a short period (Scenarios I, III and IV), and considering the water reallocation, pumping volume extraction would not have been necessary (Scenario II). Although the pumping volume would still have been extracted during a short period, water shortage impact would have been lessened, had the policies been already implemented before the crisis. The water mitigation policies implementation supports the reservoirs storage management but does not guarantee that mASP water demand is fully met. Therefore, in order to effectively improve water security, further policies and practices to reduce water demand and enhance supply should be considered.

A two streams system seems to exist for tactile *** asked kindergarten children to identify(semantic)and describe the function of grasped unseen instruments of their daily life(fork,knife,spoon,brush,toothbrush,pencil,and scissor),and then,to simulate its use(pragmatic).The capacity to describe the function of the set of instruments was significantly superior to that of identifying them by name,although there was a significant direct association between identification and description of the function in the responses to the set of *** simulation of the instrument function was of two types:(i)use―the child simulated how the instrument is grasped and used;and(ii)incorporation―the child simulated the function of the instrument with her/his own *** results support the hypothesis of a two streams tactile system(semantic and pragmatic),and that kindergarten children have the ability to incorporate functional properties of instruments of their daily life,probably as a support for language development.

The first search for the doubly heavy Ωbc0baryon and a search for the Ξbc0baryon are performed using pp collision data collected via the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018 at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.2 *** baryons are reconstructed via their decays to ∧c+π-andΞc+π-.No significant excess is found for invariant masses between 6700 and 7300 meV/c2,in a rapidity range from2.0 to 4.5 and a transverse momentum range from 2 to 20 meV/*** limits are set on the ratio of the Ωbc0andΞbc0production cross-section times the branching fraction to ∧c+π-（Ξc+π-） relative to that of the ∧b0（Ξb0） baryon,for different lifetime hypotheses,at 95% confidence *** upper limits range from 0.5×10-4to 2.5×10-4for theΩbc0→∧c+π-(Ξbc0→∧c+π-) decay,and from 1.4×10-3to 6.9×10-3for the Ωbc0→Ξc+π-(Ξbc0→Ξc+π-) decay,depending on the considered mass and lifetime of the Ωbc0(Ξbc0) baryon.

Rainfall simulators have been used for many years contributing to the understanding of soil and water conservation ***,rainfall simulators’design and operation might be rather demanding for achieving specific rainfall intensity distributions and drop characteristics and are still open for *** study explores the potential of combining spray nozzle simulators with meshes to change rainfall characteristics,namely drop properties(drop diameters and fall speeds).A rainfall simulator laboratory set-up was prepared that enabled the incorporation of different wire meshes beneath the spray *** tests conducted in this exploratory work included different types of spray nozzles,mesh materials(plastic and steel),square apertures and wire thicknesses,and positions of the meshes in relation to the *** intensity and drop size distribution and fall speed were *** showed that the meshes combined with nozzles increased the mean rainfall intensity on the 1 m^(2) control plot below the nozzle and altered the rain drops’properties,by increasing the mass-weighted mean drop diameter,for example.

Capsular contracture is a frequent complication in the postoperative period of breast implantation. It usually accompanies the appearance of a firm breast that can progress to pain, distortion, and asymmetry of the breasts, requiring surgical revision. The present study is a case report. A 58-year-old woman with a medical diagnosis of capsular contracture of the right breast evidenced by ultrasound. She was referred to the physiotherapy clinic in October 2019 with an initial complaint of pain on palpation, swelling, and stiffness in her right breast. The patient was evaluated and the MACò method was used to treat capsular contracture. For this, 12 sessions of photodynamic therapy were carried out. The treatment included the use of LED by doping: red (300 s), violet (60 s) and blue (120 s), with the use of 1% methylene blue in target areas, three times a week.
