We present the growth and electro-optical characteristics of highly transparent AlGaN-based tunnel heterojunction light-emitting diodes(LEDs)emitting at 232 nm entirely grown by metalorganic vapor phase epitaxy(MOVPE).A GaN:Si interlayer was embedded into a highly Mg-and Si-doped Al_(0.87)Ga_(0.13)N tunnel junction to enable polarization field enhanced *** LEDs exhibit an on-wafer integrated emission power of 77μWat 5 mA,which correlates to an external quantum efficiency(EQE)of 0.29%with 45μWemitted through the bottom sapphire substrate and 32μW emitted through the transparent top *** depositing a highly reflective aluminum reflector,a maximum emission power of 1.73 mW was achieved at 100 mA under pulsed mode operation with a maximum EQE of 0.35%as collected through the bottom substrate.

The article focuses on the influence of operator and process safety and the trends of robotics and digitalisation on a ladle slide gate that was introduced to the market 6 years ago[1].After more than 50 installations,customer experience was gathered and new features were added to a system *** upgrades are related to safety,ease of operation,and low operational *** a newly introduced“open check”feature increases the confidence level of the operators and can boost *** growing requirements to increase safety for people and processes in the ladle preparation area and on the continuous casting floor,automation has become increasingly important in steel plants.A slide gate prototype is currently underway to launch an innovative new gate design striving for full *** critical process steps are already available and successfully used in the steel plants,such as cylinder connection,slag detection integration,and ladle gate preparation area *** automated operation will be followed by digitalisation,allowing for tracking of performance,safety,and *** paper summarises new features available for slide gates and outlines individual initiatives towards fully automated operation and data acquisition examples of digitalisation.

AIM: To unravel the primary open angle glaucoma(POAG) related proteomic changes in aqueous humour(AH).METHODS: Totally 35 patients listed for cataract surgery(controls: n=12, age: 67.4±13.6 y) or trabeculectomy for POAG(n=23, age: 72.5±8.3 y) were included. AH samples of those patients were obtained during cataract surgery or trabeculectomy. AH samples were subsequently pooled into the experimental groups under equal contribution in terms of protein amount of each individual patient. Protein samples were analyzed by a linear trap quadrupol Orbitrap Mass Spectrometry device with an upstream liquid chromatography system. The obtained raw data were analyzed using the Maxquant proteome software and compared. Proteins with a fold-change ratio higher than a cut-off of 2 were considered as noticeably ***: A total number of 175 proteins could be identified out of the AH from POAG and cataract by means of quantitative mass spectrometric analysis. Apolipoprotein D(fold change, 3.16 times), complement C3(2.96), pigment epithelium-derived factor(2.86), dickkopf-related protein 3(2.18) and wingless-related integration(Wnt) inhibitory factor 1(2.35) were significantly upregulated within the AH of glaucoma compared to cataract serving as ***: AH provides a tool to analyze changes in glaucoma and shows striking changes in Wnt signaling inhibitory molecules and other proteins.

Genistein,an isoflavone found mainly in legumes,has been shown to have numerous health benefits for ***,there is substantial interest in producing it using microbial cell *** aid in screening for high genistein producing microbial strains,a cell-based biosensor for genistein was developed by repurposing the Gal4DBD-ER𝛼-VP16(GEV)transcriptional activator in Saccharomyces *** the presence of genistein,the GEV sensor protein binds to the GAL1 promoter and activates transcription of a downstream GFP *** performance of the biosensor,as measured by fold difference in GFP signal intensity after external genistein induction,was improved by engineering the sensor protein,its promoter and the reporter ***-sor performance increased when the weak promoter REV1 p was used to drive GEV sensor gene expression and the VP16 transactivating domain on GEV was replaced with the tripartite VPR transactivator that had its NLS *** biosensor performance further improved when the binding sites for the inhibitor Mig1 were removed from and two additional Gal4p binding sites were added to the reporter *** genistein induction,our improved biosensor output a GFP signal that was 20 times higher compared to the uninduced *** of the 8 flavonoids tested,the improved biosensor responded only to genistein and in a somewhat linear *** improved biosensor also responded to genistein produced in vivo,with the GFP reporter intensity directly propor-tional to intracellular genistein *** combined with fluorescence-based cell sorting technology,this biosensor could facilitate high-throughput screening of a genistein-producing yeast cell factory.

By testing 92 different biochars,this study had the objective to determine the relations between simple physico-chemical characteristics of biochar(elemental composition,ash fraction,specific surface area,process parameters)and infrared sorption characteristics revealing the presence of specific functional *** results of Diffusive Reflection Fourier Transformation Infrared Spectroscopy were statistically analyzed with multiple linear regression techniques and Principal Component Analysis(PCA)with the biochar characterization parameters as model *** dominant parameters affecting the functional group signals were the pyrolysis temperature,the H/C-ratio and specific surface area of the biochar and the ash *** models were able to explain 60-90%of data variance for specific peaks in the *** application of PCA could further reduce the input parameters to three main factors explaining 70.8%of total data *** of the first two main factors showed the similarity of infrared spectra of biochars produced at 300 and 450℃,whereas a pyrolysis temperature of 600℃ lead to a partial and a 750℃ to a nearly complete loss of biochar surface functional groups.
