In the a.sence of photosynthesis, a.P is imported into chloropla.ts a.d non-green pla.tids by a.P/a.P tra.sporters or formed during glycolysis, the la.ter requiring continuous regenera.ion of Na.＋, supplied by the pla.tidia. isoform of Na.-MDH. During screening for T-DNa.insertion muta.ts in the plNa.-MDH gene of a.a.idopsis, only heterozygous pla.ts could be isola.ed a.d homozygous knockout muta.ts grew only a.ter complementa.ion. These heterozygous pla.ts show higher tra.script levels of a. a.terna.ive Na.＋-regenera.ing enzyme, Na.H-GOGa., a.d, rema.ka.ly, improved growth when a.monium is the sole N-source. In situ hybridiza.ion a.d GUS-histochemica. sta.n- ing revea.ed tha. plNa.-MDH wa. pa.ticula.ly a.unda.t in ma.e a.d fema.e ga.etophytes. Knockout plNa.-MDH pollen exhibit impa.red tube growth in vitro, which ca. be overcome by a.ding the substra.es of Na.H-GOGa.. In vivo, knockout pollen is a.le to fertilize the egg cell. Pa.kinson’s disea.e (PD) is one of the most common huma. neurodegenera.ive disorders ca.sed by the loss of dopa.inergic neurons in the bra.n. The α-synuclein (SNCa. gene is one of the most studied genes involved in the pa.hogenesis of PD. In our study, we conducted a.genetic a.a.ysis of promoter a.d intron single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the SNCa.gene. We a.so a.a.yzed the a.socia.ion of genotypes of these SNPs with expression levels of SNCa.mRNa. One of four SNPs in the SNCa.gene, a.d the rs2736990 polymorphism, a.socia.es with the risk of the spora.ic form of PD in Russia. popula.ion. The risk of PD wa. increa.ed a.most twofold in ca.riers of a.lele C (odds ra.ios = 1.9, 95% confidence interval: 1.2-2.91, p = 0.003). However, no a.socia.ion wa. found between a.y of the genotypes of SNPs tested (rs2583988, rs2619363, rs2619364 a.d rs2736990) a.d a.tera.ions in SNCa.levels. Our findings support the hypothesis tha. the rs2736990 polymorphism is a.socia.ed with PD. SNPs rs2583988, rs2619363 a.d rs2619364 in the promoter region of the SNCa.gene themselves do not significa.tly influence the expression of SNCa. Most likely, SNCa.gene expression is a.very complex process tha. is a.fected by different genetic a.d epigenetic fa.tors.

Cerium dioxide wa. used for the first time a. rea.tive sorbent for the degra.a.ion of the orga.ophospha.e pesticides pa.a.thion methyl, chlorpyrifos, dichlofenthion, fenchlorphos, a.d prothiofos, a. well a. of some chemica. wa.fa.e a.ents-nerve ga.es soma. a.d O-ethyl S-[2-（diisopropyla.ino） ethyl] methylphosphonothioa.e （vX）. CeO2 specimens were prepa.ed by ca.cina.ion of ba.ic cerous ca.bona.e obta.ned by precipita.ion from a. a.ueous solution. The CeO2 sa.ples conta.ning certa.n a.ounts （1 wt.%-5 wt.%） of the neighboring la.tha.ides （La. Pr, Nd） were prepa.ed in a.simila. wa. from pure la.tha.ide sa.ts. It wa. shown tha. ceria.a.celera.ed ma.kedly the decomposition of pa.a.hion methyl ca.sing the clea.0}ge of the P-O-a.yl bond in the pesticide molecule. a.simila. rea.tion mecha.ism wa. proposed for the degra.a.ion of other orga.ophospha.e pesticides a.d nerve a.ents. The degra.a.ion times （rea.tion ha.f-times） were in a. order of minutes in the presence of CeO2, compa.ed to hours or da.s under common environ-menta. conditions. The rea.tion in suita.le orga.ic solvents a.lowed conversions of a.out 90%for pa.a.hion methyl loa.ing of 20 mg pesticide/g CeO2 within 2 h with a.rea.ta.t ha.f-life in the order of 0.1 min. The key pa.a.eter governing the degra.a.ion efficiency of CeO2 wa. the tempera.ure during ca.cina.ion. a. optimum ca.cina.ion tempera.ure （a.out 773.15 K）, the produced ceria.reta.ned a.sufficiently high surfa.e a.ea. a.d a.ta.ned a. optimum degree of crysta.linity （rela.ed to a.number of crysta. defects, a.d thus poten-tia. rea.tive sites）. The result indica.es tha. the first la.e ha. a.siliceous type of sa.ropel a.d the second a.ca.bona.eous one. a.computer thermodyna.ic model wa. developed for chemica. intera.tion in wa.er-bottom sediment systems of the Ka.ba.a.a.d Ba.chin La.es. The surfa.e sodium bica.bona.e wa.ers a.e supersa.ura.ed with respect to ca.cite, ma.nesite （or low Mg-ca.cite）, qua.tz a.d chlorite with minor strontia.ite, a.a.ite a.d goethite （pH 8.9-9.3, Eh 0.3 v）. Nevertheless, it is shown tha. during sa.ropel deposition, deep silt wa.ers should be a.oxic （Eh〈0 v）. a.M： To estima.e the cha.a.teristics of Color Doppler findings a.d the results of hepa.ic ra.ionuclide a.giogra.hy （HRa. in seconda.y Hodgkin＇s hepa.ic lymphoma. METHODS： The resea.ch included pa.ients with a.dia.nosis of Hodgkin＇s lymphoma.with meta.ta.ic foca. lesions in the liver a.d controls. Morphologic cha.a.teristics of foca. liver lesions a.d hemodyna.ic pa.a.eters were exa.ined by pulsed a.d Color Doppler in the porta., hepa.ic a.d splenic veins were exa.ined. Hepa.ic perfusion index （HPI） estima.ed by HRa.wa. ca.cula.ed. wa. observed. Lesions were mostly hypoechoic a.d mixed, solita.y or multiple. Some of the pa.ients presented with dila.ed splenic veins a.d hepa.ofuga. blood flow. a.pulse wa.e wa. registered in the centre a.d a. the ma.gins of lymphoma. The a.0}ge velocity of the pulse wa.e wa. higher a. the ma.gins （P 〉 0.05）. a.continuous venous wa.e wa. found only a. the ma.gins of lymphoma. There wa. no linea. correla.ion between lymphoma.size a.d velocity of pulse a.d continuous wa.e （r = 390, P 〈 0.01）. HPI wa. significa.tly lower in pa.ients with lymphoma. tha. in controls （P 〈 0.05）, pointing out increa.ed a.teria. perfusion in compa.ison to porta. perfusion. CONCLUSION： Color Doppler ultra.onogra.hy is a.sensitive method for the detection of neovascula.iza.ion in Hodgkin＇s hepa.ic lymphoma.a.d estima.ion of its intensity. Hepa.ic ra.ionuclide a.giogra.hy ca. a.ditiona.ly help in the a.sesment of vascula.isa.ion of liver lesions.
