The research was conducted during two seasons 2018-2019 and 2019-2020, at the Scientific Research Center in Lattakia-Syria, where the cross between Sour orange, Cleopatra mandarin and Trifoliate orange. The first season was (Sour orange ♂ × Cleopatra mandarin ♀) and (Cleopatra mandarin ♂ × sour orange ♀) and (sour orange ♂ × trifoliate orange ♀), and the crossing in the second season was (Trifoliate orange ♂ × Sour orange ♀), and (Trifoliate orange ♂ × Cleopatra mandarin ♀). The plants of the first generation F1 were exposed to calcareous stress according to two methods. The first one for a long term (two years) method was grown in plots containing 15% and 35% Calcium Carbonate and the control free of Calcium Carbonate for the first cross, and the second one short term (two months) by watering method was with a solution of 1 mol and 2 mol of Calcium Carbonate for the second cross. The indicators of proline and chlorophyll A, B and T were measured in the first-generation individuals, once at the beginning of the experiment and a second time at the end of study. Seven SSR primers were used to identify sexual individuals, five primers were able to identify sexual F1 individuals are CSM13, CSM17, CSM147, CSM18 and TAA27, F1 individuals in the first season (mixture experiment) gave high values

The RHO-related GTPases ROP1 and ROP6 and the ROPl-interacting protein RIC4 in Arabidopsis are involved in various processes of F-actin dynamics, cell growth, and plant/microbe interactions. The knockout ropl and ropl rop6 seeds germinate earlier and are impaired in root hair development. Also root hair branching is strongly affected by manipulation of the RHO-related GTPase （ROP） levels. Furthermore, in the double knockout line ropl rop6, no actin bundle formation can be detected. We demonstrate that these proteins are required for establishing a mutualistic interaction between the root-colonizing endophytic fungus Piriformospora indica and Arabidopsis. The fungus promotes growth of wild-type plants, ropl, rop6, ropl rop6, ric4, 35S：：ROP1, and 35S：：ROP6 seedlings are impaired in the response to the fungus. Since the different root architectures have no effect on root colonization, the impaired response to P. indica should be caused by ROP-mediated events in the root cells. In wild-type roots, P. indica stimulates the formation of F-actin bundles and this does not occur in the ropl rop6 knockout line. Furthermore, the fungus stimulates the expression of the calmodulin-binding protein gene Cbp60g, and this response is severely reduced in the rop mutants. We propose that ROP1 and ROP6 are required for F-actin bundle formation in the roots, which is required for P. indica-mediated growth promotion in Arabidopsis.

A new wave of networks labeled Peer-to-Peer(P2P) networks attracts more researchers and rapidly becomes one of the most popular *** order to matching P2 P logical overlay network with physical topology,the position-based topology has been *** proposed topology not only focuses on non-functional characteristics such as scalability,reliability,fault-tolerance,selforganization,decentralization and fairness,but also functional characteristics are addressed as *** experimental results show that the hybrid complex topology achieves better characteristics than other complex networks' models like small-world and scale-free models;since most of the real-life networks are both scale-free and small-world networks,it may perform well in mimicking the ***,it reveals that the authors improve average distance,diameter and clustering coefficient versus Chord and CAN ***,the authors show that the proposed topology is the most robust model,against failures and attacks for nodes and edges,versus small-world and scale-free networks.

The Straight-Line Depreciation Method Used by Selected Companies and Educational Institutions in the Philippines

The straight-line method in computing for depreciation expense is the prevailing method used in the Philippines. This paper aims to determine the rationale behind the use of this method. The objective of the study is to determine the length of time within which the depreciation method is used, reasons in using the method, the rate of depreciation used by the companies, and the effects of the depreciation expense on their operating expenses. It also determines if the companies＇ decisions to use the straight-line method are influenced by the factors mentioned by Reynolds （196 I）----expected amount of services over the life of assets, the amount and timing of operating costs, the decline in the physical efficiency of the assets, and the rate of return--and if they considered capital investments and tax reduction in using this method. The study shows that companies and educational institutions use the straight-line method of computing depreciation expenses, because it is easy to use in computing the depreciation expenses, in comparing with previous years＇ computations, and in keeping track of the expenses. It is also convenient for tax administration and financial reporting. The rate of depreciation used varies, because the companies and educational institutions use their past experiences in determining the life of fixed assets. The percentage of depreciation to the operating expenses also varies. The companies and educational institutions adhered to the factors mentioned by Reynolds （1961） in choosing the straight-line method of depreciation. The companies did not consider reduction of tax in using the straight-line method.

Objective To investigate the hypocholesterolemic activity of red yeast rice （RYR） and its underlying mechanism. Methods Three groups of hamsters were fed either the control diet or one of the two experimental diets containing by weight 0.1% RYR （0.1RYR） or 0.3% RYR （0.3RYR）. Blood （0.5 mL） was collected from the retro-orbital sinus into a heparinized capillary tube at the end of week 0, 3, and 6. Plasma lipoproteins were measured using enzymatic kits, while fecal neutral and acidic sterols were quantified using a gas-liquid chromatography. Results Plasma total cholesterol was reduced by 12% in 0.1RYR group and by 18% in 0.3RYR group compared with the control value. Similarly, plasma triacylglycerol was decreased by 11% in 0.1RYR group and by 24% in 0.3RYR group. Western blotting analysis demonstrated that RYR had no effect on sterol regulatory element binding protein 2, fiver X receptor, 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutary-CoA reductase, LDL receptor, and cholesterol-7α-hydroxylase. HPLC analysis confirmed that RYR contained 0.88% monacolin K. It was recently found that RYR supplementation increased excretion of fecal acidic sterols by 34 folds compared with the conlrol value. Conclusion Hypocholesterolemic activity of RYR is mediated at least partially by enhancement of acidic sterol excretion.

The purpose of this study was to describe women’s experiences with gender violence and the impact on mental health. The research was a qualitative observational study. Participants were n = 72 women clients of (02) Primary Health Centers at the University of Carabobo-Venezuela. The technique to gather the information was focus group discussion (FGD). The interpretation of data was an analytical process based on Mayring’s approach. The principal findings showed that, women clients of primary health centers experienced different levels of violence in everyday life. Physical violence was the most frequent abuse reported by victims. Death threats were the most frequent conduct used by the partners in terms of psychological violence. Women expressed being under the control of a dominant partner without physical aggression or threats, but they felt a lack of autonomy. Additionally, women who experienced different levels of abuse specified some symptoms that could suggest an impact on mental health. In conclusion, women naturalized dominance and control because they understood this kind of abuse as normal behavior between relationship partners.

Optically pumped lasers based on solution-processed thin-film gain media have recently emerged as low-cost,broadly tunable,and versatile active photonics components that can fit any substrate and are useful for,e.g.,chemo-or biosensing or visible *** single-mode operation has been demonstrated in various resonator architectures with a large variety of gain media-including dye-doped polymers,organic semiconductors,and,more recently,hybrid perovskites-the reported linewidths are typically on the order of a fraction of a nanometer or broader,i.e.,the coherence lengths are no longer than a few millimeters,which does not enable high-resolution spectroscopy or coherent *** linewidth is fundamentally constrained by the short photon cavity lifetime in the standard resonator *** demonstrate here a novel structure for an organic thin-film solid-state laser that is based on a vertical external cavity,wherein a holographic volume Bragg grating ensures both spectral selection and output coupling in an otherwise very compact(,cm3)*** short-pulse(0.4 ns)pumping,Fourier-transform-limited laser pulses are obtained,with a full width at half-maximum linewidth of 900 MHz(1.25 pm).Using 20-ns-long pump pulses,the linewidth can be further reduced to 200 MHz(0.26 pm),which is four times above the Fourier limit and corresponds to an unprecedented coherence length of *** concept is potentially transferrable to any type of thin-film laser and can be ultimately made tunable;it also represents a very compact alternative to bulky grating systems in dye lasers.
