This paper presents the results of fire resistance tests on carbon fiber-reinforced polymer(CFrP)strengthened concrete flexural members,i.e.,T-beams and *** strengthened members were protected with fire insulation and tested under the combined effects of thermal and structural *** variables considered in the tests include the applied load level,extent of strengthening,and thickness of the fire insulation applied to the beams and ***,a previously developed numerical model was validated against the data generated from the fire tests;subsequently,it was utilized to undertake a case *** from fire tests and numerical studies indicate that owing to the protection provided by the fire insulation,the insulated CFrP-strengthened beams and slabs can withstand four and three hours of standard fire exposure,respectively,under service load *** insulation layer impedes the temperature rise in the member;therefore,the CFrP-concrete composite action remains active for a longer duration and the steel reinforcement temperature remains below 400°C,which in turn enhances the capacity of the beams and slabs.

AIM: To investigate the protein expression profi le of mismatch repair (MMr) genes in suspected cases of Lynch syndrome and to characterize the associated germline mutations. METHODS: Immunohistochemical analysis of tumor samples was performed to determine the protein expression profile of MMr protein. Germline mutation screening was carried out on peripheral blood samples. The entire exon regions of MLH1 and MSH2 geneswere amplifi ed by polymerase chain reaction, screened by denaturing high performance liquid chromatography (dHPLC) and analyzed by DNA sequencing to characterize the germline mutations. rESULTS: Three out of 34 tissue samples (8.8%) and four out of 34 tissue samples (11.8%) showed loss of nuclear staining by immunohistochemistry, indicating the absence of MLH1 and MSH2 protein expression in carcinoma cells, respectively. dHPLC analysis followed by DNA sequencing showed these samples to have germline mutations of MSH2 gene. However, no deleterious mutations were identifi ed in any of the 19 exons or coding regions of MLH1 gene, but we were able to identify MLH1 promoter polymorphism, -93G > A (rs1800734), in 21 out of 34 patients (61.8%). We identified one novel mutation, transversion mutation c.2005G > C, which resulted in a missense mutation (Gly669Arg), a transversion mutation in exon 1, c.142G > T, which resulted in a nonsense mutation (Glu48Stop) and splice-site mutation, c.2006-6T > C, which was adjacent to exon 13 of MSH2 gene. CONCLUSION: Germline mutations were identified in four Malaysian Lynch syndrome patients. Immunohistochemical analysis of tumor tissue proved to be a good pre-screening test before proceeding to germline mutation analysis of DNA MMr genes.

The development of defect prediction plays a significant role in improving software quality. Such predictions are used to identify defective modules before the testing and to minimize the time and cost. The software with defects negatively impacts operational costs and finally affects customer satisfaction. Numerous approaches exist to predict software defects. However, the timely and accurate software bugs are the major challenging issues. To improve the timely and accurate software defect prediction, a novel technique called Nonparametric Statistical feature scaled QuAdratic regressive convolution Deep nEural Network (SQADEN) is introduced. The proposed SQADEN technique mainly includes two major processes namely metric or feature selection and classification. First, the SQADEN uses the nonparametric statistical Torgerson–Gower scaling technique for identifying the relevant software metrics by measuring the similarity using the dice coefficient. The feature selection process is used to minimize the time complexity of software fault prediction. With the selected metrics, software fault perdition with the help of the Quadratic Censored regressive convolution deep neural network-based classification. The deep learning classifier analyzes the training and testing samples using the contingency correlation coefficient. The softstep activation function is used to provide the final fault prediction results. To minimize the error, the Nelder–Mead method is applied to solve non-linear least-squares problems. Finally, accurate classification results with a minimum error are obtained at the output layer. Experimental evaluation is carried out with different quantitative metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, F-measure, and time complexity. Sustainable cement-based concrete materials are primarily used for construction,among which vermiculite as lightweight fine aggregate gains more future development ***,a bacterial solution was sprayed over vermiculite and wrapped using calcium sulphoaluminate(CSA)cement to replace with fine aggregate in ***,based on a preliminary test on compressive strength results,10%of Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag(GGBS)and a healing solution proportion of 9:1 was selected for preparing self-healing *** fine aggregate was replaced in concrete using vermiculite in 0%,5%,10%and 15%and the findings suggest that bacterial vermiculite replacement should be at most 5%to achieve better results in strength and durable *** strength enhancement observed for compressive strength,strength regain,split tensile strength,flexural strength,and ultrasonic pulse velocity were 29.22%,45.5%,34.02%,28.03%and 41.4%*** crack healing at 7,14 and 28 days of BIVC was 38.23%,58.82%and 79.41%,which is 3–4%lower than internal crack *** analysis by Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM),X-ray Diffractometer(XrD),and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy(EDS)reveals the existence of calcite,and it was formed due to the bio-mineral action of bacteria with available nutrients in sustainable concrete.

Access control has made a long way from 1960s. With the advent changes of technologies pertaining to location transparency in storage of data, there arises different access control scenarios. Cloud storage, the predominant storage that is being in use currently, also paves way to various access control problems. Though there are various access control mechanisms such as rBAC, ABAC, they are designed on the user’s perspective such as the role held by the user or other attributes assigned to the user. A new access control mechanism called object relationship based access control (roBAC) has been developed based on the relations held among the users. The policy decision of access control is based on the relationship among the classes followed in the Java programming. results have shown that this model best suits various scenarios in the cloud environment, and it also shows that the time for making decision either to allow or to deny is reduced compared to the existing system.

A new technique using fuzzy in a recursive fashion is presented to deal with the Gaussian noise. In this technique, the keyframes and between frames are identified initially and the keyframe is denoised efficiently. This frame is compared with the between frames to remove noise. To do so the frames are partitioned into blocks;the motion vector is calculated;also the difference is measured using the dissimilarity function. If the blocks have no motion vectors in the block, the block of value is copied to the between frames otherwise the difference between the blocks is calculated and this value is filtered with temporal filtering. The blocks are processed in overlapping manner to avoid the blocking effect and also to reduce the additional edges created while processing. The simulation results show that the peak signal to noise ratio of the new technique is improved up to 1 dB and also the execution time is greatly reduced.

Energy efficiency is the prime concern in Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs) as maximized energy consumption without essentially limits the energy stability and network lifetime. Clustering is the significant approach essential for minimizing unnecessary transmission energy consumption with sustained network lifetime. This clustering process is identified as the Non-deterministic Polynomial(NP)-hard optimization problems which has the maximized probability of being solved through metaheuristic *** adoption of hybrid metaheuristic algorithm concentrates on the identification of the optimal or nearoptimal solutions which aids in better energy stability during Cluster Head(CH) selection. In this paper,Hybrid Seagull and Whale Optimization Algorithmbased Dynamic Clustering Protocol(HSWOA-DCP)is proposed with the exploitation benefits of WOA and exploration merits of SEOA to optimal CH selection for maintaining energy stability with prolonged network lifetime. This HSWOA-DCP adopted the modified version of SEagull Optimization Algorithm(SEOA) to handle the problem of premature convergence and computational accuracy which is maximally possible during CH selection. The inclusion of SEOA into WOA improved the global searching capability during the selection of CH and prevents worst fitness nodes from being selected as CH, since the spiral attacking behavior of SEOA is similar to the bubble-net characteristics of WOA. This CH selection integrates the spiral attacking principles of SEOA and contraction surrounding mechanism of WOA for improving computation accuracy to prevent frequent election process. It also included the strategy of levy flight strategy into SEOA for potentially avoiding premature convergence to attain better trade-off between the rate of exploration and exploitation in a more effective manner.
