Neisseria meningitidis is the agent of invasive meningococcal disease, including cerebral meningitis and septicemia. Because the diseases caused by different clonal groups （sequence types） have their own epidemiological characteristics, it is important to understand the differences among the genomes of the N. meningitidis clonal groups. To this end, a novel interpretation of a structural dot plot of genomes was devised and applied; exact nu- cleotide matches between the genomes ofN. meningitidis serogroup A strain Z2491 and serogroup B strain MC58 were identified, leading to the specification of various structural regions. known and putative virulence genes for each N. meningitidis strain were then classified into these regions. We found that virulence genes of MC58 tend more to the translocated regions （chromosomal segments in new sequence contexts） than do those of Z2491, notably tending towards the interface between one of the translocated regions and the collinear region. Within the col- linear region, virulence genes tend to occur within 16 kb of gaps in the exact matches. Verification of these tendencies using genes clustered in the cps locus was sufficiently supportive to suggest that these tendencies can be used to focus the search for and understanding of virulence genes and mechanisms of pathogenicity in these two organisms.

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ErCP) has continued to develop over recent decades with regard to both indications for its use and improvements in technique. The most common complication is post-ErCP pancreatitis (PEP) with incidence rates being reported at ～10%. The exact mechanism of PEP is unknown but is likely multifactorial with papillary edema contributing to the activation of the inflammatory cascade playing an important role. selected risk factors include patient-related factors (female sex, younger age, sphincter of Oddi dysfunction, and history of PEP) and procedure-related factors (difficult cannulation, multiple pancreatic duct guidewire passes, pancreatic acinarization, multiple pancreatic duct contrast injections, and precut sphincterotomy). several preventative prophylactic strategies have been posited; however, current guidelines recommend the use of rectal non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NsAIDs), aggressive intravenous (IV) fluid hydration, and pancreatic duct stents. Appropriate patient selection and the use of noninvasive imaging modalities for diagnosis of pancreaticobiliary abnormalities is a key aspect in prevention. Future studies continue to explore various pharmacologic, procedure-related, and combination strategies for prevention and will be important as the use of ErCP continues to grow.

在300~5000℃、应变速率为0.1~0.0001 s−1的条件下,在万能试验机上对Al-5.6Zn-2Mg铝合金进行热压缩试验,以确定动态再结晶开始时的加工硬化速率曲线σ_(c)(ε_(c))l以及关键特征σ_(c)(ε_(c))l、σ_(p)(ε_(p))和σ_(ss)与Z系数之间的相关性。使用了四个本构模型,Arrhenius模型、改进的Johnson-Cook模型(MJC)、改进的Zerilli-Armstrong模型(MZA)和开发的人工神经网络(ANN)。结果表明,ANN型模型和Arrhenius模型的相对误差的绝对平均值最低,分别为0.486%和3.36%,MZA型模型和MJC型模型的相对误差的绝对平均值较高,分别为8.84%和3.93%。由于Arrhenius模型能够处理各种因素之间的非线性关系,因此它被认为是最合适的预测模型,但在材料性质未知或实验数据有限的情况下,MJC模型可能是一种更简单的替代方法。MZA模型不适合估计热压缩时的流变应力。此外,训练最好的神经网络模型的预测性能最好,相对误差的绝对平均值为0.486%,r值为0.99。

With the increasing demand for power system stability and resilience,effective real-time tracking plays a crucial role in smart grid ***,most studies have focused on measurement noise,while they seldom think about the problem of measurement data loss in smart power grid *** solve this problem,a resilient fault-tolerant extended kalman filter(rFTEkF)is proposed to track voltage amplitude,voltage phase angle and frequency ***,a threephase unbalanced network’s positive sequence fast estimation model is ***,the loss phenomenon of measurements occurs randomly,and the randomness of data loss’s randomness is defined by discrete interval distribution[0,1].subsequently,a resilient fault-tolerant extended kalman filter based on the real-time estimation framework is designed using the timestamp technique to acquire partial data loss ***,extensive simulation results manifest the proposed rFTEkF can synchronize the smart grid more effectively than the traditional extended kalman filter(EkF).

In this editorial we comment on the article published by Zhang et al in the recent issue of World Journal of Clinical *** evaluate their claims on the benefit of use of Aspirin in the early management of patients with ischemic *** also comment on their contention of using aspirin in the early management of patients with intracranial hemorrhage,a practice not seen in modern *** clinical trials such as the International stroke Trial and the Chinese Acute stroke Trial have shown the benefit of Aspirin use within 48 h of patients with Acute Ischemic *** findings were corroborated in the open-label trial performed by Zhang et al in a smaller sample group of 25 patients where they showed improvement in functional scores at 90 days without an increase in adverse *** such,this intervention is also recommended by the American Heart Association stroke guidelines from *** regard to Intracranial hemorrhage,traditional practice has been to discontinue or avoid antiplatelet therapy in these patient ***,no studies have been done to evaluate this management strategy that is more borne out of the mechanism behind Aspirin’s effect on the coagulation *** et al evaluate the benefits of Aspirin on patients with low-volume intracranial hemorrhage,i.e.,less than 30 mL on computed tomo-graphy imaging,and show no increase in *** caveat of this finding is that all outcomes were pooled into one group for results,and the number of patients was *** more studies with larger patient groups are required,the data from Zhang et al suggests that patients with small-volume intracranial hemorrhages may benefit from Aspirin administration in the acute phase of management.

Objective:To assess the attitude and willingness of medical students of the Faculty of Medicine,University of Jaffna,regarding gamete ***:An institutional-based descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted at the Faculty of Medicine,University of Jaffna,from september 2022 to May 2023 among undergraduate medical students who gave their voluntary participation.A self-administered questionnaire was used as a study instrument to collect data regarding their attitude and willingness toward gamete ***:A total of 345 participants were recruited and their sociodemographic data revealed that 56.8%of the participants were female,62.3%aged between 26 and 30 years,and 92.2%were *** of them received information regarding gamete donations during their clinical *** half(67.8%)of them showed a negative attitude towards gamete *** willingness,only 39.7%of participants had a positive approach for being a gamete donor;among them,84.7%preferred anonymous *** and ethnicity had a significant influence on their attitudes and *** addition,male was also found to be more willing to donate ***:Most medical students have negative views about gamete *** awareness and knowledge of assisted reproductive technology and gamete donation within medical students'sociocultural and ethical backgrounds might facilitate a change in attitude towards gamete donation amongst future medical practitioners.
