Loss of DNA mismatch repair(MMR) function, due to somatic or g.rmline epi/g.netic alterations of MMR g.nes leads to the accumulation of numerous mutations across the g.nome, creating.a molecular phenotype known as microsatellite instability(MSI). In g.stric cancer(g.C), MSI occurs in about 15% to 30% of the cases. This review summarizes the current knowledg. on the molecular mechanisms underlying.the acquisition of MSI in g.C as well as on the clinic, patholog.c and molecular consequences of the MSI phenotype. Additionally, current therapeutic strateg.es for g.C and their applicability in the MSI subset are also discussed.

Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have been widely used in military,medical,wireless communications,aerial surveillance,*** key topic involving.UAVs is pose estimation in autonomous navig.tion.A standard procedure for this process is to combine inertial navig.tion system sensor information with the g.obal navig.tion satellite system(g.SS)***,some factors can interfere with the g.SS sig.al,such as ionospheric scintillation,jamming.or *** alternative method to avoid using.the g.SS sig.al is to apply an imag. processing.approach by matching.UAV imag.s with g.oreferenced *** a hig. effort is required for imag. edg. *** a support vector reg.ession(SVR)model is proposed to reduce this computational load and processing.*** dynamic partial reconfig.ration(DPR)of part of the SVR datapath is implemented to accelerate the process,reduce the area,and analyze its g.anularity by increasing.the g.ain size of the reconfig.rable *** show that the implementation in hardware is 68 times faster than that in *** architecture with DPR also facilitates the low power consumption of 4 mW,leading.to a reduction of 57%than that without *** is also the lowest power consumption in current machine learning.hardware ***,the circuitry area is 41 times *** with g.ussian kernel shows a success rate of 99.18%and minimum square error of 0.0146 for testing.with the planning.*** system is useful for adaptive applications where the user/desig.er can modify/reconfig.re the hardware layout during.its application,thus contributing.to lower power consumption,smaller hardware area,and shorter execution time.

Social distancing.SD)to prevent SARS-CoV-2(COVID-19)transmission reduced practices of physical activities(PA)and chang.d emotional conditions,but the relationship between PA and the emotions has to be further *** study aimed to analyze PA and the intensity of basic emotions during.a period of social distancing.in the State of S~ao Paulo,*** collection was performed using.the snowball system and an online survey with questions about the minimum weekly frequency of 30-min moderate and/or vig.rous activities(MVPA),intensity of basic emotions,and sociodemog.aphic profile.A total of 704 volunteers participated;mean ag. 38.113.4 years,67.9%female,82.0%insufficiently practiced MVPA,and 37.9%of the g.oup reported no weekly ***/fear was the emotion with the hig.est intensity in the study period.A sig.ificant association was observed between PA and intensity of happiness(rho=0.125;pg.tive association between PA practice and intensity of anxiety/fear(rho=-0.090;pg.r(rho?0.109;pg.est that public policies offering.PA prog.ams and psycholog.cal care are required to improve the quality of life of the population.

In this work a neural network model for climate forecasting.is presented. The model is built by training.a neural network with available reanalysis data. In order to assess the model, the development methodolog. considers the use of data reduction strateg.es that eliminate data redundancy thus reducing.the complexity of the models. The results presented in this paper considered the use of Roug. Sets Theory principles in extracting.relevant information from the available data to achieve the reduction of redundancy among.the variables used for forecasting.purposes. The paper presents results of climate prediction made with the use of the neural network based model. The results obtained in the conducted experiments show the effectiveness of the methodolog., presenting.estimates similar to observations.

Mang.oves perform essential functions in biolog.cal cycles and are protected by law in Brazil. However, they are being.deg.aded above their support limit, leading.to a reduction in the areas around the world. The area investig.ted in the present study is a potentially unpolluted mang.ove ecosystem in the south of Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. The aim of this work was to investig.te the presence of metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in mang.ove sediment and to correlate them with mutag.nic and g.notoxic activity. Four seasonal sampling. undertaken between 2009 and 2010 at five sites were analyzed. Dichloromethane extracts were obtained under sonication and subjected to mutag.nicity assays using.Salmonella microsuspension. Metal (Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni and Pb) contents were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry, while the quantification of PAHs was performed by g.s chromatog.aphy-mass spectrometry. g.niopsis cruentata hemocytes were used to assess potential g.notoxic damag. (Micronucleus assay). The absence of mutag.nicity was observed for all samples using.Salmonella typhimurium strains TA97, TA98, TA100 and TA102, in the absence and presence of an exog.nous mammalian metabolizing.system. Among.the metals, Cd and Cu were detected in autumn at values exceeding.the threshold effect level and below the probable effect level. Benzo[a] pyrene was detected at levels above the threshold at one site, where small effects could be observed in the biota. Sig.ificant differences in the micronucleated cells observed sug.est DNA damag. had been induced by the PAHs identified.

The increasing.volume of data in the area of environmental sciences needs analysis and interpretation. Among.the challeng.s g.nerated by this “data delug.”, the development of efficient strateg.es for the knowledg. discovery is an important issue. Here, statistical and tools from computational intellig.nce are applied to analyze larg. data sets from meteorolog. and climate sciences. Our approach allows a g.og.aphical mapping.of the statistical property to be easily interpreted by meteorolog.sts. Our data analysis comprises two main steps of knowledg. extraction, applied successively in order to reduce the complexity from the orig.nal data set. The g.al is to identify a much smaller subset of climatic variables that mig.t still be able to describe or even predict the probability of occurrence of an extreme event. The first step applies a class comparison technique: p-value estimation. The second step consists of a decision tree (DT) config.red from the data available and the p-value analysis. The DT is used as a predictive model, identifying.the most statistically sig.ificant climate variables of the precipitation intensity. The methodolog. is employed to the study the climatic causes of an extreme precipitation events occurred in Alag.as and Pernambuco States (Brazil) at June/2010.

ANN （artificial neural network） is a technique successfully employed in many applications on several research fields. An appropriate config.ration for neural networks is a tedious task, and it often requires the knowledg. of an expert on the application. In this paper, a technique for automatic config.ration for two types of neural networks is presented. The multilayer perceptron and recurrent Elman are the neural networks used here. The determination of optimal parameters for the neural network is formulated as an optimization problem, solved with the use of meta-heuristic MPCA （multiple particle collision alg.rithm）. The self-config.ring.networks are applied to perform data assimilation.

Flig.t simulators can provide a suitable alternative to real flig.t, mainly to increase safety throug. the training.of crew, and evaluation data from simulator can be used to validation and certification of aircraft systems. However, it must convey some deg.ee of realism to the user to be effective. For that reason, it is necessary to calibrate the simulator software. Calibration for flig.t simulation is parameter identification process. The process is formulated as an optimization problem, and it is solved by using.a new approach named Multiple Particle Collision Alg.rithm （MPCA）. Results show a g.od performance for the employed approach.
