We quantify and correct systematic errors in PPMXl proper motions using extragalactic sources from the first two lAMOST data releases and the Vbron-Cetty ＆ Vebron Catalog of Quasars. Although the majority of the sources are from the Veron catalog, lAMOST makes important contributions in regions that are not well-sampled by previous catalogs, particularly at low Galactic latitudes and in the south Galactic cap. We show that quasars in PPMXl have measurable and significant proper motions, which reflect the systematic zero-point offsets present in the catalog. We confirm the global proper motion shifts seen by Wu et al., and additionally find smaller-scale fluctuations of the QSO-derived corrections to an absolute frame. We average the proper motions of 158 106 extragalactic objects in bins of 3° ×3° and present a table of proper motion corrections.

Dallisgrass (Paspalum dilatatum) is well adapted to the Black Belt region of the southeastern US, and information on its productivity and nutritive quality as influenced by fertility is needed. In each yr of a 2-yr study, an existing dallisgrass pasture that had been subdivided into 48 plots of 9.3 m2 each was fertilized with the equivalent of 34 (34N), 67 (67N), 101 (101N) or 134 (134N) kg N/ha from poultry litter (Pl) or commercial fertilizer (CF;NH4NO3). In both years, primary-growth and vegetative regrowth forage was harvested in mid-August and late September, respectively, and forage from each harvest was clipped to either a 5- or 10-cm stubble height. Forage cut to a 5-cm height yielded 71% more (P lds were not different between CF and Pl treatments across years and fertilization rates. Concentration of crude protein (CP) was greater (P = 0.002) for CF than Pl forage and increased for both fertilizer sources with increasing rates of N application. Forage concentrations of cell-wall constituents were not different between CF and Pl treatments. Forage amended with CF had a higher concentration of Ca, Mg and Mn than Pl-amended forage;however, forage amended with Pl had a higher concentration of P and K than CF-amended forage. There was no effect of fertilizer source on forage concentration of Al, Cu or Zn. Results indicate that Pl and CF were comparable for supporting productivity and nutritive quality of dallisgrass on Black Belt soils.

This paper develops a many-objective optimization model, which contains objectives representing the interests of the electricity and gas networks, as well as the distributed district heating and cooling units, to coordinate the benefits of all parties participated in the integrated energy system(IES). In order to solve the many-objective optimization model efficiently, an improved objective reduction(IOR) approach is proposed, aiming at acquiring the smallest set of objectives. The IOR approach utilizes the Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient to measure the relationship between objectives based on the Pareto-optimal front captured by the multi-objective group search optimizer with adaptive covariance and lévy flights algorithm, and adopts various strategies to reduce the number of objectives gradually. Simulation studies are conducted on an IES consisting of a modified IEEE 30-bus electricity network and a 15-node gas network. The results show that the many-objective optimization problem is transformed into a bi-objective formulation by the IOR. Furthermore,our approach improves the overall quality of dispatch solutions and alleviates the decision making burden.

New and compiled detrital zircon U-Pb ages from the southern Neoproterozoic-Cambrian Ribeira Belt,SE Brazil,demonstrate laurentian affinity of the Embu Terrane which is statistically distinct from the adjoining Apiaíand São Roque terranes with cratonic affinity(e.g.,São Francisco Craton).Zircon provenance results indicate that the type-area of the Embu Terrane is dominated by detrital zircon age modes at ca.1200 Ma,1400 Ma,and 1800 Ma,with maximum depositional age of ca.1000 *** contrast,the Apiaíand São Roque terranes are dominated by Paleoproterozoic detrital zircon ages(ca.2200-2000 Ma age dominant component),with maximum depositional ages of ca.1400 Ma and 1750 Ma,*** scaling(MDS)analysis of non-parametric similarity measurements on zircon age populations indicates for the first time that the Embu Terrane encompass two statistically distinct detrital zircon age spectra,which is also reflected in the metamorphic zircon age *** statistical characterization of the Embu Terrane through populational metrics allow a quantitative comparison with surrounding tectonic domains and rock samples classified such as *** results clearly highlight the distinction between the statistically differentiated Embu Terrane from the Apiaíand São Roque terranes,supporting an allochthonous *** addition,we demonstrate that rocks samples previously classified as Embu-type are significantly dissimilar to the definition of Embu Terrane,failing to support alternative tectonic models(e.g.,intracontinental evolution).Detrital zircon age spectra reveal that the Apiaíand São Roque terranes have similar zircon provenance to domains sourced from the São Francisco Craton,whereas detrital zircon populations from the Embu Terrane have greater affinity with SW laurentia basins(and their inferred sediment sources),consistent with previous ***,we interpret the Embu Terrane as a Rodinia descendant developed along the active margin o

Background: Sufficient coronary perfusion pressure (CPP) to provide myocardial reperfusion is required for defibrillation success after prolonged ventricular fibrillation (VF) cardiac arrest. Chest compression interruptions cause a precipitous drop in CPP. Objective: To quantify the ex- tent to which CPP recovers to pre-pause levels following chest compression interruptions. Me- thods: This was a secondary analysis of data from two similar IACUC approved protocols. A total of 105 Yorkshire swine were included and VF was electrically induced. After 10 minutes of untreated VF in the first study (n = 52) and 12 minutes of untreated VF in the second (n = 53), CPR began and epinephrine was administered approximately 2 minutes prior to a planned 10-second pause to record an artifact-free ECG waveform segment. Following this pause, CPR was resumed for 20- seconds prior to defibrillation. CPP data were extracted from three time points: 2 minutes after epinephrine delivery (CPP1);following the chest compression pause (CPP2);and immediately before defibrillation (CPP3). Our primary outcome was defined as the ratio of CPP recovery (CPP3- CPP2) to the drop in CPP (CPP1-CPP2). Results: Interrupting compressions resulted in a significant drop in CPP (29.8 mmHg [95%CI: 26.2, 33.4] to 6.8 mmHg [95%CI: 5.4, 8.2]). Resuming CPR for restored 83% (95%CI: 78%, 86%) of the CPP lost. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that 83% of the decline in CPP values during a planned 10-second interruption in CPR can be restored with a short period of precordial compressions prior to defibrillation.

A three-dimensional transient heat transfer model for laser transformation hardening process has been developed in this paper. The finite size of the laser treated sample, the surface heat loss of the sample, the latent heat of phase transformation and the temperature dependence of thermal properties of materials were considered. The heat source was considered as a moving Gaussian heat flux with a constant velocity. Three-dimension unequally spatial grid explicit finite difference equations, alternating direction implicit finite difference equations and implicit finite difference equations were deduced respectively. Three programs to calculate the temperature field were developed using Fortran language. The transient temperature fields of C22, 42CrMo, C60 steel samples during laser transformation hardening process were calculated using these programs, and the widths and depths of laser transformation hardening zones were also predicted. C22, 42CrMo, C60 steel samples were treated by CO_2 laser,the widths and depths of laser transformation hardening zones of these samples were also measured experimentally. The calculated widths and depths of laser transformation hardening zones are in good agreement with the experimental results.

Pancreatic cystic lesions comprise various entities with different histopathological characteristics and their dif-ferential diagnosis is often a challenge for clinicians. Autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) is usually not considered in the differential diagnosis of cystic lesions, but often mimics the morphological aspects of pancreatic neo-plasm. We report the case of a 64-year-old male patient with a cystic pancreatic head lesion (diameter 5 cm) and stenosis of the distal bile duct requiring repeated stent-ing. Because of the clinical presentation together with moderate elevation of serum CA19-9 and massive eleva-tion of cyst fluid CA19-9 (122.695 U/l; normal range: l), the patient underwent explorative laparotomy and pylorus preserving partial pancreaticoduodenectomy. Histology revealed surprisingly AIP with an inflammatory pseudocyst. In conclusion, cyst fluid analysis of tumor markers and cyst fluid cytology lack high accuracy to clearly differentiate cystic pancreatic lesions. Although AIP is rarely associated with pseudocysts, the disease has to be considered in the differential diagnosis of cys-tic pancreatic lesions. Early examination of serum IgG, IgG4 and auto-antibodies might save these patients from unnecessary endoscopical and surgical procedures.
