A mathematical model is proposed to execute the features of the non-uniform heat source or sink in the chemically reacting magnetohydrodynamic （MHD） Casson fluid across a slendering sheet in the presence of microorganisms and Cattaneo-Christov heat flux. Multiple slips （diffusion, thermal, and momentum slips） are applied in the modeling of the heat and mass transport processes. The Runge-Kutta based shooting method is used to find the solutions. Numerical simulation is carried out for various values of the physical constraints when the Casson index parameter is positive, negative, or infinite with the aid of plots. The coefficients of the skin factors, the local Nusselt number, and the sherwood number are estimated for different parameters, and discussed for engineering interest. It is found that the gyrotactic microorganisms are greatly encouraged when the dimensionless parameters increase, especially when the Casson fluid parameter is negative. It is worth mentioning that th~ velocity profiles when the Casson fluid parameter is positive are higher than those when the Casson fluid parameter is negative or infinite, whereas the temperature and concentration fields show exactly opposite phenomena.

Ras proteins are signal-transducing GTPases that cycle between inactive GDP-bound and active GTP-bound *** is a prolific signaling molecule interacting with a spectrum of effector molecules and acting through more than one signaling *** Ras-effector proteins contain a Ras-associating(RA)domain through which these associate with Ras in a GTP-dependent *** RA domain is highly conserved among the members of the growth factor receptor-bound(Grb)7 family of proteins which includes Grb7,Grb10 and *** laboratory has reported an unusual observation that RA domain of Grb14 binds to the C-terminal nucleotide binding site of cyclic nucleotide gated channel(CTRCNGA1)and inhibits the channel *** modeling of the CTR-CNGA1 displays 50%---70%tertiary structural similarity towards Ras *** named this region as Ras-like domain(RLD).The interaction between RA-Grb14 and RLD-CNGA1 is mediated through a simple protein-protein interaction temporally and spatially regulated by light and *** is interesting to note that Grb14 binds to GTPase-mutant Rab5,a Ras-related small GTPase whereas Grb10 binds only to GTP-bound form of active Rab5 but not to GTPase-defective mutant *** results suggest that Grb14 might have been evolved later in the evolution that binds to both Ras and nucleotide binding proteins such as *** studies also suggest that eukaryotic CNG channels could be evolved through a gene fusion between prokaryotic ion channels and cyclic nucleotide binding proteins,both of which might have undergone several sequence variations for functional adaptation during evolution.

Objective:The purpose of the study was to evaluate listening effort in adults who experience varied annoyance towards *** and methods:Fifty native Kannada-speaking adults aged 41e68 years *** evaluated the participant's acceptable noise level while listening to ***,a sentence-final wordidentification and recall test at 0 dB sNR(less favorable condition)and 4 dB sNR(relatively favorable condition)was used to assess listening *** repeat and recall scores were obtained for each ***:The regression model revealed that the listening effort increased by 0.6%at 0 dB sNR and by 0.5%at 4 dB sNR with every one-year advancement in *** effort increased by 0.9%at 0 dB sNR and by 0.7%at 4 dB sNR with every one dB change in the value of Acceptable Noise Level(ANL).At 0 dB sNR and 4 dB sNR,a moderate and mild negative correlation was noted respectively between listening effort and annoyance towards noise when the factor age was ***:Listening effort increases with age,and its effect is more in less favorable than in relatively favorable ***,if the annoyance towards noise was controlled,the impact of age on listening effort was *** effort correlated with the level of annoyance once the age effect was ***,the listening effort was predicted from the ANL to a moderate degree.

This paper investigates the chemical reaction and thermal radiation effects on unsteady MHD free convective flow past a vertical porous plate in the presence of heat absorption/*** novelty of present investigation is that the temperature and concentration of the plate are span wise cosinusoidally unsteady with *** second order perturbation technique is employed to study the non-linear partial differential equations which govern the fluid *** effects of magnetic parameter,radiation,Eckert number,schmidt number and chemical reaction parameters on velocity,temperature and concentration distributions as well as skin friction coefficients,the rate of heat transfer and the rate of mass transfer are discussed through figures and *** is noticed that the Nusselt number declines with rising values of Prandtl and Eckert numbers.

The occurrence of rhythmic layering of chromite and host serpentinites in the deformed layered igneous complexes has been noticed in the Nuggihalli schist belt （NsB） in the western Dharwar craton, Karnataka, south India. For this study, the chromitite rock samples were collected from Jambur, Tagadur, Bhakatarhalli, Ranganbetta and Byrapur in the NsB. Petrography and ore microscopic studies on chromite show intense cataclasis and alteration to ferritchromite. The ferritchromite compositions are characterized by higher Cr number （Cr/[Cr＋AI]）（0.68-0.98） and lower Mg number （Mg/[Mg＋Fe]）（0.33-0.82） ratios in ferritchromite compared to that of parent chromite. The formation process for the ferritchromite is thought to be related to the exchange of Mg, AI, Cr, and Fe between the chromite, surrounding silicates （serpentines, chlorites）, and fluid during serpentinization.

In this paper,stagnation point region(suspended with nanofluid and microorganisms)is examined subjected to velocity and thermal *** flow is assumed to be flowing across an exponentially stretching flat surface under magnetic field *** transport equations(framed under Buongiorno’s model)are converted into self-similar form through suitable unsteady exponential similarity transformations which are then solved by employing implicit finite difference scheme(IFDs)known as Keller-box method(KBM).A parametric analysis is performed along with limited details of *** of pertinent constraints on local skin friction,local Nusselt number,local sherwood number and local density number of micro-organisms are also uncovered through graphs.A significant decrease in skin-friction coefficients has been detected with respect to thermal slip in comparison to velocity slip.

Objective:To highlight the nephroprotective activity of ethyl acetate extract of dried flowers of Tecomu stans for its protective effects on genlamicin-induced nephrotoxicity in albino rats. Methods:For studying acute toxicity study,single oral dose of 5（KM） mg ethyl acetate floral extract/kg hodv weight was administered to albino rats（five females,five males）.Nephrotoxicity was induced in albino rats by intraperitoneal administration of gentamicin 80 mg/kg/day for eight *** of concurrent administration of ethyl acetate floral extract of Tecoma stans at a dose of 100.200 and 300 mg/kg/day given by oral mute was determined using serum creatinine,serum uric acid,blood urea nitrogen and serum urea as indicators of kidney *** study groups contained six rats in each *** nephrotoxicity of gentamicin is known to involve induction of oxidative stress,in vitro antioxidant aclivity and free radical-scavenging activity of this extract was also ***:For acute toxicity testing both female and male rats administered with the extract at a dose of 5 000 mg/*** results showed no toxicity in terms of general behavior change,mortality,or change in gross appearance of internal organs(LDsub>50sub>>5 000 mg/kg). Expert scientific knowledge is fast becoming an integral part of disaster management, and, in the process, is changing the role of science for the reduction of disaster risks at the policy level. Yet science and policy operate in different domains between which there are often competing interests and modes of valuing knowledge. Based on research done as part of the research project Enhancing synergies for Disaster Prevention in the European Union(EsPREssO), we discuss three major issues facing European Union member states with respect to the interface between science and policy for disaster risk reduction:knowledge transfer, disaster expertise, and risk *** doing so, we hone in on three gaps: an epistemological gap, an institutional gap, and a strategic gap. We argue that these gaps can help explain underlying systematic challenges for the integration between science and policy for disaster risk reduction. These gaps need to be addressed by focusing on changes at the governance level.
