Wafer scale direct-write of Ge and Si nanostructures with conducting stamps and a modified mask aligner

The broad availability of high throughput nanostructure fabrication is essential for advancement in nanoscale science. Large-scale manufacturing developed by the semiconductor industry is often too resource-intensive for medium scale laboratory prototyping. We demonstrate the inexpensive wafer scale direct- write of Ge and Si nanostructures with a 4-inch mask aligner retrofitted with a conducting microstructured stamp. A bias applied between the stamp and an underlying silicon substrate results in the reaction of diphenylgermane and diphenylsilane precursors at the stamp--substrate interface to yield the direct- write of Ge and Si nanostructures in determined locations. With the increasing number of outdated mask aligners available from the semiconductor industry and an extensive library of liquid precursors, this strategy provides facile, inexpensive, wafer scale semiconductor direct-write for applications such as electronics, photonics, and photovoltaics.

The main geometrical and operating parameters of the water steam centrifugal compressors working in various concentrator operating conditions are realized in this paper. The interdependence between centrifugal stage pressure ratio, peripheral Mach number and impeller peripheral speed, as well the influence of the concentrator system capacity on the dimensions of the centrifugal compressor are determined to obtain the range of reasonable usage of the centrifugal thermocompression systems in the industrial concentrators. The high peripheral impeller speed, high Mach number and high pressure ratio cause separated jet-wake flow and transonic flow phenomena in the water steam centrifugal compressor flow field. The calculating methods for 3-D viscid unsteady transonic fluid flows in the turbocompressors are discussed and the results of CFD simulations and experimental investigations are used for optimal design of the water steam centrifugal compressor flow field. The application of the centrifugal compressor in the industrial concentrators with thermocompression systems and the influence on the energy efficiency of the systems are analyzed. Significant increment of the energy efficiency of the industrial concentrators can be achieved by introduction of the thermocompression systems.

An analysis of the thermal characteristics of the industrial thermocompression heat pump systems is presented in this paper By using thermocompression, waste heat is thermotransformed to a higher temperature level to be convenient for its usage in thermal processes. The thermocompression heat pumps can be optimally applied in various industrial plants （production of fruit, grape and tomato concentrates, in beer, sugar and dairy industries, in chemical and pharmaceutical industries etc.）. The range of optimal application of the turbo compressor, screw compressor and ejector thermocompression is estimated. The complex thermal and flow phenomena in the processes of thermocompression, evaporation and condensation are discussed. The theoretical and experimental results of the investigations on the experimental grape vacuum concentrator and on the industrial NaOH concentrator are presented. A significant increment of the energy efficiency can be achieved by optimal application of the thermocompression in the thermal concentrating processes. A significant feature and great advantage of the concentrating technology with thermocompression are a possibility for realization of the low temperature concentrating processes, which is very important for the quality of many concentrating products with high energy efficiency technology.

It is well known that the dynamic response of the structure to an earthquake excitation is affected by the interaction with the foundation and the *** expansion of informatics and development of the computer capacities has helped the scientists to develop numerical models for approximate solutions of big variety of problems related to SSI(Soil Structure Interaction).Many of those problems involve *** this paper we built numerical model,based on finite differences and we investigate the accuracy of the numerical model depending upon the size of the square domain around the *** tested eight different square sizes and we analyzed their accuracy regarding to five different wave *** results give recommendations for the implementation of the domain-coupling algorithm.

Recently, Yadaiah and Haragopal published in the American Journal of Operations Research a new approach to solving the unbalanced assignment problem. They also provide a numerical example which they solve with their approach and get a cost of 1550 which they claim is optimum. This approach might be of interest;however, their approach does not guarantee the optimal solution. In this short paper, we will show that solving this same example from the Yadaiah and Haragopal paper by using a simple textbook formulation to balance the problem and then solve it with the classic Hungarian method of Kuhn yields the true optimal solution with a cost of 1520.

In order to create or design a development, it is necessary to have a look backwards. To identify and understand the resources based on the possessed knowledge, steps for development are proposed. But, no less important is to understand the surrounding, what others are doing/planning, as it will save precious time in inventing something which is maybe already implemented elsewhere. Based on that assumption, this paper deals with the analysis of the current status of the organic farming （O.F.） in Macedonia and the Mediterranean countries, as they are closest to the soil and climate conditions that exist in Macedonia as well. This paper will try to give answer to the question ＂how to maintain the present level of development and to set parameters which should be used in order to reach further development＂. The analysis process was implemented by using SWOT （strength, weakness, opportunity, and threats） analysis for Macedonia and the Mediterranean countries. The analysis result indicates that there are numerous common factors, resources, structures, and gaps in the organic sector. This paper＇s goal is to present a list of strategic goals and instruments for development of O.F. in Macedonia and Mediterranean countries. The data related to the facts and visions are referred to the Republic of Macedonia, but relevant data on EU countries, candidate-countries, and south Mediterranean countries are presented as well. The conclusions are with special accent to the new possibilities for development of O.F. in the near future, especially through applicative scientific research activities.

Status and trends of biodiversity components in Republic of Macedonia are presented in this article. The monitoring of biodiversity components is conducted according to the criteria of SEBI 2010 （Streamlining European 2010 Biodiversity Indicators） for establishment of consistency at global, regional, EU and national indicator level. Two core segments of the Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan of Republic of Macedonia are presented as well as the draft list of biodiversity indicators. Ecosystems and biotopes （presented with plant communities） are explained from which 30 Corine habitat classes are identified for the Republic of Macedonia. The number of endemic and endangered species from different taxonomic groups of vascular plants, fungi, fauna, and Emerald species with European importance are presented. Agro-biodiversity, structure of agriculture land, autochthonic breeds of domestic animals as well as the network of protected areas in Republic of Macedonia are presented. At the end conclusion remarks are given for future necessary activities at national and international level regarding monitoring and conservation of the biodiversity.
