The Influence of the ＂Terroir＂ Concerning the Quantity and Quality of Grapes Yield at White Grapevine Varieties Growing in the lasi Vineyard

Abstract： Romania is famous of the potential of his vineyard, winemaking is a traditional occupation, in fact it can be said that there are many areas that can provide a vineyard product. Moreover, typicity and authenticity of a wine are defining conditions under conditions of fierce intemational competition to guarantee success of wine. There were concerns for determining areas with designation of origin from a vineyard that will produce quality wines, but the purpose of this study is to delimit the level of a vineyard small area that can ensure the achievement of a certain type of wine, a quality required by consumers. The research was made during 2006-2008 and revealed that the production of quality grapes and are influenced by different factors such as genetic, environmental and technological acting in complex. This is a first attempt to study characterize the concept of ＂terroir＂, as applied in the Copou vineyard from lasi county and provides information on the behavior of two varieties of grapes for wine： Feteasca Regala and Muscat Ottonel. Depending on the purpose, observations and calculations have found the influence of soil characteristics on several biochemical parameters and productive at varieties of Feteasca Regala and Muscat Ottonel （soluble carbohydrate content, total acidity, the average yield of grapes） for the purpose of knowledge than a more detailed wine center in northeast of Romania. The results of this study can be used to determine with precision small areas crop at the parcel that will produce quality wines.

Adsorption of Three Commercial Dyes onto Chitosan Beads Using Spectrophotometric Determination and a Multivariate Calibration Method

A simple and rapid analytical method for the simultaneous quantification of three commercial azo dyes—Tartrazine (TAR), Congo Red (CR), and Amido Black (AB) in water is presented. The simultaneous assessment of the individual concentration of an organic dye in mixtures using a spectrophotometric method is a difficult procedure in analytical chemistry, due to spectral overlapping. This drawback can be overcome if a multivariate calibration method such as Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) is used. This study presents a calibration model based on absorption spectra in the 300 - 650 nm range for a set of 20 different mixtures of dyes, followed by the prediction of the concentrations of dyes in 6 validation mixtures, randomly selected, using the PLSR method. Estimated limits of detection (LOD) were 0.106, 0.047 and 0.079 mg/L for TAR, CR, and AB, respectively, and limits of quantification (LOQ) were 0.355, 0.157 and 0.265 mg/L for TAR, CR, and AB, respectively. Quantitative determination of the three azo dyes was performed following optimized adsorption experiments onto chitosan beads of mixtures of TAR, CR and AB. Adsorption isotherm and kinetic studies were carried out, proving that the proposed PLSR method is rapid, accurate and reliable.

In all studies that analyzed biodiesel pollution effect of this compound on animals and especially marine animals. Biodiesel (methanol and sodium hydroxide) as to be taken into account. Less emphasis is placed on biodiesel pollution of soils and waters (which can occur in the event of an environmental accident), which is considered a biodegradable product. But an accidental pollution due to the derailment of a freight train (August 12, 2020 on the CF line the Bucharest-Craiova highway, in the area of the CF bridge from Cârcea locality, Dolj county, Romania), confirmed the lack of knowledge in this field, as well as the way of depollution and restoration of the environment. This article describes how to pollute the soil with biodiesel, as well as the mathematical equations that describe this phenomenon.

The improved corrosion resistance, osteogenic activity, and antibacterial ability are the key factors for promoting the large-scale clinical application of magnesium (Mg)-based implants. In the present study, a novel nanocomposite coating composed of inner magnesium hydroxide, middle graphene oxide, and outer hydroxyapatite (Mg(OH)_(2)/GO/HA) is constructed on the surface of Mg-0.8Ca-5Zn-1.5Ag by a combined strategy of hydrothermal treatment, electrophoretic deposition, and electrochemical deposition. The results of material characterization and electrochemical corrosion test showed that all the three coatings have high bonding strength, hydrophilicity and corrosion resistance. In vitro studies show that Mg(OH)2 indeed improves the antibacterial activity of the substrate. The next GO and GO/HA coating procedures both promote the osteogenic differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells and show no harm to the antibacterial activity of Mg(OH)2 coating, but the latter exhibits the best promoting effect. In vivo studies demonstrate that the Mg alloy with the composite coating not only ameliorates osteolysis induced by bacterial invasion but also promotes bone regeneration under both normal and infected conditions. The current study provides a promising surface modification strategy for developing multifunctional Mg-based implants with good corrosion resistance, antibacterial ability and osteogenic activity to enlarge their biomedical applications.

Bidirectional modulation of HIF-2 activity through allosteric ligands

OBJECTIVE Hypoxia-inducible factor-2(HIF-2) is a heterodimeric transcription factor formed through dimerization between an oxygen-sensitive subunit HIF-2α subunit and its obligate partner subunit *** HIF-2 activity drives some cancers, while reduced activity causes anemia in chronic kidney disease. Therefore, modulation of HIF-2 activity via direct-binding ligands could provide many new therapeutic benefits. METHODS We explored HIF-2α chemical ligands using combined crystallographic, biophysical, and cell-based functional studies. RESULTS We found chemically unrelated antagonists to employ the same mechanism of *** binding displaced residue M252 from inside the HIF-2α PAS-B pocket toward the ARNT subunit to weaken heterodimerization. We also identified first-in-class HIF-2α agonists and found they significantly displaced pocket residue Y281. Its dramatic side-chain movement increases heterodimerization stability and transcriptional *** Our findings show that despite binding to the same HIF-2α PAS-B pocket, ligands can manifest as inhibitors versus activators by mobilizing different pocket residues to al osterical y alter HIF-2α-ARNT heterodimerization.
