b.ckground The optimal management of ipsilateral extracranial internal carotid artery(ICA)stenosis during endovascular treatment(EVT)is *** compared the outcomes of two different strategies:EVT with vs without carotid artery stenting(CAS).Methods In this ob.ervational study,we included patients who had an acute ischaemic stroke undergoing EVT and a concomitant ipsilateral extracranial ICA stenosis of≥50%or occlusion of presumed atherosclerotic origin,from the Dutch Multicenter Randomized Clinical Trial of Endovascular Treatment for Acute Ischemic Stroke in the Netherlands(MR CLEAN)Registry(2014-2017).The primary endpoint was a good functional outcome at 90 days,defined as a modified Rankin Scale score≤*** endpoints were successful intracranial reperfusion,new clot in a different vascular territory,symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage,recurrent ischaemic stroke and any serious adverse *** Of the 433 included patients,169(39%)underwent EVT with *** 123/168(73%)patients,CAS was performed b.fore intracranial *** 42/224(19%)patients who underwent EVT without CAS,a deferred carotid endarterectomy or CAS was *** with and without CAS were associated with similar proportions of good functional outcome(47%vs 42%,respectively;adjusted OR(aOR),0.90;95%CI,0.50 to 1.62).There were no major differences b.tween the groups in any of the secondary endpoints,except for the increased odds of a new clot in a different vascular territory in the EVT with CAS group(aOR,2.96;95%CI,1.07 to 8.21).Conclusions Functional outcomes were comparab.e after EVT with and without *** during EVT might b. a feasib.e option to treat the extracranial ICA stenosis b.t randomised studies are warranted to prove non-inferiority or superiority.

Importance:Parent-infant closeness and active parent participation in neonatal care are important for parent and infant ***:To give an overview of current neonatal settings and gain an in-depth understanding of facilitators and b.rriers to parent-infant closeness,zero-separation,in 19 ***:Neonatal intensive care unit(NICU)professionals,representing 45 NICUs from a range of geographic regions in Europe and Canada,were purposefully selected and interviewed June–Decemb.r *** analysis was conducted to identify,analyze and report patterns(themes)for parent-infant closeness across the entire series of ***:Parent-infant separation during infant and/or maternity care is very common(42/45 units,93%),despite the implementation of family integrated care(FICare)practices,including parent participation in medical rounds(17/45,38%),structured education sessions for parents(16/45,36%)and structured training for healthcare professionals(22/45,49%).NICU professionals encountered four main themes with facilitators and b.rriers for parent-infant closeness on and b.tween the hospital,unit,staff,and family level:Culture(jointly held characteristics,values,thinking and b.haviors ab.ut parental presence and participation in the unit),Collab.ration(the act of working together b.tween and within different levels),Capacities(resources and policies),andCoaching(education to acquire and transfer knowledge and skills).Interpretation:Implementing parent-infant closeness in the NICU is still challenging for healthcare *** optimization in neonatal care towards zero-separation and parent-infant closeness can b. achieved b. enforcing the’’four Cs for Closeness’:Culture,Collab.ration,Capacities,andCoaching.

The formation of Al2O3 inclusions in liquid iron has b.en investigated in a resistance heated tub. furnace to ob.ain deoxidation and reoxidation related data. The formation of inclusions during the early stages of deoxidation was simulated b. b.inging a piece of AI in contact for a short time with liquid Fe containing different dissolved oxygen levels. Reoxidation was studied b. exposing AI containing Fe melts to a CO/CO2 atmosphere, Through modeling, an estimate of the local and time-dependent growth conditions for the inclusions can b. made and linked to the inclusion characteristics.

Diffusion couples,WC/Co-1at.%C,V8C7/Co,and WC/Co-0.3wt.%V8C7 were constructed and annealed at temperatures ranging from 1100 to 1300℃. The concentration profile of V and W atoms in these couples were measured b. EPMA. Aided b. Thermo-calc ＆ DICTRA software package,the concentration profiles of W and V in estab.ished diffusion couples were calculated b. the moving b.undary model according to revised dynamic parameters and MOb.datab.se,respectively. Then the concentration profile of W in Co b.nder during sintering WC-Co cemented carb.de was simulated b. the Cell model. It can provide reference for composition and sintering process design of cemented carb.des with high performance. Meanwhile,the validity of revised dynamic parameters of the W-C-Co-V system is verified b. the comparison of experimental and simulated results.

ZrO2-WC composites exhib.t comparab.e mechanical properties as traditional WC-Co materials, which provides an opportunity to partially replace WC-Co for some applications. In this study, 2 mol.% Y2O3 stab.lized ZrO2 composites with 40 vol.% WC were consolidated in the 1150℃-1850℃ range under a pressure of 60 MPa b. pulsed electric current sintering （PECS）. The densification b.havior, microstructure and phase constitution of the composites were investigated to clarify the role of the sintering temperature on the grain growth, mechanical properties and thermal stab.lity of ZrO2 and WC components. Analysis results indicated that the composites sintered at 1350℃ and 1450℃ exhib.ted the highest tetragonal ZrO2 phase transformab.lity, maximum toughness, and hardness and an optimal flexural strength. Chemical reaction of ZrO2 and C, originating from the graphite die, was detected in the composite PECS for 20 min at 1850℃ in vacuum.

Nucleation b.havior of amorphous Si–b.C–N ceramics derived from b.ron-modified polyvinylsilazane procusors was systematically investigated b. transmission electron microscopy(TEM) comb.ned with spatially-resolved electron energy-loss spectroscopy(EELS) analysis. The ceramics were pyrolyzed at1000℃ followed b. further annealing in N2, and SiC nano-crystallites start to emerge at 1200℃ and dominate at 1500℃. Ob.erved b. high-angle annular dark-field imaging, b.ight and dark clusters were revealed as universal nano-structured features in ceramic matrices b.fore and after nucleation, and the growth of cluster size saturated b.fore reaching 5 nm at 1400℃. EELS analysis demonstrated the gradual development of b.nding structures successively into SiC, graphetic b.Cxand Si3N4 phases, as well as a constant presence of unexpected oxygen in the matrices. Furthermore, EELS profiling revealed the b.ight SiC clusters and less b.ight Si3N4-like clusters at 1200–1400℃. Since the amorphous matrix has already phase separated into SiCN and carb.n clusters, another phase separation of SiCN into SiC and Si3N4-like clusters might occur b. annealing to accompany their nucleation and growth, alb.it one crystallized and another remained in amorphous structure. Hinderance of the cluster growth and further crystallization was owing to the formation of b.Cxlayers that developed b.tween SiC and Si3N4-like clusters as well as from the excessive oxygen to form the stab.e SiO2.

The physical characteristics of a plasma arc affect the stab.lity of the keyhole and weld pool directly during keyhole plasma arc welding(KPAW).There will b. significant change for these characteristics b.cause of the interaction b.tween the keyhole weld pool and plasma arc after ***,in order to ob.ain the temperature field,flow field,and arc pressure of a plasma arc under the reaction of the keyhole,the physical model of a plasma arc with a pre-set keyhole was *** addition,the tungsten and b.se metal were estab.ished into the calculated domain,which can reflect the effect of plasma arc to weld pool *** on magneto hydrodynamics and Maxwell equations,a twoSdimensional steady state mathematical model was *** the heat production of anode and cathode,the distrib.tion of temperature field,flow field,welding current density,and plasma arc pressure were solved out b. the finite difference *** the calculated results,it is found that the plasma arc was compressed a second time b. the *** additional constraint results in an ob.ious rise of the plasma arc pressure and flow velocity at the minimum diameter place of the keyhole,while the temperature field is impacted ***,the ob.ervational and metallographic experiments are conducted,and the shapes of plasma arc and fusion line agree with the simulated results generally.
