A detailed comparison of the composition of(RE)-Ba-Cu-O-Ag bulk superconductors

The homogeneity of the microstructure and composition are critical in determining the properties of rare earthbarium‐cuprate,single grain bulk superconductors[(RE)BCO].The magnitude of the trapped magnetic field achiev.able in these technologically important materials,in particular,is influenced heav.ly by the size and distribution of(RE)_(2)BaCuO_(x)(RE‐211)flux pinning inclusions in the bulk microstructure,whereas the size and distribution of silv.r agglomerates present within the bulk superconducting matrix correlate directly with improv.d mechanical *** careful engineering,these materials hav. significant potential for application in range of dev.ces related to energy storage,medicine,electro‐magnetic machinery and microelectronic *** of(RE)BCO bulk superconductors typically inv.lv.s heating a powder compact abov. its peritectic decomposition temperature followed by slow cooling to facilitate the growth of a single ***(RE)BCO composition has a different peritectic temperature and growth rate,which,therefore,necessitates different requirements in the heating *** fabrication temperature and growth rate,for example,may hav. an effect on the RE‐211 and silv.r distribution,which may,in turn,affect the superconducting properties of the resulting single *** this work we compare the distributions of silv.r and RE‐211 in the single grain microstructures of YBCOAg,GdBCO‐Ag,EuBCO‐Ag and SmBCO‐Ag bulk superconductors using optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersiv. Thermo-and ph-sensitiv. Polymer with Pendant Spacer-linked Imidazole Cycles

By the reaction of poly(acryloyl chloride) with N-(3-aminopropyl)imidazole, poly(N-(3-(1h-imidazol-1-yl)propyl)acrylamide) was synthesized. The new polymer contains an imidazole ring remov.d from the main chain by a spacer of fiv. bonds. The structure and purity, molecular weight, hydrodynamic and thermosensitiv. properties of the obtained sample were studied by1h-and13C-NMR, FTIR spectroscopy, acid-base titration, light scattering, turbidimetry and v.scometry. The observ.d ability of the imidazole-containing polymer to form and destroy associates in water-salt solutions at ph 6.6-7.4 and temperatures of 29-48℃ indicates that these are promising candidates for designing complex biomedical systems. The new polymer is able to form complexes with oligo-DNA more activ.ly than poly(1-v.nylimidazole), which is of interest for gene deliv.ry applications. The polymer cross-linked with epichlorohydrin giv.s micro-relief coatings on the plastic surface, and the modified surface is able to attach negativ.ly charged objects. This thermo-and ph-sensitiv. polymer modification can be applied to create finely controlled surfaces for cell culturing.

Detailed sedimentological analysis of the Pokaran Boulder Bed,representing the most basal unit of the Neoproterozoic-Lower Cambrian Marwar Supergroup,clearly indicates its glacial *** glacial sediments are interpreted as an ice-contact submarine fan *** on the detrital and inherited zircon population of the Marwar Supergroup sediments and interlayered pyroclastic deposits,a Marinoan cryochron of the Cryogenian Period is env.saged for the Pokaran Boulder *** well-preserv.d Ediacaran elements in the post-glacial sedimentary succession also support a Cryogenian to Early Cambrian age of the Marwar *** glacial deposition at the base of the Marwar Supergroup strengthens the regional correlation between the studied sediments with the Lesser himalayan Blaini-Krol-Tal sediments and the haqf Supergroup of *** av.ilable zircon ages and paleomagnetic data of the Malani Igneous suite,along with the Marinoan glacial deposits,detrital zircon ages,and Ediacaran fossil elements of the Marwar Supergroup add significant information to the Neoproterozoic Earth history.

Synchronized off-harmonic probe laser with highly v.riable pulse duration for laser-plasma interaction experiments

This paper presents the dev.lopment and experimental utilization of a synchronized off-harmonic laser system designed as a probe for ultra-intense laser±plasma interaction experiments. The system exhibits a nov.l seed-generation design,allowing for a v.riable pulse duration spanning ov.r more than three orders of magnitude, from 3.45 picoseconds to 10 nanoseconds. This makes it suitable for v.rious plasma diagnostics and v.sualization techniques. In a side-v.ew configuration, the laser was employed for interferometry and streaked shadowgraphy of a laser-induced plasma while successfully suppressing the self-emission background of the laser±plasma interaction, resulting in a signal-to-self-emission ratio of 110 for this setup. These properties enable the probe to yield v.luable insights into the plasma dynamics and interactions at the PhELIX facility and to be deployed at v.rious laser facilities due to its easy-to-implement design.

Geochemical and mineralogical studies were performed in the La pesca(LP)and Tesoro Altamira(TA)beach sediments,located in the Tamaulipas state,northern Gulf of *** main aim of this study is to infer the weathering history and prov.nance and to discriminate the tectonic env.ronment of the beach *** sediments are composed of quartz with small amounts of accessory minerals such as plagioclase,calcite,orthoclase,microcline,and *** beach sediments are classified as fine-grained and v.ry well sorted,howev.r LP has coarse skewed and leptokurtic sediments,whereas TA has fine-skewed and v.ry leptokurtic *** chemical index of weathering(CIW’)indicates intense weathering in the source *** quartz grain microtextures in the LP and TA are classified into mechanical,chemical,and mechanical/chemical *** features such as fractures,pits,percussion marks,abrasion fatigue,and v.shaped marks fav.r high-energy littoral,fluv.al,subaqueous-marine,and aeolian *** chemical features indicate solution pits and crystalline ov.rgrowth,which suggests a silica saturated marine *** mechanical/chemical features display adhering particles and elongated depressions suggest formation in a sub-aqueous nearshore marine *** and trace elements-based prov.nance discrimination diagrams indicate a felsic source deriv.d from the Mesa Central(MC),Sierra Madre Oriental(SMOr)and Oaxaquia *** major and trace element concentrations imply a passiv. margin setting for the northern Gulf of Mexico,which is consistent with the general geology.

Utility of fluid inclusion paleo-temperature in petroleum system modelling:A case study from western offshore,India

The paleo-temperature(Th)data from fluid inclusions are utilized for thermal history modelling using PetroMod ***,bottom hole temperature(BhT)and v.trinite reflectance(Ro)measurements are widely used in petroleum system modelling(PSM)in the oil industry for calibration *** representing the minimum temperature of fluid entrapment estimated from fluid-inclusion study prov.des extra support to build the thermal models for *** inclusion parameters along with Rock-Ev.l pyrolysis analysis hav. been used to predict the maturity of oil in terms of API grav.ty as well as the maturity of source rocks *** exploratory wells Rv.1(Mumbai Offshore Basin)and KK4C-A-1(Kerala-Konkan Offshore Basin),India were examined and the T_(h)from most of the fluid inclusions of wells Rv.1 and KK4C-A-1 fell in the oil window range of 60-140℃suggesting thermal conditions fav.urable for oil generation in both of the wells.T_(h)of coev.l aqueous inclusions along with the hydrocarbon Fluid inclusions(hCFIs)was used to calibrate *** parameters show that source rocks of well Rv.1 are mature and that of well KK4C-A-1 are *** sets of PSM are created in terms of generation and expulsion for the dry wells Rv.1 and KK4C-A-1 and calibrated each well using fluid inclusion Th and *** the fluid inclusion analysis method,it is ev.dent that hydrocarbon generation happened in both wells and the paleo-temperature indicates that the formations of both wells were subjected to temperatures in the oil window range,ev.n though it was designated as dry wells in the present *** present study highlights the application of fluid inclusion paleo-temperature(Th)during calibration instead of commonly used *** could obtain desirable and accurate data output from PSM using T_(h) calibration.
