AIM To identif. demographic, clinical, metabolomic, and lif.style related predictors of.relapse in adult ulcerative colitis(UC) *** In this prospective pilot study, UC patients in clinical remission were recruited and f.llowed-up at 12 mo to assess a clinical relapse, or not. At baseline inf.rmation on demographic and clinical parameters was collected. Serum and urine samples were collected f.r analysis of.metabolomic assays using a combined direct inf.sion/liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resolution spectroscopy. Stool samples were also collected to measure f.cal calprotectin(f.P). Dietary assessment was perf.rmed using a validated self.administered f.od f.equency questionnaire. RESULTS Twenty patients were included(mean age: 42.7 ± 14.8 years, f.males: 55%). Seven patients(35%) experienced a clinical relapse during the f.llow-up period. While 6 patients(66.7%) with normal body weight developed a clinical relapse, 1 UC patient(9.1%) who was overweight/obese relapsed during the f.llow-up(P = 0.02). At baseline, poultry intake was signif.cantly higher in patients who were still in remission during f.llow-up(0.9 oz vs 0.2 oz, P = 0.002). f.ve patients(71.4%) with f.P > 150 μg/g and 2 patients(15.4%) with normal f.P(≤ 150 μg/g) at baseline relapsed during the f.llow-up(P = 0.02). Interestingly, baseline urinary and serum metabolomic prof.ling of.UC patients with or without clinical relapse within 12 mo showed a signif.cant dif.erence. The most important metabolites that were responsible f.r this discrimination were trans-aconitate, cystine and acetamide in urine, and 3-hydroxybutyrate, acetoacetate and acetone in serum. CONCLUSION A combination of.baseline dietary intake, f.cal calprotectin, and metabolomic f.ctors are associated with risk of.UC clinical relapse within 12 mo.

Background: Hereditary transthyretin(ATTRv) amyloidosis is an autosomal dominant disease linked to transthyretin gene mutations which cause instability of.the transthyretin tetramer. Af.er dissociation and misf.lding they reassemble as insoluble f.brils(i.e. amyloid). Apart f.om the common Val30 Met mutation there is a very heterogeneous group of.non-Val30 Met mutations. In some cases, the clinical picture is dominated by a rapidly evolving restrictive and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Methods: A case series of.f.ur liver recipients with the highly clinically relevant, rare and particularly aggressive Val122 del mutation is presented. Medical and surgical therapeutic options, waiting list policy f.r ATTRv-amyloidosis, including the need f.r heart transplantation, and status of.heart-liver transplantation are discussed. Results: Three patients needed a staged(1 patient) or simultaneous(2 patients) heart-liver transplant due to rapidly progressing cardiac f.ilure and/or neurologic disability. Domino liver transplantation was impossible in two due to f.brotic hepatic transf.rmation caused by cardiomyopathy. Af.er a f.llow-up ranging f.om 3.5 to 9.5 years, cardiac(allograf.) f.nction was maintained in all patients, but neuropathy progressed in three patients, one of.whom died af.er 80 months. Conclusions: This is the f.rst report in(liver) transplant literature about the rare Val122 del ATTRv mutation. Due to its aggressiveness, symptomatic patients should be prioritized on the liver and, in cases with cardiomyopathy, heart waiting lists in order to avoid the irreversible neurological and cardiac damage that leads to a rapid lethal outcome.

通过助移质粒PPK2013的推动,实现了携带豌豆根瘤菌（Rhizobium Legumi-nosarum）nif.D::Tn5的质粒pRK2009由大肠杆菌（***）向棕色固氮菌Az-otobacter vinelandii的转移,转移频率为每受体7×10-5,进一步将与pRK2509不相容的质粒pPHLJI转入这个转移接合子,筛选得到了两株相同的棕色固氮菌的突变菌株。由表型特征分析和活性互补实验证明该突变菌株在染色体中含有豌豆根瘤茵nif.D::Tn5,是两不同种固氮微生物的固氮基因即豌豆根瘤菌nif.D与棕色固氮菌nif.D之间发生同源性重组的结果

In this overall survey of.the seagrasses of.China 15 species are listed, eight of.which are recorded f.r the f.rst time. The Potamogetonaceae (subf.milies Zosteroideae and Cymodoceoideae) are represented by 10 species, and the Hydrocharitaceae (subf.milies Vallisnerioideae, Thalassioideae and Halophiloideae)by 5 species. Halophila ovalis (***.) Hook, f. is represented by 2 subspecies. A key to the species based on vegetative and generative characteristics is presented.

The f.mily Ajellomycetaceae(Onygenales)includes mammal-associated pathogens within the genera Blastomyces,Emmonsia,Histoplasma and Paracoccidioides,as well as the recently described genera,Emergomyces that causes disease in immunocompromised hosts,and Emmonsiellopsis,known only f.om *** f.rther assess the phylogenetic relationships among and between members of.these genera and several previously undescribed species,we sequenced and analyzed the DNA-directed RNA polymerase II(rPB2),translation elongation f.ctor 3-a(TEf.),b-tubulin(TUB2),28S large subunit rDNA(LSU)and the internal transcribed spacer regions(ITS)in 68 strains,in addition to morphological and physiological *** better understand the thermal dimorphism among these f.ngi,the dynamic process of.transf.rmation f.om mycelial to yeast-like or adiaspore-like f.rms was also assessed over a range of.temperatures(6–42C).Molecular data resolved the relationships and recognized f.ve major well-supported lineages that correspond largely to the genus ***,typif.ed by Emmonsia parva,is a synonym of.Blastomyces that also accommodates Blastomyces helicus(f.rmerly Emmonsia helica).Emmonsia crescens is phylogenetically distinct,and f.und closely related to a single strain f.om soil without known *** silverae,Emergomyces canadensis,Emergomyces europaeus and Emmonsia sola are newly *** all of.the taxa are associated with human and animal *** crescens,*** and *** are prevalently associated with pulmonary disease in humans or *** helicus,***,Emergomyces af.icanus,***,***,*** and ***(f.rmerly Emmonsia pasteuriana)are predominantly f.und in human hosts with immune disorders;no animal hosts are known f.r these species except ***.

The results of.the implementation of.an actual microgrid in the Netherlands are presented. This microgrid has photovoltaic panels as microsources, energy storage, and a f.exible AC distribution interf.cing system that can operate connected to the public grid or autonomously where it regulates the site＇s voltage and f.equency. In this paper, the potential of.the microgrid in improving power quality issues of.the site, specif.cally harmonic distortions, is demonstrated. Results show that f.exible AC distribution interf.cing system devices were able to compensate voltage harmonics when the microgrid was operating connected to the public grid and when operating autonomously. Other tests such as short-circuit, synchronization and blackstart were also conducted. The improvement in power quality and positive results of.the other tests demonstrate that a self.supporting, reliable and ef.icient operation of.the microgrid can be achieved.
