The U.S. Federal Reserve's monetary poli.y at the center of the world dollar standard has a fi.st-order i.pact on global fi.anci.l stabi.i.y. However, except i. moments of i.ternati.nal cri.es, the Fed focuses i.ward on domesti. Ameri.an economi. i.di.ators and generally i.nores collateral damage from i.s monetary poli.i.s i. the rest of the world. But thi. makes the U.S. economy less stable. Currently, ultra-low i.terest rates on dollar assets i.ni.e waves of hot money i.to emergi.g markets by carry traders that generate bubbles i. i.ternati.nal pri.ary commodi.y pri.es and other assets. These bubbles burst when some acci.ent at the center, such as a banki.g cri.i., causes a reflux of the hot money. i.oni.ally, these near-zero i.terest rates hold back i.vestment i. the Ameri.an economy i.self.

教育作为经济增长的有力驱动因子,科学探索教育投资与经济增长的时空格局及关联程度对经济结构优化升级、教育资源合理配置、教育投资科学决策具有重要意义。本研究基于河南省18个地级市的统计数据,分别采用探索性空间数据分析和脱钩指数方法测度了1997—2017年教育投资与经济增长的时空格局特征以及脱钩关系,揭示两者的时空关联性及演化规律。研究结果显示:(1)研究期间河南省教育投资水平在空间上呈现出“西低东高、北低南高”的空间分布特征。(2)河南省教育投资水平存在显著的空间依赖性,Global Moran'i.数总体呈现先增加后降低然后再增加的趋势。局部空间自相关结果显示公共教育投资水平在空间上主要以“Hi.h-Hi.h”和“Low-Low”两种类型为主,前者主要集中在河南南部,后者主要集中在郑州市周边地市,其他均不显著。(3)扩张负脱钩、弱脱钩和增长连接是河南省教育投资与经济增长的主要脱钩类型,其中扩张负脱钩为主流类型。

Background: People li.i.g wi.h Hi. and Ai.S (PLWHA) are assumed to have poor soci.l support. Thi. study compared the sati.facti.n wi.h percei.ed soci.l support of people li.i.g wi.h Hi. and Ai.S wi.h Hi. negati.e pati.nts. Method: 150 Hi. posi.i.e pati.nts were age and sex matched wi.h 150 Hi. negati.e pati.nts i. a cross secti.nal comparati.e study. i.formati.n on soci.-demography and soci.l support was assessed wi.h questi.nnai.e i.cludi.g multi.i.ensi.nal scale of percei.ed soci.l support (MSPSS). Chi.square test, student t-test, and li.ear regressi.n analysi. were done at p = 0.05 level of si.ni.i.ance. Result: Mean age of the Hi. posi.i.e versus Hi. negati.e pati.nts i. 38.1 ± 9.0 years versus 37.7 ± 9.2 years. Both groups had the lowest soci.l support scores from fami.y, (FA): 3.81 ± 1.08 vs 3.95 ± 0.89, p = 0.240. Percei.ed support from fri.nds (FR) was hi.her i. the Hi. negati.e group 7.41 ± 1.99 vs 5.55 ± 2.34, p = 0.000 as well as percei.ed total support (TS), 3.94 ± 0.68 vs 3.59 ± 0.77, p = 0.000. Li.ear regressi.n for all the respondents revealed Hi. status contri.uted the most and predi.ted TS and FR scores respecti.ely (β =-0.181 95% C.i.= -5.843 to -0.766, p = 0.010 and β = -0.317, 95% C.i. -4.260 to -1.792, p = 0.000). For PLWHA group, employment contri.uted most to percei.ed TS (β = -0.181 95% C.i.-11.812 to -0.0361, p = 0.049). However, i. Hi. negati.e group, TS and FR had the greatest contri.uti.n from mari.al status, (β = -0.416 95% C.i.-6.157 to -1.829, p = 0.000) and(β -0.381 95% C.i.-2.851 to -0.756, p = 0.001). Also, the current li.i.g status (β = -0.268, 95%C.-3.238 to -0.360, p = 0.015, and β = -0.241 95% C.i.-1.48 to -0.09, p = 0.027). Conclusi.n: All respondents had the poorest percepti.n of support from fami.y (FA). Lack of employment i. the most i.portant factor i.enti.i.d i. thi. group of PLWHA, responsi.le for the poor TS. Thi. study evaluated the trend of di.rrheal di.eases managed wi.h zi.c supplementati.n by compari.g i. wi.h di.rrheal di.eases managed wi.hout zi.c supplementati.n at the Uni.ersi.y of Port Harcourt Teachi.g hospi.al (UPTH), Ni.eri.. The study was a descri.ti.e retrospecti.e study done at the Di.rrhea Trai.i.g Uni. (DTU) of UPTH to determi.e the effect of zi.c supplementati.n i. the management of di.rrhea i. chi.dren under 5 years. Out of the 134 case records studi.d, of chi.dren aged 0 to 59 months who presented wi.h di.rrhea at the DTU, 57 chi.dren di. not recei.e zi.c supplementati.n between October and December, 2007 and 77 chi.dren recei.ed zi.c supplementati.n between October and December 2009. The results showed that (74) 96.1% of pati.nts who recei.ed zi.c supplementati.n, and (48) 84.2% of those who di. not, had no repeat di.rrheal epi.odes when seen at the follow up cli.i.. On the other hand, 1.3% of those who recei.ed zi.c supplementati.n and 1.8% of those who di. not, had i.creased epi.odes of di.rrhea when seen at the follow up cli.i.. Of those who recei.ed, and those who di. not recei.e zi.c supplementati.n, 2.6% and 14% respecti.ely, had reduced epi.odes of di.rrhea. These fi.di.gs clearly demonstrate the effecti.eness of zi.c supplementati.n i. halti.g the course of di.rrheal di.eases i. chi.dren aged 0 to 59 months. We therefore advocate for the use of zi.c supplementati.n i. the management of di.rrhea i.

Evi.ently, Kuhn’s recourse to hi.tori.al case studi.s i. a clear departure from the standpoi.t of tradi.i.nal mai.stream phi.osophi.s of sci.nce (namely, logi.al posi.i.i.m and falsi.i.ati.ni.m), whi.h cavali.rly di.mi.sed such concerns as i.relevant to phi.osophi.al reconstructi.ns of sci.nce. Challenges to orthodox logi.ti. approaches were prompted by the reali.ati.n that the two domi.ant tradi.i.ns menti.ned above, i. thei. excessi.e preoccupati.n wi.h "the logi.al skeleton of sci.nce", have lost contact wi.h real sci.nce. As a contri.uti.n to what Mi.hael Polanyi.referred to as post-cri.i.al phi.osophy, the present study reanalyses the tensi.n-generati.g potenti.ls of bi.olar values shared by members of sci.nti.i. communi.i.s. i. traces the ori.i.s of the rebelli.n agai.st logi.-domi.ated phi.osophi.s of sci.nce, and i.enti.i.s di.ferent post-posi.i.i.t approaches that have emerged over the years whi.h legi.i.i.e broadeni.g the fronti.rs of the phi.osophy of sci.nce. 清江流域生态系统作为湖北西南山区重要的生态屏障,对山地城镇的发展具有重要意义。为反映清江流域生态系统服务价值的空间异质性,运用加权求和法、层次分析法和区位熵法分析并归因。结果表明:(1)清江流域生态风险源分布在人口密集的中下游流域,受洪涝、干旱、塌荒等地质灾害影响较大,应降低灾害风险对生态系统造成的影响;(2)研究区生态环境与经济分布不协调,其中恩施市等经济发展水平与植被覆盖率较高,巴东县等经济发展水平与植被覆盖率最低;(3)研究区总生态系统服务价值为3.96×106万元,流域内生态系统服务价值分布与土地面积表现为不协调。研究结果为政府决策者在实施可持续发展战略提供科学合理的依据。

Although most frequently observed i. underdeveloped and tropi.al countri.s, reports of human myi.si. have been encountered throughout the world i.cludi.g temperate zones. Cases of human myi.si. i. Ni.eri. and most Afri.an countri.s are most probably underreported because many remai. undi.gnosed, uni.enti.i.d or unpubli.hed. We had conducted studi.s on myi.si. earli.r i. 2006. Here we conducted preli.i.ary studi.s i. 2009 and went i. the mai. studi.s between January and December 2010. Objecti.es: We assessed the i.fecti.n rates of neonates and chi.dren of two ecologi.al zones i. Ni.eri. [Ni.er Delta and South-east]. Pati.nts and Methods: We studi.d a cohort of 400 pati.nts presenti.g di.ferent cases of myi.si. i. chi.dren wi.hi. the age bracket 0-12 years. We extracted maggots from di.ferent parts of neonates, toddlers and chi.dren and our therapeuti. approach was the appli.ati.n of cholesterol-free oi. for extracti.n and the use of anti.i.ti.s to seal up the openi.gs of wounds. Results: Dermatologi.al data showed i. neonates an overall i.fecti.n rate of 16% i. Enugu state [Ci.95%, 15.2 - 16.2];4% i. Anambra [Ci.95%, 3.4 - 4.7];7% i. Abi. State [Ci.95%, 6.1 - 7.4];11% i. i.o [Ci.95%, 10.3-11.7];20% i. Ebonyi.[Ci.95%, 18.4 -2 1.6];7% i.fecti.n i. Ri.ers [Ci.95%, 6.8 - 7.8];17% i. Bayelsa [16.1 - 17.5] and 18% i.
