Fruit Set in Orange with Phytohormones and Its Relation to Endogenous Levels of GA3

This research work aims to contribute in increasing the fruit set in citrus, given its importance in determining fruit yield. The authors evaluated the effects of phytohormones (auxins, gibberellins and cytokinins) in the mooring and features of orange fruit in cultivars Washington navel and Thomson (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osb.). The experiment was established in a split plot randomized complete block design with five treatments and four replications. Flower tissue samples were stored in liquid N until the extraction of gibberellins and the identification and quantification of GA3. The results showed statistically significant difference (P ≤ 0.05) between treatments in the number of fruits retained 129 d after flowering and the percentage of final tie. GA3 content ranged, on a dry weight basis, from 1.66 mg?g-1 in the control to 20.79 mg·g-1 in the high dose. The mean dose (32.2 mg·L-1 auxins, gibberellins 32.2 mg·L-1 and 83.2 mg·L-1 cytokinins) caused the largest increase in fruit set.

during the last 10 years, a lot of interests have been devoted to the so-called CdC (colossal dielectric constant) materials. The first materials exhibiting this behavior were the perovskite-based ceramics on the CCTO (CaCu3Ti4O12) composition. Relative dielectric permittivity can attain values up to (or even larger than) 105. Nevertheless, their dielectric losses are too high, the lower values ranging 10%, in a narrow frequency range, thus limiting their applications. The underlying physical mechanisms at the origin of the CdC are still under study. The analysis of broadband impedance spectroscopy measurements leads most of the authors to propose an interfacial polarization mechanism (at the electrodes or at internal barriers), there is a limited number of complementary electrical characterization techniques, which, up to now, comfort the proposed interfacial polarization mechanisms. In the present work, I-V and time-domain polarization are used to characterize these materials. One of the main results is the observation of a non-symmetrical response of these materials related to the direction of the polarization. These results are observed for both macroscopic level on bulk polycrystalline material and within individual grains of the same samples. These results do not fit current accepted models for polarization for CdC materials.

Previous studies have proposed that both the thermospheric neutral wind and the equatorial electrojet(EEJ)near sunset play important roles in the pre-reversal enhancement(PRE)*** this study,we have used observations made in the equatorial region of Southeast Asia during March–April and September–October in 2010–2013 to investigate influences of the eastward neutral wind and the EEJ on the PRE’s *** analysis employs data collected by the Gravity Field and Steady-State Ocean Circulation Explorer(GOCE)satellite to determine the zonal(east-west direction)neutral wind at an altitude of~250 km(bottomside F region)at longitudes of 90°–130°E in the dusk *** ionosondes,at Chumphon(dip lat.:3.0°N)in Thailand,at Bac Lieu(dip lat.:1.7°N)in Vietnam,and at Cebu(dip lat.:3.0°N)in Philippines,provided the data we have used to derive the PRE *** from two magnetometers—at Phuket(dip lat.:0.1°S)in Thailand and at Kototabang(dip lat.:10.3°S)in Indonesia—were used to estimate the EEJ *** study is focused particularly on days with magnetically quiet *** have found that the eastward neutral wind and the EEJ are both closely correlated with the PRE;their cross-correlation coefficients with it are,respectively,0.42 and *** relationship with each other is weaker:the cross-correlation coefficient between the eastward neutral wind and the EEJ is just *** findings suggest that both the eastward neutral wind and the EEJ near sunset are involved in the PRE *** on the weak relationship between these two parameters,however,they appear to be significantly independent of each ***,the wind and the EEJ are likely to be influencing the PRE magnitude independently,their effects balancing each other.

We report a case of a 7-year-old child who required emergency surgery for ac ute abdomen and suspected acute appendicitis. during surgery a tumor located in the small bowel that caused intestinal occlusion was found. Histopathologic anal ysis showed a solitary gastrointestinal myofibroma. This is a very rare tumor, e specially as a single lesion, because in world literature, there are less than 1 0 cases reported.

Purpose To complement and ensure redundancy in the endcap muon system of the Compact Muon Solenoid(CMS)detector and to extend the Resistive Plate Chamber(RPC)system coverage,improved RPCs(iRPCs)with either orthogonal layer strips with one-end electronics or single layer strips with two-end electronics providing more precise time measurement will be installed in the very forward pseudorapidity region of|η|dout system needs to support twodimensional(2d)or two-end *** addition,it must combine detector data with Timing,Trigger and fast Control(TTC)and Slow Control(SC)into one data stream over a bi-directional optical link with a line rate of 4.8 Gb/s between the Front-End Electronics(FEE)and the Back-End Electronics(BEE).To fulfill these requirements,a prototype BEE for the iRPC 2d chamber has been researched and *** A Micro-Telecommunication and Computing Architecture(μTCA)-based processing card was designed in this study to establish a prototype system together with aμTCA *** Giga-Bit Transceiver(GBT)protocol is integrated to provide bi-directional communication between the FEE and BEE.A server is connected with the BEE by a Gigabit Ethernet(GbE)link for SC and a 10-GbE link for data AcQuisition(dAQ).Results The Bit Error Rate(BER)test of the back-end board and a joint test with the iRPC 2d prototype chamber were *** less than 1.331×10−16 was *** timemeasurement with a resolution of 3.05 nswas successfully realized,and detector efficiencies of 97.7%for longitudinal strips and 96.0%for orthogonal strips were *** results demonstrate the correctness and reliability of the prototype *** The BEE prototype satisfies the requirements for the iRPC 2d chamber,and it worked stably and reliably during a long-term joint test run.
