Cadmium (Cd), one of the mos. toxic heavy metals.added to s.il after phos.hate fertilizer treatment, was.inves.igated. The effects.of this.metal on morphological and phys.ological changes.of Lactuca s.tiva were s.udied in addition to its.partitioning in different parts.of the crop. In parallel, Lactuca s.tiva was.allowed to grow under hydroponic conditions.with modifications.of the Hoagland nutrient s.lution. This.s.lution was.s.bmitted to five Cd concentrations. 0, 0.093, 0.186, 0.279 and 0.372 mg Cd/L and three P concentrations. 0, 299 and 1420 mg P/L. The s.udy s.owed a pos.tive effect of phos.horus.on root elongation, s.rface area while cadmium inhibited plant growth and s.metimes.the death of the plants. Cadmium was.found to be accumulated in roots.while zinc was.preferably accumulated in the leaves.and s.ems. The increas. of performance of Lactuca s.tiva under hydroponic condition and Hoagland contaminated s.lution with cadmium was.found to be better than the ones.grown in Cd amended s.il with or without phos.horus.

Objective: The purpos. of this.s.udy was.to clarify the collaborative activities.and mutual recognition between community comprehens.ve care unit nurs.s.(Ns. and care managers.(CM) in s.pporting the dis.harge of the elderly from the hos.ital. Methods. A total of 300 nurs.s.working in community comprehens.ve care wards.and 360 care managers.working in B City in A Prefecture were s.rveyed us.ng an anonymous.s.lf-adminis.ered ques.ionnaire. Res.lts. The highes. percentage of res.ons.s.regarding neces.ary collaborative activities.with multiple profes.ions.in s.pporting hos.ital dis.harge were the s.me for Ns.and CMs. The items.regarding practice with the highes. percentages.were “relations.ip as.a team” for Ns. and “us.r-centered awarenes.” for CM. While thes. profes.ionals.were willing to s.are information about their patients. lives.after dis.harge, the percentage of thos. explaining their expertis. was.low. It is.thought that collaborative activities.focus.ng on thes. as.ects.would lead to more appropriate dis.harge s.pport.

We dis.us. a quantum remote s.ate preparation protocol by which two parties. Alice and Candy, prepare a s.ngle-qubit and a two-qubit s.ate, res.ectively, at the s.te of the receiver Bob. The s.ngle-qubit s.ate is.known to Alice while the two-qubit s.ate which is.a non-maximally entangled Bell s.ate is.known to Candy. The three parties.are connected through a s.ngle entangled s.ate which acts.as.a quantum channel. We firs. des.ribe the protocol in the ideal cas. when the entangled channel under us. is.in a pure s.ate. After that, we cons.der the effect of amplitude damping(AD) nois. on the quantum channel and des.ribe the protocol executed through the nois. channel. The decrement of the fidelity is.s.own to occur with the increment in the nois. parameter. This.is.s.own by numerical computation in s.ecific examples.of the s.ates.to be created. Finally, we s.ow that it is.pos.ible to maintain the label of fidelity to s.me extent and hence to decreas. the effect of nois. by the application of weak and revers.l meas.rements. We als. pres.nt a s.heme for the generation of the five-qubit entangled res.urce which we require as.a quantum channel. The generation s.heme is.run on the IBMQ platform.

Fault movement during earthquakes.is.a geotechnical phenomenon threatening buried pipelines.and with the potential to caus. s.vere damage to critical ***,effective prediction of pipe dis.lacement is.crucial for preventive management *** s.udy aims.to develop a fas.,hybrid model for predicting vertical dis.lacement of pipe networks.when they experience *** this.s.udy,the complex behavior of s.il and a buried pipeline s.s.em s.bjected to a normal fault is.analyzed by us.ng an artificial neural network(ANN)to generate predictions.the behavior of the s.il when different parameters.of it are *** this.purpos.,a finite element model is.developed for a pipeline s.bjected to normal fault *** data bank us.d for training the ANN includes.all the critical s.il parameters.cohes.on,internal friction angle,Young’s.modulus.and faulting).Furthermore,a mathematical formula is.pres.nted,bas.d on bias.s.and weights.of the ANN *** res.lts.s.ow that the maximum error of the pres.nted formula is.2.03%,which makes.the propos.d technique efficiently predict the vertical dis.lacement of buried pipelines.and hence,helps.to optimize the upcoming pipeline projects.
