BACKGROUND The association between the intestinal microbiota and psychiatric disorders is becoming increasingly *** gut microbiota contributes to colorectal carcinogenesis(CRC),as demonstrated with colibactin-producing Escherichia coli(CoPEC).AiM To evaluate the association between CoPEC prevalence and anxiety-and depressive-like behaviors with both preclinical and clinical *** Patients followed after a CRC surgery and for whom the prevalence of CoPEC has been investigated underwent a psychiatric *** were compared according to the CoPEC *** parallel C57BL6/J wild type mice and mice with a CRC susceptibility were chronically infected with a CoPEC *** behavior was assessed using the Elevated Plus Maze test,the Forced Swimming Test and the Behavior recognition system PhenoTyper®.RESULTS in a limited cohort,all patients with CoPEC colonization presented with psychiatric disorders several years before cancer diagnosis,whereas only one patient(17%)without CoPEC *** result was confirmed in C57BL6/J wildtype mice and in a CRC susceptibility mouse model(adenomatous polyposis colimultiple intestinal neoplasia/+).Mice exhibited a significant increase in anxiety-and depressive-like behaviors after chronic infection with a CoPEC *** This finding provides the first evidence that CoPEC infection can induce microbiota-gut-brain axis disturbances in addition to its procarcinogenic properties.

Understanding the neural underpinning of human gait and balance is one of the most pertinent challenges for 21st-century translational neuroscience due to the profound impact that falls and mobility disturbances have on our aging *** and gait control does not happen automatically,as previously believed,but rather requires continuous involvement of central nervous *** effectively exert control over the body,the brain must integrate multiple streams of sensory information,including visual,vestibular,and somatosensory *** mechanisms which underpin the integration of these multisensory signals are the principal topic of the present *** multisensory integration theories focus on how failure of cognitive processes thought to be involved in multisensory integration leads to falls in older *** emphasis,however,has been placed on specific contributions of individual sensory modalities to multisensory integration processes and cross-modal interactions that occur between the sensory modalities in relation to gait and *** the present work,we review the contributions of somatosensory,visual,and vestibular modalities,along with their multisensory intersections to gait and balance in older adults and patients with Parkinson’s *** also review evidence of vestibular contributions to multisensory temporal binding windows,previously shown to be highly pertinent to fall risk in older ***,we relate multisensory vestibular mechanisms to potential neural substrates,both at the level of neurobiology(concerning positron emission tomography imaging)and at the level of electrophysiology(concerning electroencephalography).We hope that this integrative review,drawing influence across multiple subdisciplines of neuroscience,paves the way for novel research directions and therapeutic neuromodulatory approaches,to improve the lives of older adults and patients with neurodegenerative diseases.

Real-time Volume Preserving Constraints for Volumetric Model on GPU

This paper presents a parallel method for simulating real-time 3D deformable objects using the volume preservation mass-spring system method on tetrahedron *** general,the conventional mass-spring system is manipulated as a force-driven method because it is fast,simple to implement,and the parameters can be ***,the springs in traditional mass-spring system can be excessively elongated which cause severe stability and robustness issues that lead to shape restoring,simulation blow-up,and huge volume loss of the deformable *** addition,traditional method that uses a serial process of the central processing unit(CPU)to solve the system in every frame cannot handle the complex structure of deformable object in ***,the first order implicit constraint enforcement for a mass-spring model is utilized to achieve accurate visual realism of deformable objects with tough constraint *** this paper,we applied the distance constraint and volume conservation constraints for each tetrahedron element to improve the stability of deformable object simulation using the mass-spring system and behave the same as its real-world *** reduce the computational complexity while ensuring stable simulation,we applied a method that utilizes OpenGL compute shader,a part of OpenGL Shading Language(GLSL)that executes on the graphic processing unit(GPU)to solve the numerical problems *** applied the proposed methods to experimental volumetric models,and volume percentages of all objects are *** average volume percentages of all models during the simulation using the mass-spring system,distance constraint,and the volume constraint method were 68.21%,89.64%,and 98.70%,*** proposed approaches are successfully applied to improve the stability of mass-spring system and the performance comparison from our experimental tests also shows that the GPU-based method is faster than CPU-based implementation for all cases.

Parallel Cloth Simulation Using OpenGL Shading Language

The primary goal of cloth simulation is to express object behavior in a realistic manner and achieve real-time performance by following the fundamental concept of *** general,the mass–spring system is applied to real-time cloth simulation with three types of ***,hard spring cloth simulation using the mass–spring system requires a small integration time-step in order to use a large stiffness ***,to obtain stable behavior,constraint enforcement is used instead of maintenance of the force of each *** force computation involves a large sparse linear solving *** to the large computation,we implement a cloth simulation using adaptive constraint activation and deactivation techniques that involve the mass-spring system and constraint enforcement method to prevent excessive elongation of *** the same time,when the length of the spring is stretched or compressed over a defined threshold,adaptive constraint activation and deactivation method deactivates the spring and generate the implicit *** method that uses a serial process of the Central Processing Unit(CPU)to solve the system in every frame cannot handle the complex structure of cloth model in *** simulation utilizes the Graphic Processing Unit(GPU)parallel processing with compute shader in OpenGL Shading Language(GLSL)to solve the system *** this paper,we design and implement parallel method for cloth simulation,and experiment on the performance and behavior comparison of the mass-spring system,constraint enforcement,and adaptive constraint activation and deactivation techniques the using GPU-based parallel method.

20世纪90年代以来,中国经济一直保持快速增长。在过去长达20多年的时间里,中国经济持续保持了年均9%以上的增长速度,成为世界上经济持续增长最快的国家之一。经济的快速增长同时促进了Eva产能和消费量的增长,21世纪以来,光伏产业受清洁能源扶植政策的大力推动而在全世界发展迅速,2017年国内光伏市场持续爆发,前三季度全国新增光伏发电装机超过43×10^(6)kW,累计超过1.2×10^(8)kW,作为光伏行业太阳能电池的重要功能性膜材料,28%va含量的Eva(光伏料)产品市场非常可观,由于光伏市场的需求持续增加,促进国内新建多套Eva生产装置,仅2021年一年国内开工6套新Eva装置,新增Eva产量为130万t/a。新建的Eva装置中的核心设备二次压缩机大多采用国外某公司产品,在装置实际运行中二次机的长周期运转成为装置长周期运行中设备方面的制约条件,其中二次机常见问题为二次机柱塞跳动联锁停机,就是针对二次机柱塞跳动问题进行分析并做相关处理方案,减少二次机联锁停机次数,避免因二次机联锁造成装置的停工次数。

为评估海洋、盐湖等环境中钢筋混凝土结构耐久性,通过试验与理论相结合探究氯盐与硫酸盐复合侵蚀下钢筋混凝土锈裂特性。通电腐蚀5%(质量分数)NaCl、5%NaCl+5%Na_(2)SO_(4)溶液中钢筋混凝土试件,对比分析混凝土表观形貌、钢筋锈蚀特征。设计伴随的混凝土腐蚀试验,类比保护层腐蚀劣化,分析混凝土力学性能。结果表明:硫酸盐的存在改变胀裂前混凝土形貌,使得单一氯盐侵蚀下的“白须”消失,表面粉化并出现盐结晶,延长胀裂时间;复合侵蚀下钢筋锈蚀率低于单一氯盐侵蚀,二者均显著低于法拉第定律理论值;锈胀裂缝宽度与钢筋锈蚀率线性相关,硫酸盐的存在增大裂缝随钢筋锈蚀发展的速率;通电环境中,受腐蚀混凝土的抗压强度先升高后降低,劈裂抗拉强度不断降低。提出受腐蚀混凝土的抗拉强度演化经验公式。在经典锈胀模型的基础上考虑锈蚀产物对裂缝的填充作用,并将硫酸盐的影响考虑至混凝土抗拉强度、钢筋腐蚀电流密度中,建立复合侵蚀下钢筋混凝土胀裂时间预测模型,并验证了模型的有效性。

目的探讨体外循环(CPB)手术停机困难转静脉-动脉体外膜肺氧合(va-ECMO)的建立方法、配合要点及术后安全转运管理策略。方法采用观察性研究方法,选择2020年1月至2022年10月皖南医学院第一附属医院(弋矶山医院)重症医学科收治的无法脱离CPB而应用va-ECMO辅助的CPB手术患者。记录患者的临床资料,包括患者的基本资料、va-ECMO建立及转运过程资料、va-ECMO上机前后临床指标、va-ECMO运行资料及临床结局,从体外膜肺氧合(ECMO)建立、转运过程、团队配合、转运过程中不良事件等方面进行经验总结,并比较ECMO上机前后临床指标;根据是否成功撤离ECMO分为撤机成功组与失败组,比较两组患者临床资料。结果最终共纳入18例CPB转va-ECMO辅助患者,其中男性10例,女性8例;年龄(56.7±12.3)岁;术前左室射血分数(LVEF)0.46±0.10;转va-ECMO辅助的主要原因包括右心室收缩乏力6例,全心收缩乏力5例,左心室收缩乏力4例,肺动脉高压2例,顽固性心室纤颤1例;18例CPB转va-ECMO辅助患者成功撤机10例,失败8例;iCU内存活8例,死亡5例,放弃治疗出院5例;CPB转va-ECMO成功建立时间(24.6±7.4)min,初始血流量(3.3±0.4)L/min,转运时间(8.4±1.5)min,ECMO辅助时间(82.0±69.3)h;ECMO建立及转运过程中有9例患者发生不同分级不良事件。与CPB转va-ECMO上机前相比,患者上机4 h血乳酸(Lac)、pH值、平均动脉压(MAP)、中心静脉血氧饱和度(ScvO_(2))均得到显著改善〔Lac(mmol/L):10.5±7.0比15.2±6.8,pH值:7.38±0.92比7.26±0.87,MAP(mmHg,1 mmHg≈0.133 kPa):74.9±13.7比58.4±17.0,ScvO_(2):0.678±0.065比0.611±0.061,均PiS)亦显著降低(分:39.8±29.8比68.9±64.4,Pin:238.0(208.8,351.2)比200.0(185.8,217.0),PiS评分及ECMO初始血流量和建立时间差异均无统计学意义。结论va-ECMO是CPB手术患者术中无法脱机的有效循环辅助手段,CPB"桥"对ECMO辅助的建立及转运依托于多学科团队协作(MDT);ECMO撤机成功率与Lac、CPB时间有关,若无法顺利脱离CPB,则应及早启动va-ECMO。

Analyzing Changes in Maize Leaves Orientation due to GxExM Using an Automatic Method from RGB images

The sowing pattern has an important impact on light interception efficiency in maize by determining the spatial distribution of leaves within the *** orientation is an important architectural trait determining maize canopies light *** studies have indicated how maize genotypes may adapt leaves orientation to avoid mutual shading with neighboring plants as a plastic response to intraspecific *** goal of the present study is 2-fold:firstly,to propose and validate an automatic algorithm(Automatic Leaf Azimuth Estimation from Midrib detection[ALAEM])based on leaves midrib detection in vertical red green blue(RGB)images to describe leaves orientation at the canopy level;and secondly,to describe genotypic and environmental differences in leaves orientation in a panel of 5 maize hybrids sowing at 2 densities(6 and 12 plants.m^(−2))and 2 row spacing(0.4 and 0.8 m)over 2 different sites in southern *** ALAEM algorithm was validated against in situ annotations of leaves orientation,showing a satisfactory agreement(root mean square[RMSE]error=0.1,R^(2)=0.35)in the proportion of leaves oriented perpendicular to rows direction across sowing patterns,genotypes,and *** results from ALAEM permitted to identify significant differences in leaves orientation associated to leaves intraspecific *** both experiments,a progressive increase in the proportion of leaves oriented perpendicular to the row is observed when the rectangularity of the sowing pattern increases from 1(6 plants.m^(−2),0.4 m row spacing)towards 8(12 plants.m^(−2),0.8 m row spacing).Significant differences among the 5 cultivars were found,with 2 hybrids exhibiting,systematically,a more plastic behavior with a significantly higher proportion of leaves oriented perpendicularly to avoid overlapping with neighbor plants at high *** in leaves orientation were also found between experiments in a squared sowing pattern(6 plants.m^(−2),0.4 m

The aim of this paper is to describe and analyse the behaviour of heart rate variability(HRV)during constant-load,high-intensity exercise using a time frequency analysis(Wavelet Transform).Eleven elite cyclists took part in the study(age:18.6±3.0 years;VO_(2max):4.88±0.61 litres·min^(-1)).initially,all subjects performed an incremental cycloergometer test to determine load power in a constant load-test(379.55±36.02 W;89.0%).HRV declined dramatically from the start of testing(piour of power spectral density within the LF band mirrored that of total energy,recording a significant decrease from the outset LF peaks fell rapidly thereafter,remaining stable until the end of the ***-VHF fell sharply in the first 20 to 30 *** relative weighting(%) of HF-VHF was inverted with the onset of fatigue,[1.6%at the start,7.1(pirst phase,and 43.1%(pisplayed three phases:a moderate initial increase,followed by a slight fall,thereafter increasing to the end of the *** LF/HF-VHF ratio increased at the start,later falling progressively until the end of the first phase and remaining around minimal values until the end of the test.

Default or profit scoring credit systems?Evidence from European and US peer-to-peer lending markets

For the emerging peer-to-peer(P2P)lending markets to survive,they need to employ credit-risk management practices such that an investor base is profitable in the long ***,credit-risk management relies on credit scoring that predicts loans’probability of *** this paper,we use a profit scoring approach that is based on modeling the annualized adjusted internal rate of returns of *** validate our profit scoring models with traditional credit scoring models,we use data from a European P2P lending market,Bondora,and also a random sample of loans from the Lending Club P2P lending *** compare the out-of-sample accuracy and profitability of the credit and profit scoring models within several classes of statistical and machine learning models including the following:logistic and linear regression,lasso,ridge,elastic net,random forest,and neural *** found that our approach outperforms standard credit scoring models for Lending Club and Bondora *** specifically,as opposed to credit scoring models,returns across all loans are 24.0%(Bondora)and 15.5%(Lending Club)higher,whereas accuracy is 6.7%(Bondora)and 3.1%(Lending Club)higher for the proposed profit scoring ***,our results are not driven by manual selection as profit scoring models suggest investing in more ***,even if we consider data sampling bias,we found that the set of superior models consists almost exclusively of profit scoring ***,our results contribute to the literature by suggesting a paradigm shift in modeling credit-risk in the P2P market to prefer profit as opposed to credit-risk scoring models.
