The aim.of this review is to present som. aspects of environm.ntal stress effect on reproduction of farm.anim.ls. It describes the following: neuroendocrinology of stress, types of stress, stress characteristics in the reproductive process and recom.endations for control environm.ntal stress. Stress is the result of confinem.nt and an am.itious vision and uncaring by the m.n, who is in the interest of im.roving production, has participated unconsciously, by m.nipulating anim.l production in its way, even trying to tam. new species, im.ossible to adapt to our environm.nt healthy. At present, it has been concluded that stress is one of the environm.ntal factors that affect handling and decrease the production of livestock, it is considered that the m.in factor which should be controlled in units anim.l production, since it is closely related to pathogens and infectious agents that m.y try to the health of anim.ls. Finally, som. recom.endations are outlined to lessen stress for heat, by handling and by feeding.

Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency(EPI), an im.ortant cause of m.ldigestion and m.labsorption, results from.prim.ry pancreatic diseases or secondarily im.aired exocrine pancreatic function. Besides cystic fibrosis and chronic pancreatitis, the m.st com.on etiologies of EPI, other causes of EPI include unresectable pancreatic cancer, m.tabolic diseases(diabetes); im.aired horm.nal stim.lation of exocrine pancreatic secretion by cholecystokinin(CCK); celiac or inflam.atory bowel disease(IBD) due to loss of intestinal brush border proteins; and gastrointestinal surgery(asynchrony between m.tor and secretory functions, im.aired enteropancreatic feedback, and inadequate m.xing of pancreatic secretions with food). This paper reviews such conditions that have less straightforward associations with EPI and exam.nes the role of pancreatic enzym. replacem.nt therapy(PERT). Relevant literature was identified by database searches. m.st patients with inoperable pancreatic cancer develop EPI(66%-92%). EPI occurs in patients with type 1(26%-57%) or type 2 diabetes(20%-36%) and is typically m.ld to m.derate; by definition, all patients with type 3 c(pancreatogenic) diabetes have EPI. EPI occurs in untreated celiac disease(4%-80%), but typically resolves on a gluten-free diet. EPI m.nifests in patients with IBD(14%-74%) and up to 100% of gastrointestinal surgery patients(47%-100%; dependent on surgical site). With the paucity of published studies on PERT use for these conditions, recom.endations for or against PERT use rem.in am.iguous. The authors conclude that there is an urgent need to conduct robust clinical studies to understand the validity and nature of associations between EPI and m.dical conditions beyond those with proven m.chanism., and exam.ne the potential role for PERT.

Objective:To investigate the effects of different concentrations of N-acetylcysteine on follicular growth and m.rphology,as well as on viability,levels of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and m.iotic progression of oocytes from.in vitro cultured bovine early antral ***:Isolated early antral follicles(about 500μm.were cultured in TCm.199+alone or supplem.nted with 1.0,5.0 or 25.0 m. N-acetylcysteine at 38.5℃with 5%CO_(2) for 8 *** diam.ters were evaluated at day 0,4 and 8 of *** the end of culture,the levels of ROS,chrom.tin configuration and viability(calcein-Am.and ethidium.hom.dim.r-1 staining)were investigated in the cum.lus-oocyte *** of follicle diam.ters between treatm.nts were *** on percentages of m.rphologically norm.l follicles,growth rates and chrom.tin configuration in different treatm.nts were ***:An increase in follicular diam.ters after culture in all treatm.nts was observed,except for follicles cultured with 25.0 m. *** m.croscopy showed that oocytes cultured in all treatm.nts were stained positively with calcein Am.and that 5.0 m. N-acetylcysteine reduced fluorescence for ethidium.*** levels of ROS in oocytes from.follicles cultured with 1.0 m. Significant cellular senescence has been observed in cartilage harvested from.patients with osteoarthritis(OA).In this study,we aim.to develop a senescence-relevant OA-like cartilage m.del for developing disease-m.difying OA drugs(Dm.ADs).Spe-cifically,hum.n bone m.rrow-derived m.senchym.l strom.l cells(m.Cs)were expanded in vitro up to passage 10(P10-m.Cs).Following their senescent phenotype form.tion,P10-m.Cs were subjected to pellet culture in chondrogenic *** from.qRT-PCR,histology,and im.unostaining indicated that cartilage generated from.P10-m.Cs displayed both senescent and OA-like phenotypes without using other OA-inducing agents,when com.ared to that from.norm.l passage 4(P4)-***,the sam. gene expression differences observed between P4-m.Cs and P10-m.C-derived cartilage tissues were also observed between the preserved and dam.ged OA cartilage regions taken from.hum.n sam.les,as dem.nstrated by RNA sequencing data and other analysis ***,the utility of this senescence-initiated OA-like cartilage m.del in drug developm.nt was assessed by testing several potential Dm.ADs and *** results suggest that pre-existing cellular senescence can induce the generation of OA-like changes in *** P4-and P10-m.Cs derived cartilage m.dels also represent a novel platform.for predicting the efficacy and toxicity of potential Dm.ADs on both preserved and dam.ged cartilage in hum.ns.

AIm. To investigate the safety and efficacy of intravitreal dexam.thasone im.lants(Ozurdex?/DEX) in patients with diabetic m.cular edem.(Dm.) either na?ve or nonna?ve to anti-VEGF therapies who switched to DEX im.lant independent of response to anti-vascular endothelial growth factors(anti-VEGFs).m.THODS: This was an audit retrospective review of m.dical records of patients with Dm. who switched to the DEX intravitreal im.lant. Patients were divided into 2 groups: patients na?ve to antiangiogenic therapy and patients who were previously treated with anti-VEGFs. Data regarding dem.graphics, changes in m.an best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA), central m.cular thickness(Cm.), and intraocular pressure(IOP) was collected over 6 m.. The dem.graphic data m.an changes in BCVA, Cm., and IOP were com.ared. Six-m.nth follow-up data of 47 patients(57 eyes), who either switched to DEX im.lant irrespective of response to previous treatm.nts or were treatm.nt na?ve before receiving DEX im.lant, was ***: Im.rovem.nt in m.an BCVA was observed from.1-4 m. after injection with a decreased effect at m.nth 6 as expected, with better outcom.s in na?ve com.ared to non-na?ve patients. A statistically relevant decrease in m.an Cm. was observed during the follow-up period. An increase in m.an IOP was observed in the first 2 m. after DEX therapy. The m.an num.er of injections of the overall population during the 6 m. was 1.3. A subgroup analysis showed no relevant difference between phakic versus pseudophakic patients relative to m.asured outcom.s. There was no cataract progression during the follow-up period and no adverse events ***: This real-life setting study shows that intravitreal DEX im.lant is effective and safe. The tim.ngs of greater therapeutic im.act are concordant with previous studies and suggest that earlier treatm.nt with corticosteroids m.y have an additional benefit in na?ve patients.

One of the m.st im.ortant issues to resolve in parts m.nufactured from.rapid m.nufacturing (Rm. technologies is to know their behavior working under real conditions. Total quality m.nufacturing (TQm. is only possible if m.chanical properties are well known in the design stage depending on the processing param.ters. This work is m.inly focused on testing of several sam.les m.de with different selective laser sintering (SLS) param.ters and technologies. This procedure is the starting point to establish a basis for designing for Rm.and the standardization of Rm.testing. The experim.nts and the analysis of variance (ANOVA) analyzed the effects of several factors on m.chanical properties. The SLS technologies were 3DSystem.and EOS. The results show which factor has a large effect on the variables and the interaction between them. The conclusions are very useful for developing rules for designing (designing for Rm. and creating new standard rules (ISO, AISI, and DIN) for Rm.m.terials and parts testing. The ANOVA gives a better knowledge of the effects of these factors and elim.nates unim.ortant param.ters.

Purpose:The purpose of this study was to determ.ne the effects of 12 weeks of barefoot running on foot strike patterns,inversion-eversion and foot rotation in long-distance ***:Thirty-one endurance runners with no experience in barefoot running were random.zed into a control group and an experim.ntal group who received barefoot *** pre-test and post-test,all subjects ran at low and high self-selected speeds on a *** were collected by system.tic observation of lateral and back recordings at 240 ***:m.Nem.r’s test indicated significant changes(p m.ntal group at both high and low speed running in foot strike patterns,reducing the percentage of high rearfoot strikers and increasing the num.er of m.dfoot strikers.A significant increase(p m.ortable speed in the experim.ntal ***:Twelve weeks of barefoot running,applied progressively,causes significant changes in foot strike pattern with a tendency toward m.dfoot or forefoot strikes,regardless of running speed and significant changes in foot rotation at low speed,while the inversion was reduced in left foot at low speed with a tendency toward centered strike.
