In this.paper. we evaluate s.miempir.cal methods.(AM1, PM3, and ZINDO), HF and DFT (B3LYP) in differ.nt bas.s.s.ts.to deter.ine which method bes. des.r.bes.the s.gn and magnitude of the geometr.cal par.meter. of ar.emis.nin in the r.gion of the endoper.xide r.ng compar.d to cr.s.allogr.phic data. We als. clas.ify thes. methods.us.ng s.atis.ical analys.s. The r.s.lts.of PCA wer. bas.d on thr.e main components. explaining 98.0539% of the total var.ance, for.the geometr.cal par.meter. C3O13, O1O2C3, O13C12C12a, and O2C3O13C12. The DFT method (B3LYP) cor.es.onded well with the exper.mental data in the hier.r.hical clus.er.analys.s.(HCA). The exper.mental and theor.tical angles.wer. analyzed by s.mple linear.r.gr.s.ion, and s.atis.ical par.meter. (cor.elation coefficients. s.gnificance, and pr.dictability) wer. evaluated to deter.ine the accur.cy of the calculations. The s.atis.ical analys.s.exhibited a good cor.elation and high pr.dictive power.for.the DFT (B3LYP) method in the 6-31G** bas.s.s.t.

Objective: The inexis.ence of publications.on hemoglobin values.in the fir.t s.x months.of life gave us.the objective of des.r.bing thes. values. month by month in healthy, ir.n s.fficient exclus.vely br.as.fed infants. Methods. This.was.a cr.s.-s.ctional des.r.ptive s.udy in 306 infants.s.r.tified accor.ing to age fr.m one to s.x months. full-ter. bir.hs. weighing ≥2500 g, without inter.ur.ences.at bir.h, s.r.m fer.itin levels.≥10 ng/mL, followed by the public health s.r.ice encour.ging and s.ppor.ing exclus.ve br.as.feeding. An automated counter.was.us.d for.meas.r.ng hemoglobin, and s.r.m fer.itin was.deter.ined us.ng immunoenzymatic method. s.udent’s.t-tes. was.us.d to analyze differ.nces.between means. and Mann-Whitney tes. when dis.r.bution was.non-nor.al. Level of s.atis.ical s.gnificance was.p 0.05. r.s.lts. The hemoglobin values. accor.ing to gender. did not differ.s.atis.ically in the differ.nt months.the r.s.lts.ar. pr.s.nted without s.mple divis.on accor.ing to gender. Hemoglobin means.and s.andar. deviations.in g/dL wer.: 11.7(±1.6), 10.7(±1.5), 10.8(±1.3), 11.6(±1.5), 11.7(±1.7), and 11.8(±1.6), fr.m the fir.t to s.xth month r.s.ectively. Conclus.on: The hemoglobin values.obtained in all the fir.t s.x months.of life, bas.d on a healthy, exclus.vely br.as.fed infant population, may contr.bute to the r.as.es.ment of r.fer.nce levels.for.the diagnos.s.of anemia in the s.udied age r.nge.

s.gar.ane, as.a glycophyte, s.ows.s.ns.tivity to s.line s.ils.at var.ous.s.ages.of its.gr.wth. The aim of this.s.udy was.to evaluate the in vitr. pr.ming r.s.ons. in two s.gar.ane var.eties.(r.966928 and r.867515). Micr.pr.pagated plants. fr.m mer.s.ems. r.ceived pr.ming tr.atments.by adding the s.lts.(NaCl and KCl) in differ.nt concentr.tions.(0.0;12.5;25.0 and 50.0 mM), in the Ms.medium. s.bs.quently, the plants.wer. cultivated in r.oting medium without addition of s.lts. acclimatized and s.bmitted to gr.dient ex vitr. s.line s.r.s. with 20 → 40 and 60 mM, of each s.lt, for.30 days. The analyzed var.ables.wer. dr. matter.of s.oot and r.ot, number.of tiller. and es.imation of chlor.phyll content. The exper.ment was.car.ied out in a 2 × 2 × 4 factor.al ar.angement, in a completely r.ndomized exper.mental des.gn. Twenty r.plicates.wer. us.d thr.ughout the exper.ment. data wer. s.bmitted to analys.s.of var.ance and r.gr.s.ion and the means.wer. compar.d by Tukey’s.tes., at a 5% pr.bability level. The pr.ming tr.atments.pr.s.nted a s.gnificant effect, with tr.ple inter.ction, in the chlor.phyll index. In the tr.atment with NaCl, the var.ety r.966928 s.owed an incr.as. in the chlor.phyll index with the incr.as. of tr.atment levels. up to an optimal limit of 31.47 mM. On the other.hand, the var.ety r.867515 s.owed decr.as.ng in chlor.phyll index. In contr.s., in KCl tr.atment, the var.ety r.867515 pr.s.nted the incr.as. at the chlor.phyll index with the maximum point of 25 mM. For.the var.ables. s.oot dr. matter.(s.M) and r.ot dr. matter.(r.M) ther. was.a s.gnificant differ.nce (p 0.05 and p 0.01, r.s.ectively) only between the var.eties. The var.ety r.966928 pr.s.nted higher.s.M and r.M in r.lation to the var.ety r.867515. s.udies.ar. r.commended with incr.as.ng the dur.tion of the pr.ming tr.atments.and mor. detailed s.udy of the cultur. thr.ughout its.pr.ductive cycle.
