Directed x-rays.produced in the interaction of s.b-picos.cond las.r puls.s.of m.derate relativis.ic intens.ty with plas.a of near-critical dens.ty are inves.igated. s.nchrotron-like (betatron) radiation occurs.in the proces. of direct las.r acceleration (DLA) of electrons.in a relativis.iclas.r channel when the electrons.undergo trans.ers. betatron os.illations.in s.lf-generated quas.-s.atic electric and m.gnetic fields. In anexperim.nt at the PHELIX las.r s.s.em. high-current directed beam.0}of DLA electrons.with a m.an energy ten tim.s.higher than the ponderom.tive potential and m.xim.m.energy up to 100 m.V were m.as.red at 10^(19) W/cm.(2)las.r intens.ty. The s.ectrum.of directed x-rays.n the range of 5–60 keV was.evaluated us.ng two s.ts.of Ros. filters.placed at 0°and 10°to the las.r puls. propagation axis. The differential x-ray abs.rption m.thod allowed for abs.lute m.as.rem.nts.of the angular-dependent photon fluence. We report 10^(13) photons.s. withenergies.>5 keV m.as.red at 0°to the las.r axis.and a brilliance of 10^(21) photons.s.(−1) m.^(−2) m.ad−2(0.1%BW)−1. The angular dis.ributionof the em.s.ion has.an FWHm.of 14°–16°. Thanks.to the ultra-high photon fluence, point-like radiation s.urce, and ultra-s.ort em.s.iontim., DLA-bas.d keV backlighters.are prom.s.ng for various.applications.in high-energy-dens.ty res.arch with kilojoule petawatt-clas. las.rfacilities.

Anom.lous.ion heat trans.ort is.analyzed in the T-10 tokam.k plas.a heated with electron cyclotron res.nance heating(ECRH) in s.cond-harm.nic extra-ordinary m.de. Predictive m.deling with em.irical s.aling for Ohm.cal heat conductivity s.ows.that in ECRH plas.as.the calculated ion tem.erature could be overestim.ted, s. an increas. of anom.lous.ion heat trans.ort is.required. To s.udy this.effect two s.ans.are pres.nted: over the EC res.nance pos.tion and over the ECRH power. The EC res.nance pos.tion varies.from.the high-field s.de to the low-field s.de by variation of the toroidal m.gnetic field. The s.an over the heating power is.pres.nted with on-axis.and m.xed ECRH regim.s. Dis.harges.with high anom.lous.ion heat trans.ort are obtained in all cons.dered regim.s. In thes. dis.harges.the power balance ion heat conductivity exceeds.the neoclas.ical level by up to 10 tim.s. The high ion heat trans.ort regim.s.are dis.inguis.ed by three param.ters. the ratio Te/Ti, the norm.lized electron dens.ty gradient R/■, and the ion–ion collis.onality νii~*. The com.ination of high Te/Ti, high νii~*, and R/■=6-10 res.lts.in values.of norm.lized anom.lous.ion heat fluxes.up to 10 tim.s.higher than in the low trans.ort s.enario.

Ghana, an s.A country, faces.the problem.of healthcare budgetary difficulties.and the additional im.act of AD as.a cons.quence of increas.ng population s.rata of old aged pers.ns.(OAPs. due to the dem.graphic trans.tion effect. This.article us.s.exam.les.of known patients. illnes. cours.s.to give a pers.ective on the lived experience of patients.with dem.ntia (PWD) in Ghana, living am.ngs. a populace with a culture of s.igm.tization of PWD, and a relatively fragile public m.ntal health s.s.em.(Pm.s. for thos. with m.ntal illnes., including AD.
