Hereditary effect of Al-based modifiers and grain refiners on structure and properties of A356.2 alloys

The hereditary effect of Al Ti, Al Ti B, Al Sr master alloys on the structure and properties of A356.2 alloys was investigated, and comparison analysis between the master alloys used in the foundry industry and the fine crystalline grain refiners produced by technologies of Samara State Technical University was conducted. The results show that less than 0.5% additions of FCR master alloys can promote 8%～20% in the elongation of as cast A356.2 alloys. FCR additives are more efficient in comparison with conventional grain refiners and modifiers. Their effectiveness depends on their genetic effect of their finer structures.

The alkylation of toluene with methanol for the selective formation of p-xylene was systematically studied. very few studies have been reported on the use of superacids such as heteropolyacids on cheap supports, such as clay. This article deals with the use of different heteropoly acids （HPAs）, viz, Dodeca-Tungstophosphoric acid [***2O] （TPA）, Dodeca-Molyhdo phosphoric acid ammonium salt hydrate [H12Mo12N3O40P＋aq] （DMAA）, Dodeca-Molyhdo Phosphoric acid （PMA） on clay （MontmoriUonite, K-10） and as such plain clay. This comparative study reveals that 20%PMA/Clay shows 62% toluene conversion and 100% selectivity toward p-xylene.

Two mean-field potentials, Woods-Saxon and Skyrme based potentials, are used to calculate the energies of low-lying one-quasiparticle states. The spectra of the low-lying states and the α-decay spectra of nuclei belonging to the α-decay chains of ^285Fl and ^291,293Lv are calculated and compared with the available experimental data. Dependence of the splitting of the pseudospin doublets and of the energies of the unique parity neutron one-quasiparticle states on the mean field potential are discussed. As shown, the α-decay spectra could be different in the α-decay chain and at the direct production of the nucleus in a fusion reaction.

A common challenge in managing kidney transplant recipients(KTR)is posttransplant diabetes mellitus(PTDM)or diabetes mellitus(DM)newly diagnosed after transplantation,in addition to known pre-existing *** is an important risk factor for post-transplant cardiovascular(Cv)disease,which adversely affects patient survival and quality of *** disease in KTR may manifest as ischemic heart disease,heart failure,and/or left ventricular *** therapies for PTDM include most agents currently used to treat type 2 *** recently,the use of sodium glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors(SgLT2i),glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists(gLP-1 RA),and dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitors(DPP4i)has cautiously extended to KTR with PTDM,even though KTR are typically excluded from large general population clinical *** evidence from observational studies seems to indicate that SgLT2i,gLP-1 RA,and DPP4i may be safe and effective for glycemic control in KTR,but their benefit in reducing Cv events in this otherwise high-risk population remains *** newer drugs must still be used with care due to the increased propensity of KTR for intravascular volume depletion and acute kidney injury due to diarrhea and their single-kidney status,pre-existing burden of peripheral vascular disease,urinary tract infections due to immunosuppression and a surgically altered urinary tract,erythrocytosis from calcineurin inhibitors,and reduced kidney function from acute or chronic rejection.

Studying the behavior of effective ion charge Zeff, which indicates the degree of pollution of plasma and can provide valuable information about many processes taking place in plasma, mechanisms of the releasing impurities, transport, etc is of great interest. This paper describes the development of the Zeff diagnostic system for the globus-M2 tokamak. The effective ion charge is determined on the basis of measurements of the bremsstrahlung intensity and Thomson scattering data-Te and ne profiles. The results of the first Zeff measurements obtained for several discharges on the globus-M tokamak are presented in this paper. The results have been validated by simulation using the ASTRA transport code for the same discharges, and it has demonstrated a good agreement with the experimental results.

gas phase carbonylation of methane is studied in the presence of molecular oxygen over pure carbon carriers and carbon supported rhodium chalcogen halides. Activated carbons and fullerene blacks have been used as carbon supports. XPS and IR-spectroscopy data show the formation of rhodium chalcogen halides in solids prepared by different methods. We have found that the productivity of acetic acid by carbon supported rhodium chalcogen halides depends strongly on the carbon carrier and the method of the catalyst preparation. Namely, the catalyst with highest productivity for the acetic acid is prepared by synthesizing the rhodium chalcogen halide over the carbon support followed by thermal destruction. We have also found that rhodium chalcogen halides over activated carbons are more active compared with fullerene supported catalysts.

In the present study, the mean annual sediment inflow into vistonis Lake (Thrace, northeastern greece) was calculated. The sediment quantity originates mainly from the basins of Kossynthos, Kompsatos and Travos (Aspropotamos) Rivers. The whole basin area (mountainous part) contributing to the lake amounts to about 845 km2. The above mean annual sediment quantity was compared with the mean annual sediment accumulation in the lake. The latter quantity was estimated from the mean annual decrease of the lake water volume for a period of 22 years, which was determined by means of older and newer topographic maps (isobath contours). For the calculation of the mean annual sediment yield at the outlets of the three above mentioned basins, a mathematical model consisting of three submodels was used: a rainfall-runoff submodel, a soil erosion submodel and a sediment transport submodel for streams. The comparison of the computational results by means of the mathematical model with the estimation results by means of the topographic maps is satisfactory and encouraging.

The aim of this study is to create a fast and stable iterative technique for numerical solution of a quasi-linear elliptic pressure equation. We developed a modified version of the Anderson acceleration(AA)algorithm to fixed-point(FP) iteration method. It computes the approximation to the solutions at each iteration based on the history of vectors in extended space, which includes the vector of unknowns, the discrete form of the operator, and the equation's right-hand side. Several constraints are applied to AA algorithm, including a limitation of the time step variation during the iteration process, which allows switching to the base FP iterations to maintain convergence. Compared to the base FP algorithm, the improved version of the AA algorithm enables a reliable and rapid convergence of the iterative solution for the quasi-linear elliptic pressure equation describing the flow of particle-laden yield-stress fluids in a narrow channel during hydraulic fracturing, a key technology for stimulating hydrocarbon-bearing reservoirs. In particular, the proposed AA algorithm allows for faster computations and resolution of unyielding zones in hydraulic fractures that cannot be calculated using the FP algorithm. The quasi-linear elliptic pressure equation under consideration describes various physical processes, such as the displacement of fluids with viscoplastic rheology in a narrow cylindrical annulus during well cementing,the displacement of cross-linked gel in a proppant pack filling hydraulic fractures during the early stage of well production(fracture flowback), and multiphase filtration in a rock formation. We estimate computational complexity of the developed algorithm as compared to Jacobian-based algorithms and show that the performance of the former one is higher in modelling of flows of viscoplastic fluids. We believe that the developed algorithm is a useful numerical tool that can be implemented in commercial simulators to obtain fast and converged solutions
