AIM： To evaluate the frequency of the loss of the Adenomatous Polyposis Coil （APC） protein and to compare the APC status with the characteristics of colorectal adenomas. METHODS： Immunohistochemical analysis of the APC protein was performed on 118 adenomas and the results were compared with parameters of malignant potential, location of adenomas, macroscopic appearance and age of the patients. RESULTS： A complete loss of the APC protein was found in 28 （24%） adenomas, while 90 （76%） were APC positive. The mean size of adenomas was 13.5± 14.2 mm （95% CI 10.5-16.5） in APC-positive, and 13.8 ±15.5 mm （95% CI 7.8-19.8） in APC-negative adenomas （P = 0.364）. Statistical analysis revealed no difference between APC-positive and negative adenomas as to the histological type （P = 0.327） and grade of dysplasia （P =0.494）. We found that even advanced adenomas did not differ in their APC status from the non-advanced tumors （P = 0.414）. Finally, no difference was found when the location （P = 0.157）, macroscopic appearance （P = 0.571） and age of patients （P = 0.438） were analysed and compared between both APC positive and negative adenomas. CONCLUSION： Most adenomas expressed full-length APC protein, suggesting that protein expression is not a reliable marker for assessment of APC gene mutation. Complete loss of APC protein did not influence morphology, location, or appearance of adenomas, nor was it affected by the patient＇s age.

The violet red sheet like single crystals of dimeric complex K 2Cu(pba)·3H 2O) 2, where pba=propylenebis (oxamic acid), were prepared. Crystals are triclinic, molecular formula Cu 2K 4O 18 N 4C 14 H 24 , M r =819.84, space group P1, a=10.450(2), b=10.675(3), c=13.054(9) , α=107.04(5), β=100.21(6), γ=88.54(2)°, v=1370(1)  3, D x =1.99 g/cm 3 and z=2. The structure was solved by direct methods with final R =0.050 and R w =0.066 for 3827 observed reflections with I>3σ(I) . Two nitrogen atoms and two oxygen atoms from the oxamide coordinate to the Cu Ⅱ atom forming a distorted square planar geometry.

The Ediacaran to early Cambrian Blovice accretionary complex,Bohemian Massif,hosts abundant chert bodies that formed on an oceanic plate and were involved in subduction beneath the northern margin of *** relationships of cherts to their host,their microstructure and elemental as well as isotopic compositions revealed diverse processes of chert petrogenesis reflecting depositional environment and position on the oceanic *** deep-water cherts formed through a hydrothermal precipitation of silica-rich gels on outer trench swell of the subducted slab with none or only minor addition of terrigenous *** the contrary,the shallow-water cherts formed in lagoons on seamount slopes,and at least some of them represent a product of hydrothermal replacement of former carbonate and/or evaporite *** both chert types,the hydrothermal fluids were of low temperature and continuous pervasive hydrothermal alteration of oceanic crust,together with an elevated Si content in Neoproterozoic seawater,served as the major source of *** the other hand,minor carbon enrichment in chert is mostly linked to variable incorporation of organic matter that was deposited on the *** earth element(REE)systematics of the cherts indicate predominantly oxygenated environment for the shallow-water cherts whereas the deep-water cherts were deposited in diverse redox conditions,depending on their distance from hydrothermal *** these data,we demonstrate that the cherts once formed a part of Ocean Plate Stratigraphy(OPS)now dismembered and mixed with terrigenous siliciclastic material to form OPS mé*** our data with those from the existing literature,we show that cherts can serve as significant markers of OPS since the Archean,recording a complex interplay between seafloor-related volcanic(production of MORB-and OIB-like magmas)and sedimentary processes,hydrothermal activity at mid-ocean ridges and seamount chains as well as at outer slopes o

We investigate high-quality single-domain crystals of YbB_(12)using the precise x-ray diffraction technique in combination with the low-temperature polarized THz–infrared spectroscopy and accurate magnetotransport *** is shown for the first time that this archetypal strongly correlated system with a metal-insulator transition to a mysterious dielectric ground state with a metal Fermi surface[Science 362,65(2018)and ibid 362,32(2018)]is actually a heterogeneous compound in the regime of electronic phase *** in the configuration of the discovered dynamic charge stripes are proposed upon *** a result,a conclusion is drawn in favor of a crossover between different patterns of the filamentary electronic structure penetrating the semiconducting matrix of YbB_(12).We argue that the discovery of stripes in YbB_(12)is fundamental,elucidating the nature of exotic dielectric state in Kondo insulators.

Microalloying elements in high-strength low-alloy steels, such as Nb, Ti and v, precipitate during hot-rolling processes. On the basis of classical theory of nucleation and growth, quanti- tative modeling of isothermal precipitation was developed, which was tested by the stress rela- xation method, the calculated precipitation-time-temperature curve is in good agreements with the measured results, then the model was applied to predict the precipitation behavior during continuous cooling.

In this study, we investigate some main electrical parameters of the gold/poly（3-hexylthiophene）：[6,6]-phenyl C61 bu- tyric acid methyl ester：2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane/n-type silicon （Au/P3HT：PCBM：F4-TCNQ/n- Si） metal-polymer-semiconductor （MPS） Schottky barrier diode （SBD） in terms of the effects of F4-TCNQ concentration （0%, 1%, and 2%）. F4-TCNQ-doped P3HT：PCBM is fabricated to figure out the p-type doping effect on the device per- formance. The main electrical parameters, such as ideality factor （n）, barrier height （ФB0）, series resistance （Rs）, shunt resistance （Rsh）, and density of interface states （Nss） are determined from the forward and reverse bias current-voltage （l-v） characteristics in the dark and at room temperature. The values of n, Rs, ФB0, and Nss are significantly reduced by using the 1% F4-TCNQ doping in P3HT：PCBM：F4-TCNQ organic blend layer, additionally, the carrier mobility and current are increased by the soft （1%） doping. The most ideal values of electrical parameters are obtained for 1% F4-TCNQ used diode. On the other hand, the carrier mobility and current for the hard doping （2%） become far away from the ideal diode values due to the unbalanced generation of holes/electrons and doping-induced disproportion when compared with 1% F4-TCNQ doping. These results show that the electrical properties of MPS SBDs strongly depend on the F4-TCNQ doping and doping concentration of interfacial P3HT：PCBM：F4-TCNQ organic layer. Moreover, the soft F4-TCNQ dop- ing concentration （1%） in P3HT：PCBM：F4-TCNQ organic layer significantly improves the electrical characteristics of the Au/P3HT：PCBM：F4-TCNQ/n-Si （MPS） SBDs which enables the fabricating of high-quality electronic and optoelectronic devices.

Converters with pulse width modulation are used for connections between the direct current （DC） and alternating current （AC） networks, e.g., in uninterrupted power supply systems, AC electromotor drives, for powering induction furnaces, in audio technique. Spectrum of signals sampled by pulse amplitude modulation and output voltage spectrum of the converter with pulse width modulation have similar properties. Spectrum of signals sampled by pulse amplitude modulation contains a harmonic of frequency equal to the frequency of the modulating signal and the harmonics of frequencies equal to the sum of frequency of the modulating signal and multiples of the sampling frequency. The output voltage spectrum of the converter with bipolar pulse width modulation contains harmonic of frequency equal to the frequency of the modulating signal and harmonics of frequencies equal to sum of the frequency of the modulating signal and multiples of the frequency of the carrier signal. It also contains harmonics of frequencies equal to the sum of the multiples of the frequency of the modulating signal and the multiples of the carrier signal. The comparison analysis was carried out for the harmonics of the output voltage of the converter with bipolar pulse width modulation in time domain. The dependency of the amplitudes and frequency spectrum on the wave forms of the carrier signal and modulating signal was shown. Similarity of the output voltage spectrum of the converter and signal spectrum sampled by the pulse width modulation was also shown. In an experiment with the Spherical Neutral detector at vEPP-2M collider the cross section of the process e^＋e^- →π^＋π^-π^0π^0 was measured. At energies √s 〈 920 Mev this cross section was measured for the first time. The energy dependence of the cross section is well discribed by the vector dominance model with contributions from p, p＇, p＂ mesons. The decay probability ρ→π^＋π^-π^0π^0 was found to be Bρ = （1.60±0.74±0.18） × 10^-5. The upper limit for the decay ω→π^＋π^-π^0π^0 was improved by two orders of magnitude compared to the previous measurements and is Bω 〈 2 × 10^-4 at 90% confidence level.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) is an umbrella term to describe the entire spectrum of this common liver disease. In patients with NAFLD, especially those with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH), most often have one or more components of the metabolic syndrome, but this is not universal. Although most patients with NAFLD share many clinical features, only a subset of patients develops significant liver inflammation and progressive fibrosis. On the other hand, not all patients with NASH exhibit insulin resistance. NASH can be seen in patients who are lean and have no identifiable risk factors. Many clinical studies have tried numerous drugs and alternative medicine, however, investigators have failed to identify a safe and effective therapy for patients with NASH. As summarized, the heterogeneity of pathogenic pathways in individual patients with NASH may warrant the development of an individualized treatment according to the underlying pathogenic pathway. The differentiation of pathogenetic targets may require the development of diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers, and the identification of genetic susceptibilities. At present, evidence-based medicine provides only a few options including life-style modifications targeting weight loss, pioglitazone and vitamin E in non-diabetic patients with biopsy-proven NASH.
