Optimized Controller Gains Using Grey Wolf Algorithm for Grid Tied Solar Power Generation with Improved Dynamics and Power Quality

This study proposes a control algorithm based on synchronous reference frame theory with unit templates instead of a phase locked loop for grid-connected photovoltaic(Pv)solar system,comprising solar Pv panels,DC-DC converter,controller for maximum power point tracking,resistance capacitance ripple filter,insulated-gate bipolar transistor based controller,interfacing inductor,linear and nonlinear *** dynamic performance of the grid connected solar system depends on the effect operation of the control algorithm,comprising two proportional-integral *** controllers estimate the reference solar-grid currents,which in turn generate pulses for the three-leg voltage source *** grey wolf optimization algorithm is used to optimize the controller gains of the proportional-integral controllers,resulting in excellent performance compared to that of existing optimization *** compensation for neutral current is provided by a star-delta transformer(non-isolated),and the proposed solar Pv grid system provides zero voltage regulation and eliminates harmonics,in addition to load *** power extraction from the solar panel is achieved using the incremental conductance algorithm for the DC-DC converter supplying solar power to the DC bus capacitor,which in turn supplies this power to the grid with improved dynamics and *** solar system along with the control algorithm and controller is modeled using Simulink in Matlab 2019.

Near-infrared studies of nova v5584 Sgr in the pre-maximum and early decline phase

We present near-infrared spectroscopic and photometric observations of nova v5584 Sgr taken during the first 12 d following its discovery on Oct. 26.439 UT2009. The evolution of the spectra is shown from the initial P Cygni phase to an emission line phase. The prominent carbon lines seen in the JHK spectra closely match those observed in an Fe II class nova outburst. The spectra show first-overtone CO bands in emission between 2.29-2.40 μm. By examining WISE and other publicly available data, we show that the nova underwent a pronounced dust formation phase between February- April 2010.

Interaction study between Ocimum sanctum and Glimepiride(sulfonylurea derivative) in diabetic rats

The present study was intended to discover the interaction between Ocimum sanctum(O. sanctum) and Glimepiride, a sulfonylurea derivative used in the treatment of type-2 diabetes, in diabetic rats to suggest an alteration in the dose of Glimepiride in case of hypoglycaemia. LD50 studies for the aqueous extract of O. sanctum leaf were carried out in albino mice up to the dose level of 2000 mg/kg. O. sanctum at low, medium and high doses(100, 200 and 400 mg/kg, per oral), respectively and Glimepiride ?(half) therapeutic dose, therapeutic dose and 2 time therapeutic dose(0.036, 0.072 and 0.144 mg/200 g, per oral) were selected. After the treatment with O. sanctum and Glimepiride as single doses and in various combinations of these two drugs in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats serum glucose levels in all the groups were analysed by the glucose oxidase-peroxidase method. When administered alone as single doses both aqueous extract of O. sanctum leaf and Glimepiride produced a significant anti-diabetic effect in diabetic rats. The anti-diabetic effect observed with combination of aqueous extract of O. sanctum leaf and Glimepiride was significant and more when compared to either of the drugs given alone. There was a definite interaction that necessitates dose readjustment of Glimepiride and further glucose levels are to be frequently monitored to avoid complication of hypoglycemic condition with aqueous extract of O. sanctum leaf and Glimepiride combination.

Role of Flexible Macro Fibre Composite (MFC) Actuator on Bragg Wavelength Tuning in Microstructure Polymer Optical Fibre Long Period Grating for Strain Sensing Applications

The microstructure polymer optical fibre (mPOF) inscribed long period grating (LPG) offers a wide field of application in strain sensors arena within the materials elastic limit. Flexible innovative macro fibre composite (MFC) actuator generates electromechanical force under DC driving voltage. We propose a novel method for Bragg wavelength blue shifting through stretch tuning of mPOF LPG in axial direction under applied DC voltage on attached MFC with LPG. The grating period of mPOF LPG changes refractive index and causes blue shift of Bragg grating fibre wavelength. The shifting governs on the values of generated electromechanically strain transfer from flexible MFC to mPOF LPG and they have potential applications in strain sensor.

Gel-polymer electrolytes with high thermal stability and mechanical properties were considered suitable in rechargeable batteries so as to overcome the problems encountered in liquid *** a previous study,flexible sodium-ion batteries(FSIBs)were fabri-cated using electrodes made of carbon quantum dots(CQDs)decorated with SnO_(2) and NavO_(3) utilizing a polyvinyl alcohol(PvA)/P3HT gel-polymer electrolyte at a ratio of 1:*** addition,various separators such as indium-doped tin oxide/polyoxyethylene tridecyl ether(ITO/PTE),rice paper(RP),silicone with three big holes(SIL BH),silicone with many small holes(SIL SH)and cellulose paper(CP)were tested in flexible Na-ion *** SIL SH delivered a high specific discharge capacity of 4246 mAh g^(-1) in the initial cycle at 2 v and maintained a value of 71 mAh g^(-1) in the 50th *** the aim of improving the cyclic ability of FSIBs,different weight ratios of PvA/P3HT(1:0.025,1:0.05,1:0.1,1:0.15,1:0.2)were tried in this work using the electrodes CQDs@SnO_(2) and CQDs@NavO_(3).The above ratios were referred to as B25,B50,B100,B150 and B200,*** SH was used as a *** voltammetry studies indicated that B150 had a high specific capacitance of 13062 F g^(-1).B25 and B100 exhibited high discharge capacities(171 mAh g^(-1))and(151 mAh g^(-1))compared to that of other ratios B50(75 mAh g^(-1)),B150(88 mAh g^(-1))and B200(54 mAh g^(-1))in the 50th cycle at 2.0 *** study reveals the scope of developing FSIBs of high capacity and cyclability at different voltages using carbonaceous electrodes and gel-polymer electrolytes with different ratios of PvA/*** focus of the present study is to bring out the optimum ratio of PvA/P3HT for maximizing the cyclic ability of FSIBs.

The consumption of contaminated river water can have severe effects on human *** study aims to investigate the trace elements(TEs)content and their health risk assessment in the Badigad River Basin in the lesser Himalayas of *** total,44 water samples were collected from 22 different sites during the pre-monsoon and monsoon seasons,and 25 TEs were *** matrix and principal component analysis(PCA)were used to analyze the potential relationship between the measured TEs and their source ***,the water quality index(WQI),metal index(MI),and cancer index(CI)were *** TEs content in all samples were found to be within the WHO recommended guideline for drinking and domestic *** dominancy order of the TEs was observed as Sr>Ba>Li>Rb>Zn>Cr>Sc>Mn>Ti>Cu>As>Ni>Co>U>v>Pb>Cs>Ga>Y>Tl>Th>Zr>Bi>Cd>*** PCA analysis suggested that TEs could have natural,anthropogenic,and mixed *** WQI indicated that the river water is safe from a human health *** MI suggested that Badigad River can be considered safer for drinking purposes,and the cancer index(CI)showed that all the reported TEs are at low-risk *** findings of this study could be useful for government agencies in developing more sustainable water management policies in the ***,it is suggested that further investigations should be conducted in terms of other hydrogeochemical variables,including major ions,at spatiotemporal levels for the sustainability of the river basin.

Performance analysis of thermal storage unit with possible nano enhanced phase change material in building cooling applications

The heat transfer performance of the phase change materials used in free cooling and air conditioning applications is low,due to the poor thermal conductivity of the *** recent phenomenal advancement in nano technology provides an opportunity for an appreciable enhancement in the thermal conductivity of the phase change *** order to explore the possibilities of using nano technology for various applications,a detailed parametric study is carried out,to analyse the heat transfer enhancement potential with the thermal conductivity of the conventional phase change materials and nano enhanced phase change materials under various flow conditions of the heat transfer ***,the theoretical equation,used to determine the time for outward cylindrical solidification of the phase change material,is validated with the experimental *** is inferred from the parametric studies,that for paraffinic phase change materials with air as the heat transfer fluid,the first step should be to increase the heat transfer coefficient to the maximum extent,before making any attempt to increase the thermal conductivity of the phase change materials,with the addition of nano *** water is used as the phase change material,the addition of nano particles is recommended to achieve better heat transfer,when a liquid is used as the heat transfer fluid.

Carbonaceous materials with large interlayer spacing and disordered structure are considered suitable as electrodes in sodium-ion batteries so as to overcome the problem encountered in conventional *** this study,carbon quantum dots(CQDs)decorated with SnO_(2)and NavO_(3)are used as electrodes in the fabrication of flexible Na-ion *** are prepared from dead leaves of the Samanea saman tree through alkaline-peroxide treatment and hydrothermal ***-prepared CQDs exhibit a quantum yield of 21.03%at an excitation wavelength of 360 *** separators such as indium-doped tin oxide/polyoxyethylene tridecyl ether(ITO/PTE),rice paper(RP),silicone with three big holes(SIL BH),silicone with many small holes(SIL SH)and cellulose paper(CP)have been tried in flexible Na-ion *** SH achieved higher specific capacitance(881 F g-1)than other separators due to the function of many small holes on the surface of the *** SIL SH separator delivered higher discharge capacities of 141 and 114 mC g-1 at 1.5 and 2.5 v than SIL *** RP separator delivered specific discharge capacities of 1087 and 347 mC g-1 in the 1st and 50th cycles,respectively,at 1 *** RP separator delivered a high initial specific discharge capacity of 698 mC g-1 at 2 v and maintained a good discharge capacity of 222 mC g-1 in the 50th *** compared to RP,SIL SH delivered high specific discharge capacity of 4246 in 1st cycle at 2 v but maintained a capacity of 71 mC g-1 in the 50th *** study reveals the scope of developing flexible Na-ion batteries with high capacity and cyclability using carbonaceous materials derived from the leaves of the *** tree.

利用糖为基质生物合成并固定在沙粒上的石墨烯具有光催化性和抗菌性。合成石墨烯(GSC)的形态学和组成通过XRD(X射线粉末衍射),SEM(扫描电镜),EDAX(X射线能谱元素分布),FTIR(傅里叶变换近红外光谱),紫外可见分光光度计进行表征。实验所用3种不同废水,根据其来源进行命名:印染废水(TW),甘蔗糖厂废水(SW),从科代卡纳尔当地的生活污水净化中心取样的生活污水(KWW)。吸收实验表明加入0.2 g GSC能有效去除杂质。GSC的光催化性活性通过可见光和紫外光照射分析测试。GSC对TW样品的去杂质速率常数在可见光照射下提升到0.0032 min^(-1),在紫外光辐射下去杂质速率常数为0.0029 min^(-1)。GSC对SW的光催化活性也有类似提升,去杂质速率常数在可见光辐射下为0.0023 min^(-1),在紫外光辐射下速率常数为0.0016 min^(-1)。对KWW样品,光催化活性仅在可见光下去杂质速率常数为0.0025 min^(-1)。GSC对大肠杆菌的抑菌圈为20 mm。笔者建议基于本实验的研究结果建立起经济有效的废水处理系统。
