A Study on Outlier Detection and Feature Engineering Strategies in Machine Learning for Heart Disease Prediction

This paper investigates the application ofmachine learning to develop a response model to cardiovascular problems and the use of AdaBoost which incorporates an application of Outlier Detection methodologies namely;Z-Score incorporated with GreyWolf Optimization(GWO)as well as Interquartile range(IQr)coupled with Ant Colony Optimization(ACO).Using a performance index,it is shown that when compared with the Z-Score and GWO with AdaBoost,the IQr and ACO,with AdaBoost are not very accurate(89.0%vs.86.0%)and less discriminative(Area Under the Curve(AUC)score of 93.0%vs.91.0%).The Z-Score and GWO methods also outperformed the others in terms of precision,scoring 89.0%;and the recall was also found to be satisfactory,scoring 90.0%.Thus,the paper helps to reveal various specific benefits and drawbacks associated with different outlier detection and feature selection techniques,which can be important to consider in further improving various aspects of diagnostics in cardiovascular ***,these findings can enhance the knowledge of heart disease prediction and patient treatment using enhanced and innovativemachine learning(ML)*** findings when combined improve patient therapy knowledge and cardiac disease prediction through the use of cutting-edge and improved machine learning *** work lays the groundwork for more precise diagnosis models by highlighting the benefits of combining multiple optimization *** studies should focus on maximizing patient outcomes and model efficacy through research on these combinations.

Quantification of 17-desacetyl norgestimate in human plasma by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS) and its application to bioequivalence study

A rapid and sensitive ultra-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry（UPLC–MS/MS） method was developed and validated for the estimation of 17-desacetyl norgestimate in human plasma using solid-phase extraction technique. 17-desacetyl norgestimate D6 was used as the internal standard. Simple gradient chromatographic conditions and mass spectrometric detection enabled accurate and precise measurement of 17-desacetyl norgestimate at sub-picogram levels. The proposed method was validated for a linear range of 20–5000 pg/m L with a correlation coefficient Z 0.9988. The intra-run and inter-run precision and accuracy were within 10%. The overall recoveries for 17-desacetyl norgestimate and 17-desacetyl norgestimate D6 were 96.30% and 93.90%, respectively. The total run time was 4.5 min. The developed method was applied for the determination of the pharmacokinetic parameters of 17-desacetyl norgestimate following a single oral administration of a norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol0.250 mg/0.035 mg tablets in 35 healthy female volunteers.

Interleaved high-gain boost converter powered by solar energy using hybrid-based MPP tracking technique

This paper presents a solar-powered interleaved high-gain boost converter(IHGBC)that increases voltage gain with fewer ripples in the output voltage in comparison to existing DC-DC *** goal of this research is to develop a hybrid-based maximum power point tracking(MPPT)approach with the combination of a flower pollination(FP)algorithm assisted with a perturb&observe(P&O)MPPT approach for solar photovoltaic(SPv)systems integrated with *** ensure effective usage of both FP and P&O algorithms,this study incorporates and validates the hybrid-based MPPT *** proposed solar-powered IHGBC with a hybrid-based MPPT algorithm has been computationally modelled and simulated using MATLAB®and Simulink®for both uniform and non-uniform irradiation and analysed for voltage gain,ripples in the output waveforms and convergence *** proposed hybrid-based MPPT is based on a number of flowers that forecast the initial global peak,assisted by P&O in the last stage for faster convergence to attain the maximum power point(MPP).As a result,the hybrid-based MPPT approach alleviates the computational issues encountered in P&O and FP-based MPP *** proposed hybrid MPPT is compared with conventional MPPT for SPv and the results show that the solar-powered IHGBC using a hybrid-based MPPT technique has negligible oscillations of 0.14%with a high-voltage gain of 7.992 and a fast convergence rate of 0.05 seconds compared to individual P&O-based MPPT and FP-based MPPT *** simulation results of the proposed MPPT with IHGBC outperform the conventional MPPT with high-gain converters.

Magnetic fabrics in characterization of magma emplacement and tectonic evolution of the Moyar Shear Zone,South India

The Moyar Shear Zone （MSZ） of the South Indian granulite terrain hosts a prominent syenite pluton （-560 Ma） and associated NW-SE to NE-SW trending mafic dyke swarm （-65 Ma and 95 Ma）. Preliminary magnetic fabric studies in the mafic dykes, using Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibly （AMS） studies at low-field, indicate successive emplacement and variable magma flow direction. Magnetic lineation and foliation in these dykes are identical to the mesoscopic fabrics in MSZ mylonites, indicating shear zone guided emplacement. Spatial distribution of magnetic lineation in the dykes suggests a common conduit from which the source magma has been migrated. The magnetic foliation trajectories have a sigmoidal shape to the north of the pluton and curve into the MSZ suggesting dextral sense of shear. Identical fabric conditions for magnetic fabrics in the syenite pluton and measured field fabrics in mylonite indicate syntectonic emplacement along the Proterozoic crustal scale dextral shear zone with repeated reactivation history.

The effect of pH on stability and thermal performance of graphene oxide and copper oxide hybrid nanofluids for heat transfer applications:Application of novel machine learning technique

This paper investigates the effects of pH on stability and thermal properties of copper oxide(CuO),graphene oxide(GO),and their hybrid nanofluid(HNF)at different mixing ***,sol-gel and Hummer’s method was employed for the synthesis of CuO and GO nanoparticles(NPs),and they are characterized with various *** effects of two different surfactants were analyzed on nanofluid’s(NF’s)stability at different pH *** properties like thermal conductivity(TC)and viscosity(vST)of NFs were measured at different volume concentration(0.1 vol%to 1.0 vol%)and temperature range of 30-60℃,*** TC and vST of GO/CuO(50:50)HNF are higher than that of GO/CuO(20:80).The figure of merit(FOM)is determined for the studied *** correlations were presented to calculate the TC as well as vST of *** modern novel machine learning-based ensemble approaches were employed for predictive model development for TC and vST of considered *** comparison of prognostic models with Taylor’s diagram revealed that Bayesian optimized support vector machine(BoASvM)was superior to Bayesian optimized boosted regression trees(BoA-BrT)for both TC and vST models.

Multi Class Brain Cancer Prediction System Empowered with BrISK Descriptor

Magnetic resonance Imaging(MrI)is one of the important resources for identifying abnormalities in the human *** work proposes an effective Multi-Class Classiﬁcation(MCC)system using Binary robust Invariant Scalable Keypoints(BrISK)as texture descriptors for effective classiﬁ***ﬁrst,the potential region Of Interests(rOIs)are detected using features from the acceler-ated segment test ***,non-maxima suppression is employed in scale space based on the information in the *** discriminating power of BrISK is examined using three machine learning classiﬁers such as k-Nearest Neighbour(kNN),Support vector Machine(SvM)and random Forest(rF).An MCC sys-tem is developed which classiﬁes the MrI images into normal,glioma,meningio-ma and pituitary.A total of 3264 MrI brain images are employed in this study to evaluate the proposed MCC *** show that the average accuracy of the proposed MCC-rF based system is 99.62%with a sensitivity of 99.16%and spe-ciﬁcity of 99.75%.The average accuracy of the MCC-kNN system is 93.65%and 97.59%by the MCC-SvM based system.

Performance Investigation of Hybrid and Conventional Pv Array Configurations for Grid-connected/Standalone Pv Systems

Currently,the critical challenge in solar photovoltaic(Pv)systems is to make them energy *** of the key factors that can reduce the Pv system power output is partial shading conditions(PSCs).The reduction in power output not only depends on a shaded region but also depends on the pattern of shading and physical position of shaded modules in the *** to PSCs,mismatch losses are induced between the shaded modules which can cause several peaks in the output power-voltage(P-v)*** series-parallel(SP),total-cross-tied(TCT),bridge-link(BL),honey-comb(HC),and triple-tied(TT)configurations are considered as conventional configurations,which are severely affected by PSCs and generate more mismatch power losses along with a greater number of local *** reduce the effect of PSCs,hybrid Pv array configurations,such as series-parallel:total-cross-tied(SP-TCT),bridge-link:total-cross-tied(BL-TCT),honey-comb:total-cross-tied(HC-TCT)and bridge-link:honey-comb(BL-HC)are *** paper briefly discusses the modeling,simulation and performance evaluation of hybrid and conventional 7×7 Pv array configurations during different PSCs in a Matlab/Simulink *** performance of hybrid and conventional Pv configurations are evaluated and compared in terms of global maximum power(GMP),voltage and currents at GMP,open and short circuit voltage and currents,mismatch power loss(MPL),fill factor,efficiency,and a number of local maximum power peaks(LMPPs).

Optimal Pv Array Configuration for Extracting Maximum Power Under Partial Shading Conditions by Mitigating Mismatching Power Losses

The grid-connected or standalone Pv central inverter architecture is comprised of several Pv modules which are connected in different ways to form the Pv *** power generation capability of the Pv array is primarily affected by partial shading conditions(PSC).Due to PSCs,the power output of the Pv array is dramatically reduced,and mismatching losses are induced in the Pv *** on the extent of these problems,multiple peaks also appear in the power-voltage(P-v)curve,which makes it very difficult to track the global maximum power point(GMPP).The main objective of this research paper is to model and simulate the series(S),series-parallel(SP),bridge-link(BL),honey-comb(HC),total-cross-tied(TCT)and proposed triple-tied(TT)solar Pv array configurations under various partial shading *** performance of all Pv configurations is evaluated under a uniform approach,considering eight different shading *** performance of the considered Pv configurations is analyzed in terms of their mismatching power losses,fill factors,efficiency,global maximum power points(GMPPs),local maximum power points(LMPPs),voltages and currents at GMPPs,open circuit voltage and short circuit *** above-mentioned Pv configurations are modeled and simulated in a Matlab/Simulink environment by considering the KC-200GT module parameters.

Natural gas has been considered as the best transition fuel into the future carbon constraint *** ever-increasing demand for natural gas has prompted expanding research and development activities worldwide for exploring methane hydrates as a future energy *** its vast global resource volume(~3000 trillion cubic meter CH4)and high energy storage capacity(170 CH4 v/v methane hydrate),recovering energy from naturally-occurring methane hydrate has attracted both academic and industry interests to demonstrate the technical feasibility and economic *** this review paper,we highlight the recent advances in fundamental researches,seminal discoveries and implications from ongoing drilling programs and field production tests,the impending knowledge gaps and the future perspectives of recovering energy from methane *** further emphasize the current scientific,technological and economic challenges in realizing long-term commercial gas production from methane hydrate *** continuous growth of the corresponding experimental studies in China should target these specific challenges to narrow the knowledge gaps between laboratory-scale investigations and reservoir-scale ***,we briefly discuss both the environmental and geomechanical issues related to exploiting methane hydrate as the future energy resource and believe that they should be of paramount importance in the future development of novel gas production technologies.

Inhibition Effects of Chloroquinolines on Corrosion of Mild Steel in Hydrochloric Acid Solution

The corrosion inhibition efficiencies of four compounds namely N-[（1E）-（2-chloroquinolin-3-yl）methylene]-N-phenylamine（CQMA）,N-（1E）-（2-chloroquinolin-3-yl）methylene]-N-（4-fluorophenyl）amine（CQMFA）,N-（4-chloro phenyl）-N-[（1E）-（2-chloroquinolin-3-yl）methylene]amine（CQMCA）,and N-（4-bromo phenyl）-N-[（1E）-（2-chloroquinolin-3-yl）methylene]amine（CQMBA）on mild steel corrosion in hydrochloric acid media were investigated using mass loss,potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance *** all the studied inhibitors the inhibition efficiency values were found to increase with increasing concentration up to 5.00×10-4 mol·*** electron microscopic technique showed the formation of a thick film on the steel surface in the presence of inhibitors.
