Interfacial Zn2+-solvation regulator towards reversible and stable Zn anode

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） are fundamentally challenged by the instability of the electrode/electrolyte interface,predominantly due to irreversible zinc （Zn） deposition and hydrogen ***,the intricate mechanisms behind the electrochemical discrepancies induced by interfacial Zn2+-solvation and deposition behavior demand comprehensive *** molecules endowed with special functional groups （such as hydroxyl,carboxyl,etc.） have the potential to significantly optimize the solvation structure of Zn2+and regulate the interfacial electric double layer （EDL）.By increasing nucleation overpotential and decreasing interfacial free energy,these functional groups facilitate a lower critical nucleation radius,thereby forming an asymptotic nucleation model to promote uniform Zn ***,this study presents a pioneering approach by introducing trace amounts of n-butanol as solvation regulators to engineer the homogenized Zn （H-Zn） anode with a uniform and dense *** interfacial reaction and structure evolution are explored by in/ex-situ experimental techniques,indicating that the H-Zn anode exhibits dendrite-free growth,no by-products,and weak hydrogen evolution,in sharp contrast to the bare ***,the H-Zn anode achieves a remarkable Zn utilization rate of approximately 20% and simultaneously sustains a prolonged cycle life exceeding 500 ***,the H-Zn//NH4v4O10（NvO） full battery showcases exceptional cycle stability,retaining 95.04%capacity retention after 400 cycles at a large current density of 5 A *** study enlightens solvation-regulated additives to develop Zn anode with superior utilization efficiency and extended operational lifespan.

Na_(3)v_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)(NvP)has garnered great attentions as a prospective cathode material for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)by virtue of its decent theoretical capacity,superior ion conductivity and high structural ***,the inherently poor electronic conductivity and sluggish sodium-ion diffusion kinetics of NvP material give rise to inferior rate performance and unsatisfactory energy density,which strictly confine its further application in ***,it is of significance to boost the sodium storage performance of NvP cathode *** to now,many methods have been developed to optimize the electrochemical performance of NvP cathode *** this review,the latest advances in optimization strategies for improving the electrochemical performance of NvP cathode material are well summarized and discussed,including carbon coating or modification,foreign-ion doping or substitution and nanostructure and morphology *** foreign-ion doping or substitution is highlighted,involving Na,v,and PO_(4)^(3−)sites,which include single-site doping,multiple-site doping,single-ion doping,multiple-ion doping and so ***,the challenges and prospects of high-performance NvP cathode material are also put *** is believed that this review can provide a useful reference for designing and developing high-performance NvP cathode material toward the large-scale application in SIBs.

Electrocatalytic water splitting offers a promising way for hydrogen production with near-zero ***,such as molybdenum carbides(Mo_(2)C),are promising materials for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)but still suffer from poor intrinsic water activation ***,we developed a plasmon-induced local electric field(PILEF)strategy to solve this ***(Ag)nanoparticles decorated Mo_(2)C nanosheets(Ag/Mo_(2)C)were successfully prepared by electrostatic *** visible light excited the PILEF on Ag/Mo_(2)C remarkably reducing the activation energy by 92.7 kJ·mol^(-1)from 147.3 kJ·mol^(-1)of Mo_(2)C to 54.6 kJ·mol^(-1).As a result,the plasmonic Ag/Mo_(2)C significantly enhances~2.3-fold of the current density from 2.8 mA·cm^(-2)of Mo_(2)C to 6.5 mA·cm^(-2)at-3 v *** and reduces the overpotential by 104 mv from 403 mv of dark state to 299 mv of light state at the current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2),achieving better performance than reported *** research demonstrates that PILEF enhances HER activities,offering a potential strategy for boosting the intrinsic activities of catalysts.

In this paper we examine two classes of correlated aggregate claims distributions, with univariate claim counts and multivariate claim sizes. Firstly, we extend the results of Hesselager [ASTIN Bulletin, 24： 19-32（1994）] and Wang ＆ Sobrero＇s [ASTIN Bulletin, 24：161-166 （1994）] concerning recursions for compound distributions to a multivariate situation where each claim event generates a random vector. Then we give a multivariate continuous version of recursive algorithm for calculating a family of compound distribution. Especially, to some extent, we obtain a continuous version of the corresponding results in Sundt [ASTIN Bulletin, 29：29-45 （1999）] and Ambagaspitiya [Insurance： Mathematics and Economics, 24：301-308 （1999）]. Finally, we give an example and show how to use the algorithm for aggregate claim distribution of first class to compute recursively the compound distribution.

Layered rare-earth metal oxides, harnessing the dual properties of oxides and two-dimensional layered materials, exhibit remarkable thermal stability and quantum confinement effects. Therefore, this work adopts the first-principles calculation combined with the Boltzmann transport theory to predict the thermoelectric properties of NdZnSbO compound. The coexistence of weak interlayer van der Waals interactions, robust intralayer ionic bonding, and partial covalent bonding leads to remarkable bonding heterogeneity, which engenders pronounced phonon scattering and imposes constraints on thermal transport along the out-of-plane direction. The weakened chemical bonds induced by the antibonding states, together with the rattling-like behavior of the Zn atom, culminate in the profound anharmonicity in the layered NdZnSbO compound. The weakening bond and heavy element contribute to the softness of phonon modes, which significantly diminishes the phonon group velocity. The redistribution-dominated four-phonon scattering process spans a large optical gap, which effectively reduces the lattice thermal conductivity. The NdZnSbO compound exhibits direct semiconductor characteristic with a bandgap of 0.73 e v by adopting the Heyd-Scuseria-Ernzerhof(HSE06) functional in combination with spin–orbit coupling(SOC) effect. The multi-valley feature of NdZnSbO compound augur favorably for band degeneracy, thus amplifying the power factor. Consequently, an optimal figure-of-merit(ZT) of 3.40 at 900 K is achieved for the n-type NdZnSbO compound. The present study delves deeply insights into the origins for the low thermal conductivity of NdZnSbO compound and proposes an optimization scheme to enhance overall thermoelectric performance.

BACKGROUND Return to work(RTW)serves as an indication for young and middle-aged colorectal cancer(CRC)survivors to resume their normal social ***,these survivors encounter significant challenges during their RTW ***,scientific research is necessary to explore the barriers and facilitating factors of returning to work for young and middle-aged CRC *** To examine the current RTW status among young and middle-aged CRC survivors and to analyze the impact of RTW self-efficacy(RTW-SE),fear of progression(FoP),eHealth literacy(eHL),family resilience(FR),and financial toxicity(FT)on their RTW *** A cross-sectional investigation was adopted in this *** September 2022 to February 2023,a total of 209 participants were recruited through a convenience sampling method from the gastrointestinal surgery department of a class A tertiary hospital in *** investigation utilized a general information questionnaire alongside scales assessing RTW-SE,FoP,eHL,FR,and *** analyze the factors that influence RTW outcomes among young and middle-aged CRC survivors,Cox regression modeling and Kaplan-Meier survival analysis were *** A total of 43.54%of the participants successfully returned to work,with an average RTW time of 100 *** regression univariate analysis revealed that RTW-SE,FoP,eHL,FR,and FT were significantly different between the non-RTW and RTW groups(Pvariate analysis identified per capita family monthly income,job type,RTW-SE,and FR as independent influencing factors for RTW(Pvels of RTW-SE and FR were found to significantly increase RTW among young and middle-aged CRC *** professionals should focus on modifiable factors,such as RTW-SE and FR,to design targeted RTW support programs,thereby facilitating their timely reintegration into mainstream society.

Given a large number of applications and complex processing procedures,how to efficiently shift and schedule tax officers to provide good services to taxpayers is now receiving more attention from tax *** availability of historical application data makes it possible for tax managers to shift and schedule staff with data support,but it is unclear how to properly leverage the historical *** investigate the problem,this study adopts a user-centered design *** first collect user requirements by conducting interviews with tax managers and characterize their requirements of shifting and scheduling into time series prediction and resource scheduling ***,we propose Tax-Scheduler,an interactive visualization system with a time-series prediction algorithm and genetic algorithm to support staff shifting and scheduling in the tax *** evaluate the effectiveness of the system and understand how non-technical tax managers react to the system with advanced algorithms and visualizations,we conduct user interviews with tax managers and distill several implications for future system design.
