Effects of different levels of urea supplementation on nutrient intake and growth performance in growing camels fed roughage based complete pellet diets

The utilization of urea in camels has beneficial and negative effects. The aims of this study were to investigate the effects of different levels of urea supplementation on nutrients intake, digestibility,growth performance, feed efficiency and economics in growing camels fed roughage based complete pellet diets. In the present study, eighteen growing camels with an average live body weight of306.17 ± 2.05 kg were randomly assigned in three treatments: T1 = roughage complete pellet diet without urea,T2 = T1 plus 1% urea,and T3 = T1 plus 2% urea. The results showed that the urea supplementation significantly affected average daily feed and nutrient intake of dry matter(DM), organic matter(OM), crude protein(CP), neutral detergent fiber(NDF), and acid detergent fiber(ADF)(P verage daily intake of nitrogen free extract(NFE) and water were not influenced by increasing urea supplementation(P > 0.05). Similarly, digestion coefficient of DM, CP, ether extract(EE),crude fiber(CF) and ADF was influenced by increasing urea level(P vel(P > 0.05). The intake of digestive nutrients was similar among all treatment groups. Total body live weight gain and average daily gain were significantly higher in urea supplemented groups(P ved(P vely improve nutrients intake, digestibility, growth performance and feed conversion efficiency of growing camels.

Genesis of pyroxenite veins in supra-subduction zone peridotites:Evidence from petrography and mineral composition of Egiingol massif(Northern Mongolia)

Swarms of orthopyroxenite and websterite veins are found within Egiingol residual SSZ peridotite massif of Dzhida terrain(Central Asian Orogenic Belt,Northern Mongolia).The process of Egiingol pyroxenite veins formation is investigated using new major and trace element analyses of pyroxenite minerals,calculations of closure temperatures and composition of equilibrium *** pyroxenites show abundant petrographic and geochemical evidence for replacement of the residual peridotite minerals by ortho-and clinopyroxene due to melt-rock *** of peridotite olivines are found in pyroxenites,Cr#of spinel increases from peridotites to pyroxenites,and compositions of ortho-and clinopyroxene change from peridotite to *** authors show that calculated equilibrium melts for investigated pyroxenites are very similar to compositions of boninite lavas from the Dzhida ***,formation of pyroxenite veins most likely resulted from percolation of boninite melts through the Egiingol *** veins formed at first,followed by websterite ***,the authors assume that pyroxenite veins represent the channels for boninitic melts migration in supra-subduction environment.

The unique anywhere, anytime wireless communication support offers, tremendous potential for the next generation of applications in a Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET). The Quality of Service (QoS) has been the ever demanding task of wireless communication to satisfy the application requirements. Geographical routing employs a greedy forwarding technique to deliver the packets to the destination and to owe the communication void, it fails to render the expected level of QoS. Opportunistic routing technique effectively utilizes the advantages of broadcasting nature of the wireless medium and selects a set of forwarding candidates instead of relying on a greedy node. To improve the efficiency of QoS routing in sparse and highly dynamic network topology, this paper proposes the void-Aware Position based Opportunistic Routing (vAPOR). The vAPOR maintains 2-hop neighbor information to take a routing decision, but it is limited to 1-hop information when the node density is high. It efficiently balances the storage overhead and communication delay due to void and it increases the network throughput even under a sparse network. To provide a certain assurance level for packet reachability, vAPOR decides the potential forwarders based on the forwarding probability that measures link stability, capacity, and connectivity factor. It adaptively favors a path that avoids frequent link failure and unreliable link usage. By limiting the propagation area of duplicate packets, vAPOR reduces wastage of network resources, and ittakes the advantage of concurrent batch forwarding to avoid further duplication and unnecessary delay.

The environmental influx of hazardous contaminants viz PAHs and HMs occurs due to oil and gas drilling,and processing of petroleum products in industrial facilities and *** problem plagues crude oil drilling sites as PAHs are an essential component of and HMs coexist with crude *** analyzed the spatial distribution of 16 PAHs and 8 HMs in 10 contaminated sites of Assam,a state in *** included Digboi,where crude oil was drilled in 1867 and the first oil well in Asia that was ***Ʃ16 PAHs in soil were detected with a minimum of 13.48 and a maximum of 86.3 mgkg1 andƩ8 heavy metal concentrations in the soil ranged between 69.51 and 336.06 mgkg1.A negative correlation was detected between the relative concentrations of PAHs and *** results confirmed that the nonbiodegradable nature of HMs made them stay in the soil for longer periods of *** our study,we found that the levels of lead,copper,nickel,and chromium(total)in soil were 73.62,11.86,58.97 and 158.66 mgkg*** recovery percentage for PAHs and HMs were in the range of 67e97%and 90e95%*** distribution indices for Phenanthrene/Anthracene,Naphthalene/Acenapthhylene,Chyrsene/Benzo(g,h,i)perylene and Fluranthene/Pyrene)calculated for soil samples indicated that the spatial distribution of PAHs in soil is uneven which might be due to variations in contaminates disseminated in *** regionalized concentration has serious implications on the bio-economy both in terms of health and economy,especially since the proximity of crude oil sites to paddy fields and/or tea plantations uniquely marks the landscape of upper Assam.

Susceptibility to insecticides was investigated by collecting field populations of brown planthopper from different locations of southern Karnataka, India （Gangavati, Kathalagere, Kollegala, Soraba and Mandya）. All the field populations differed in their susceptibility to insecticides. In general, Soraba and Mandya populations were more susceptible to insecticides compared to Gangavati and Kathalagere populations. The resistance ratios varied greatly among the populations viz., chlorpyriphos （1.13- to 16.82-fold）, imidacloprid （0.53- to 13.50-fold）, acephate （1.34- to 5.32-fold）, fipronil （1.13- to 4.06-fold）, thiamethoxam （1.01- to 2.19-fold）, clothianidin （1.92- to 4.86-fold）, dinotefuran （0.82- to 2.22- fold）, buprofezin （1.06- to 5.43-fold） and carbofuran （0.41- to 2.17-fold）. The populations from Gangavati Kathalagere and Kollegala exhibited higher resistance to some of the old insecticides and low resistance to new molecules.

Somatostatin is a neuropeptide and a key regulator of the growth *** Sst encoding genes(sst1 to sst6)have been identified in teleost fish genomes but little is known about their *** present study aimed at replicating the context of the inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)and clarifying the involvement of sst3 in the intestine innate defence barrier in zebrafish *** first established a CRISP/Cas9 sst3 deficient line(MT)and analysed the morphological and transcriptomic response to 0.4%dextran sulfate sodium(DSS).Alcian blue staining of larval sections 6 days post fertilization showed an increased in acidic mucins in the intestinal bulb and mid-intestine,with a much stronger response in the MT compared to wild type(WT).The transcriptomic analysis revealed that WT and MT shared enriched gene ontology(GO)terms and pathways linked to catabolism,chondrocyte development,innate immune system,xenobiotic metabolism and oxidative *** contrast,the WT specific response to DSS was enriched in GO terms and pathways linked to transcription and translation,various developmental processes,regulation of biosynthetic processes,apelin signalling and apoptosis while the MT specific response included terms and pathways linked to protein metabolism and catabolic processes,extracellular matrix-receptor interaction and proteasome and chondrocyte ***,this study demonstrated that Sst3 deficiency impairs insulin growth factor and adipocytokine signalling exacerbating the inflammatory response to DSS.
