A new series of quinazolin-4（3H）-one derivatives containing a（1 3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl） core with substituents at the 2-position and aromatic or heteroaromatic substituents at the 3-position were synthesized using an L-proline catalyzed one-pot multi-component reaction *** the synthesized compounds were characterized and screened for their antimicrobial,antifungal and anti-tubercular activities.

Thin film electrodes of the orthorhombic form of tin tungstate （α-SnWO4） were prepared using a hydrothermal method to convert thin films of WO3 in aqueous SncI2. The pH dependence of the growth mechanism was identified by scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and X-ray diffraction （XRD）. The XRD patterns show complete conversion of WO3（s） to SnWO4（s） at pH 1, 4, and 7. SEM images reveal a morphology change from sponge-like platelets to sharp nanowires as the pH increases from 1 to 7. The α-SnWO4 thin films were reddish brown in color, and display an indirect band gap of 1.9 ev by diffuse reflectance Uv-vis spectroscopy. α-SnWO4 is therefore solar-responsive, and a chopped light linear sweep voltammogram recorded under 100 mW/cm2 AM1.5 simulated solar illumination in a pH 5 0.1 mol/L KPi buffer show a visible light response for photoelectrochemical water oxidation, producing 32 μA/cm2 at 1.23 v vs. RHE.

Gangrenous cholecystitis(Gc) is a severe and potentially deadly complication of acute cholecystitis. We present a 83-year-old gentleman with a past medical history of type 2 diabetes mellitus with significant associated neuropathy, presenting to a community hospital in a major metropolitan area with 10 days nausea and vomiting and a benign abdominal exam. While the patient was admitted for hyperglycemia, he was subsequently found to have severe Gc requiring urgent surgical intervention.

Four sites were selected in a salt marsh in the Bahia Blanca Estuary （Argentina）：（1） low marsh （flooded by the tide twice daily） vegetated by S. alterniflora; （2） non-vegetated low marsh; （3） high marsh （flooded only in spring tides） vegetated by S. alterniflora; （4） non-vegetated high marsh. The pH and Eh were measured in sediments, while dissolved nutrients （ammonium, nitrate, nitrite and phosphate） and particulate organic matter （POM） were determined in pore water, pH （6.2-8.7） was only affected by vegetation in low areas. Eh （from -300 to 250 mv） was lower at low sites than at high ones; in the latter, the values were higher in the non-vegetated sediments. The POM concentration was greater in the high marsh than in the low marsh, with no effect of vegetation. Ammonium was the most abundant nitrogen nutrient species in pore water, except in the non-vegetated high marsh where nitrate concentration was higher. All nitrogen nutrients were affected by both flooding and vegetation. Phosphate was always present in pore water at all sites throughout the year and its concentration varied within narrow limits, with no effect of flooding and greater values always at non-vegetated sites. Our results showed that the variability of the pore water composition within the marsh is greater than the temporal variation, meaning that both tidal flooding and vegetation are important in the dynamics of nutrients and organic matter in the sediment pore water.

The state of cutting tool determines the quality of surface produced on the machined parts.A faulty tool produces poor sur face,inaccurate geometry and non-economic ***,it is necessary to monitor tool condition for *** process to have superior quality and economic *** the pre-sent study,fault classification of single point cutting tool for hard turning has been carried out by employing machine learning *** force and vibration signals were acquired to monitor tool condition during machining.A set of four tooling conditions namely healthy,worn flank,broken insert and extended tool overhang have been considered for the *** machine learning technique was applied to both vibration and cutting force *** wavelet features of the signals have been extracted using discrete wavelet trans formation(DWT).This transformation represents a large dataset into approximation coeffcients which contain the most useful information of the *** features,among features extracted,were selected using J48 decision tree ***-sification of tool conditions was carried out us ing Naive Bayes algorithm.A 10 fold cross validation was incorporated to test the validity of classifier.A comparison of performance of classifier was made between cutting force and vibration signal to choose the best signal acquisition method in classifying tool fault conditions using machine learning technique.
