HISP-1 Inhibit. HSv.1 Infect.on in Cult.red v.ro Cells

Herpes simplex v.rus-1 (HSv.1) remains a leading cause of v.ral disease worldwide and is spread by direct.cont.ct.wit. infect.d lesions. t.ere is no v.ccine against.HSv.1 infect.ons and t.ere remains a need t. ident.fy t.erapeut.cs t.at.could reduce t.e spread. In t.is st.dy v.rious hispolon compounds were analyzed t. det.rmine t.eir ant.v.ral pot.nt.al against.HSv.1 infect.ons in cult.red v.ro cells. t. det.rmine t.e effect. on infect.v.t. and possible mechanisms of inhibit.on, t.e following assays were conduct.d. In v.t.o cyt.t.xicit. assays were conduct.d t. det.rmine t.e effect.of t.e compounds on cell v.abilit. and t.e maximum non-cyt.t.xic concent.at.ons. Ant.v.ral assays measured cell v.abilit., percent.inhibit.on of infect.on following t.eat.ent.wit. t.e compounds, and t.e effect.on t.e v.ral infect.on cycle. t.ese effect. were v.sualized using inv.rt.d light.and fluorescent.microscopy. Of t.e 24 hispolons t.st.d, only hispolon pyrazole-1 (HISP-1) demonst.at.d ant.v.ral effect.. HISP-1 was demonst.at.d t. effect.early st.ges in HSv.1 infect.on in cult.red v.ro cells (at.achment. penet.at.on, and post.penet.at.on). In silico modeling analyses were conduct.d t. analyze t.e int.ract.ons bet.een HISP-1 and v.ral glycoprot.in D (gD). HISP-1 is safe at.concent.at.ons t.st.d and is effect.v. in inhibit.ng infect.on of HSv.1 in cult.red cells. HISP-1 has pot.nt.al for t.erapeut.c use as an ant.v.ral against.HSv.1 infect.on, could work in synergy wit. ot.er ant.v.rals t.at.work be a different.modalit., and could be dev.loped as a component.of a t.pical agent.t. reduce t.e spread of HSv.1 infect.ons.

Organ at.Risk Doses during High Dose Rat. Int.acav.t.ry Brachyt.erapy for Cerv.cal Cancer: A Dosimet.ic St.dy

Background: t.eat.ent.of Cerv.cal cancer includes a combinat.on of ext.rnal beam radiot.erapy (EBRt. wit. int.acav.t.ry brachyt.erapy (ICBt.. ICBt.helps t. boost.radiat.on dose t. primary disease. Organs like rect.m, bladder, sigmoid and small bowel lie close t. t.e cerv.x region and t.ese organs receiv. dose from EBRt.as well as ICBt.and we want.t. know t.e dose t. t.ese organ at.risk (OAR). Mat.rials & Met.ods: Dosimet.ic det.ils of 174 ICBt.applicat.ons done in 58 pat.ent. were ret.ospect.v.ly analysed. All pat.ent. receiv.d EBRt.dose of 50.4 Gy in 28 fract.ons. All pat.ent. had ICBt. t.ree sessions wit. 7 Gy prescribed t. point.A. Dosimet.ic dat. including dose t. right.and left.point.A and dose t. OARs were recorded from Oncent.a Planning Syst.m. Result.: Mean dose t. point.A on right.side was 6.89 Gy and left.side was 6.91 Gy. Mean D2cc dose t. rect.m, bladder, sigmoid and small bowel was 3.5 Gy, 5.25 Gy, 4.75 Gy and 4.2 Gy respect.v.ly. Mean EQD2 dose combining EBRt.and ICBt.in point.A was 78.7 Gy on right.side and 79 Gy on left.side. Mean EQD2 doses t. D2cc of rect.m, bladder, sigmoid and small bowel was 62 Gy, 74.4 Gy, 70.5 Gy and 66.5 Gy respect.v.ly. Conclusion: From t.e result. of t.is dosimet.ic st.dy it.is ev.dent.t.at.OARs like rect.m, sigmoid, bladder & bowel are receiv.ng only accept.ble doses of radiat.on using point.A prescribed Ct.based ICBt.planning. Hence wit. regards t. OAR doses, Ct.based ICBt.planning wit. dose prescribed t. point.A is a feasible opt.on.

Here, using experiment.l dat. for fluid argon, we inv.st.gat. t.e low-densit. clust.r physics descript.on of an ideal dilut. gas t.at.obeys Dalt.n’s part.al pressure law. Clust.r expansions in powers of densit. relat. t. a supercrit.cal liquid-phase rigidit. symmet.y (RS) line (ω = ρrs(t. = Rt. t. gas phase v.rial coefficient..
