Surv.y on Public Key Cryptography Scheme for Securing Data in Cloud Computing

Numerous adv.ncements in the Information Technology (IT) require the proper security policy for the data storage and transfer among the cloud. With the increase in size of the data, the time required to handle the huge-size data is more. An assurance of security in cloud computing suffers v.rious issues. The ev.lution of cryptographic approaches addresses these limitations and prov.des the solution to the data preserv.ng. There are two issues in security assurance such as geographical distribution and the multi-tenancy of the cloud serv.r. This paper surv.ys about the v.rious cryptographic techniques with their key sizes, time required for key/signature generation and v.rification constraints. The surv.y discusses the architecture for secure data transmissions among the dev.ces, challenges raised during the transmission and attacks. This paper presents the brief rev.ew of major cryptographic techniques such as Riv.st, Shamir Adleman (RSA), Dffie Hellman and the Elliptic Curv. Cryptography (ECC) associated key sizes. This paper inv.stigates the general impact of digital signature generation techniques on cloud security with the adv.ntages and disadv.ntages. The results and discussion section existing in this paper inv.stigate the time consumption for key/signature generation and v.rification with the key size v.riations effectiv.ly. The initialization of random prime numbers and the key computation based on the points on the elliptic curv. assures the high-security compared to the existing schemes with the minimum time consumption and sizes in cloud-based applications.

A Nov.l Approach towards Cost Effectiv. Region-Based Group Key Agreement Protocol for Ad Hoc Networks Using Elliptic Curv. Cryptography

This paper addresses an interesting security problem in wireless ad hoc networks: the dynamic group key agreement key establishment. For secure group communication in an ad hoc network, a group key shared by all group members is required. This group key should be updated when there are membership changes (when the new member joins or current member leav.s) in the group. In this paper, we propose a nov.l, secure, scalable and efficient region-based group key agreement protocol for ad hoc networks. This is implemented by a two-lev.l structure and a new scheme of group key update. The idea is to div.de the group into subgroups, each maintaining its subgroup keys using group elliptic curv. diffie-hellman (GECDH) Protocol and links with other subgroups in a tree structure using tree-based group elliptic curv. diffie-hellman (TGECDH) protocol. By introducing region-based approach, messages and key updates will be limited within subgroup and outer group;hence computation load is distributed to many hosts. Both theoretical analysis and experimental results show that this Region-based key agreement protocol performs well for the key establishment problem in ad hoc network in terms of memory cost, computation cost and communication cost.

Optimum Inclination Angles of Booster Mirrors and Solar Radiation Av.ilability on the Horizontal and Inclined Box Type Solar Cookers

Mathematical relations are dev.loped to compute optimum inclination angle of booster mirror for horizontally placed cooker (λ) and for optimally inclined cooker (ψ) during all months (selected day) of the year at 30°N latitude for maximizing the reflected component of solar intensity onto the absorber plate of the cooker. A solar radiation model is also dev.loped and used to compute the ratio of v.rious solar intensities on horizontal, inclined and normal surface of the absorber plate for all months at 30°N latitude. These ratios giv. a clear indication of greater solar radiation av.ilability on the optimally inclined cooker as compared to the horizontally placed cooker for faster cooking especially during winter months when solar radiation capture is small. Experimental v.lidations hav. also been performed to access the accuracy of the dev.loped relations and model.
