A metal matrix composite constitutes a continuous metallic matrix and a discontinuous phase known as reinforcement. The hybrid metal matrix composites (Hmmcs) have been used to manufacture drive shafts, disc brake rotors, brake drums, connecting rods pistons, engine block cylinder liners for automotive and rail vehicle applications. The Hmmcs castings of diameter 120 mm and length 300 mm were prepared through sand mould technique following stir casting methodology. The cast components further subjected to evaluation of physical properties and machining tests using two grades of coated inserts and PCD inserts. The experiments were carried out following ISO 3685 standards. The coating thickness of the TiN coated and TiAlN coated inserts were measured using Kalo testing method; the results of the test show that the interface of the substrate and coating was free from the porosity, and the coating thickness of TiN coating was 4.84 microns and TiAlN coating was measured 4.6 microns. The aim is to dev.lop a mechanically flexible polymer nanocomposite film-based strain sensors that could act towards sustainable structural health monitoring for civ.l structures. The dev.loped polymer nanocomposite film combinations will be monitored for their structural, electrical and mechanical behav.ors and the optimized formulations will be tried for strain sensing applications. The films were cast by using Pv. as the base polymer and copper doped silv.r nitrate as the nanofiller along with the use of glycine as fuel which is a combination of silv.r and copper nitrate. After preparing the films, they were tested for conductiv.ty under tensile loading using a digital multi meter connected to a UTM. The samples were subjected to XRD, FTIR and SEM for further analysis. The results of the experiments shown I-v.characteristics of Pv.-CuAgO composites from 5% to 25% CuAgO hav. been increased tremendously with the incorporation of filler material. For 100 v. the maximum current v.lue obtained for plain Pv. is only 7.7E-8 A, whereas CuAgO particles shown 0.0025 A at 5% reinforcements and further increased nearly to 0.025 A for 25% of CuAgO particles into the Pv. matrix.

Hybrid metal matrix composites (Hmmc) are found to be more superior than the conv.ntional composite materials because of their improv.d mechanical properties, which can be suited for an extensiv. range of engineering applications. Automobile and aerospace industries widely make use of hybrid composites as they possess excellent corrosion, wear resistance, low density, and high strength. This paper displays the strategy to build the hybrid composite utilizing Stir casting Method. Present inv.stigation includes the creation of composites utilizing boron carbide (2%, 4%, 6% v.lume) and Red mud (2% v.lume) as the reinforcements and Structural aluminium as the matrix. Experimental inv.stigation of wear analysis of the composites was carried out according to the L9 Taguchi method. The designated number of experiments was accomplished to probe the impact of control factors on the specific wear rate (SWR) of the dev.loped composites. ANOv. was carried out and Wt%. Reinforcement was found to be the decisiv. factor on the SWR of the dev.loped hybrid composite. The Confirmatory test was successfully carried out and the computed error was found to be v.rying from 0.878% to 2.58%.

The oxidativ. dehydrogenation （ODH） of propane was conducted on gallium, aluminum, and chromium doped Si30v.gO catalysts. On doping, the concentrations of the phases responsible for the activ.ty and selectiv.ty increased in their concentrations. The reaction studies were conducted in a tubular steel reactor at temperatures of 753, 783, 813, and 843 K and atmospheric pressure. The total flow rates of the feed were chosen as 30, 40, 50, and 60 ml/min. The propane to oxygen ratios were chosen at 1 ： 1, 2 ： 1, and 3 ： 1, respectiv.ly. The effect of v.rious dopants on the activ.ty and selectiv.ty of the catalysts was studied. Deactiv.tion studies were conducted ov.r all the catalysts. The kinetic data were analyzed in terms of power law models and Langmuir-Hinshelwood （LH） models. The kinetic data results were analyzed by comparing the effect of dopants. Statistical model discrimination was done for the proposed models. AIC and BIC criteria were used for discrimination of the models.

The prime objectiv. of the present study is to examine the effect of tempera- ture dependent v.scosity/z（T） on the rev.lv.ng axi-symmetric laminar boundary layer flow of an incompressible, electrically non-conducting ferrofiuid in the presence of a stationary plate subjected to a magnetic field and maintained at a uniform temperature. To serv. this purpose, the non-linear coupled partial differential equations are firstly conv.rted into the ordinary differential equations using well-known similarity transformations. The popular finite difference method is employed to discretize the non-linear coupled differ- ential equations. These discretized equations are then solv.d using the Newton method in MATLAB, for which an initial guess is made with the help of the Flex PDE Solv.r. Along with the v.locity profiles, the effects of temperature dependent v.scosity are also examined on the skin friction, the heat transfer, and the boundary layer displacement thickness. The obtained results are presented numerically as well as graphically.

This paper introduces a Takagi-Sugeno(T-S)fuzzy regulator design using the negativ. absolute eigenv.lue(NAE)approach for a class of nonlinear and unstable *** open-loop system is initially embodied by the traditional T-S fuzzy model and then,all closed-loop subsystems are combined using the proposed Max-Min operator in place of traditional weighted av.rage operator from the controller side to lessen the coupling v.rtually and simplify the proposed regulator *** each v.rtually decoupled closed-loop subsystem,the composite regulators(i.e.,primary and secondary regulators)are designed by the NAE approach based on the enhanced eigenv.lue *** Lyapunov.function is utilized to guarantee the asymptotic stability of the ov.rall T-S fuzzy control *** most popular and widely used nonlinear and unstable systems like the electromagnetic lev.tation system(EMLS)and the inv.rted cart pendulum(ICP)are simulated for the wide range of the initial conditions and the enormous v.riation in the *** transient and steady-state performance of the considered systems using the proposed design are analyzed in terms of the decay rate,settling time and integral errors as IAE,ISE,ITAE,and ITSE to v.lidate the effectiv.ness of the proposed approach compared to the most popular and traditional parallel distributed compensation(PDC)approach.
