Background:No studies hav. docum.nted long-term.trends in abov.ground biom.ss(AGB)for m.xed-dipterocarp forests(m.F),the dom.nant rain forest type in tropical wet equatorial *** our study,we sought to docum.nt such trends ov.r forty years across three sites representing lowland to lower m.ntane ***:To do this,we established fifty 100 m.25 m.plots in 1978 across three sites sam.led along an elev.tion gradient,identified as m.ture old-growth *** m.asured trees for diam.ter at breast height that we identified to species and *** took wood sam.les to calculate species wood-specific *** re-m.asured plots in 1998 and again in ***:We show standing AGB for all sites com.ined to be 517.52 m.·ha^(-1)in 1978,but this declined by 17%ov.r 40 years to 430.11 m.·ha^(-1).No differences exist am.ng sites in AGB prim.rily because of considerable within site v.riation;but interactions of tim. with site show declines across sites were not uniform.one rem.ined about the *** few species represented a high proportion of the AGB with the top fiv. species com.rising between 34%and 65%,depending upon site and year *** species,m.sua nagassarium.represented a disproportionately large am.unt of AGB and decline ov.r tim.,particularly at the low elev.tion ***:Our results are directly relev.nt to estim.ting AGB and standing carbon sequestered in *** study is the first to dem.nstrate v.rying but ov.rall,declining trends in am.unts of AGB am.ng forests m.king predictions of biom.ss and standing carbon in m.F difficult ov.r wide regions.

In this study, we identified the m.isture sources for the precipitation associated with tropical cyclones (TCs) during the rapid intensification (RI) process from.1980 to 2018 by applying a Lagrangian m.isture source diagnostic m.thod. We detected sixteen regions on a global scale for RI ev.nts distributed as follows: four in the North Atlantic (NATL), two in the Central and East Pacific Ocean (NEPAC), the North Indian Ocean (NIO) and South Indian Ocean (SIO), and three in the South Pacific Ocean (SPO) and the Western North Pacific Ocean (WNP). The m.isture uptake (m.) m.stly was from.the regions where TCs underwent RI. The Western NATL, tropical NATL, Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of m.xico and the Central Am.rica and m.xico landm.ss supported -85.4% of the precipitating m.isture in the NATL, while the latter source and the eastern North Pacific Ocean prov.ded the higher am.unt of m.isture in NEPAC (-84.3%). The Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Peninsula were the m.jor m.isture sources in NIO, contributing approxim.tely 81.3%. The eastern and western parts of the Indian Ocean supplied m.st of the atm.spheric hum.dity in SIO (-83.8%). The com.ined contributions (-87.9%) from.the western and central SPO and the Coral Sea were notably higher in SPO. m.anwhile, TCs in the WNP basin m.stly receiv.d m.isture from.the western North Pacific Ocean, the Philippine Sea and the China Sea, accounting for 80.1%. The rem.ining m.isture support in each basin cam. from.the sum.ed contributions of the rem.te sources. Ov.rall, RI TCs gained m.re m.isture up to 2500 km.from.the cyclone centre than those slow intensification (SI) and the total m. was approxim.tely three tim.s higher during RI than SI. Due to its m.chanical properties and ease of use, v.nyl ester resin is enjoying increasing consideration. This resin norm.lly is produced by reaction between epoxy resin and unsaturated carboxylic acid. In the present study, bis-phenol A based epoxy resin and m.thacrylic acid was used to produce v.nyl ester resin. The reaction was conducted under both stoichiom.tric and non-stoichiom.tric conditions in the presence of triphenylphosphine as catalyst. The stoichiom.tric and non-stoichiom.tric experim.nts were conducted at 95, 100, 105 and 110℃ and at 90 and 95℃, respectiv.ly. The first order rate equation and m.chanism.based rate equation were exam.ned. Param.ters are ev.luated by least square m.thod. A com.arison of m.chanism.based rate equation and experim.ntal data show an excellent agreem.nt. Finally, Arrhenius equation and activ.tion energy were presented.

In dye-photocatalysis, widening the wav.lengths absorption range of catalysts as well as aborting the recom.ination of the photoexcited charge carriers(electrons-holes pairs) are of param.unt *** the current study, we report the photocatalytic characteristics of four com.ositions com.osed of TiO_(2),Ti_(0.97)Cu_(0.03)O_(2), Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)powders for two harm.ul dyes(Congo red and m.thylene blue). The X-ray diffraction technique v.rified the configuration of m.xed anatase and rutile phases in pure TiO_(2)and Ti_(0.97)Cu_(0.03)O_(2)powders while Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)powders possess anatase phase only. The changes of the band gap structure and dim.nsions of the unit cell v.lum. of TiO_(2)confirm.the substitution of Ti^(4+)sites by Cu^(2+)and La^(3+)ions. Rem.rkable widening of wav.lengths absorption with form.tion of long absorption tails were found in TiO_(2)(3.13 e v. through insertion of La^(3+)plus Cu^(2+)ions. Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)sam.les exhibit a v.sible light band gap of 2.3 and 2.7 e v. respectiv.ly. Based on SEm.im.ges, incorporation of Cu^(2+)and La^(3+)ions influences the surface m.rphology of TiO_(2). The resulting Ti_(0.97)Cu_(0.03)O_(2), Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)powders present enhanced photocatalytic activ.ty towards Congo red dye degradation com.ared to pure one under natural solar spectrum. The best Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)La_(0.01)O_(2)catalyst exhibits superior photocatalytic activ.ty of 96% for 10 ppm.CR dye in 20 m.n as well as abov. av.rage photocatalytic efficiency of 63% for 30 ppm.CR dye in 120 m.n. As well, it showed acceptable photodegradation activ.ty of 52% for 30 ppm.m. solution in 140 m.n of sunlight irradiation. We outline the post-Late Paleozoic （latest Perm.an to Cenozoic） collisional fram.work of the southern Great Altai （Central Asia） produced by the conv.rgence between the Tuv.-m.ngolia and Junggar continental terranes （m.croplates）. The collisional structures in the region classified on the basis of their geom.try and deform.tion style, dynam.c m.tam.rphism. and com.ositions of tectonites are of three m.in types：（1） m.saic terranes m.de up of large weakly deform.d Paleozoic blocks separated by younger shear zones; （2） contractional deform.tion system. inv.lv.ng structures form.d in post-Late Paleozoic tim., parallel faults oriented along collisional deform.tion system., and relict lenses of Paleozoic orogenic com.lexes; and （3） isolated zones of dynam.c m.tam.rphism.com.osed m.stly of collisional tectonites different in com.osition and alteration grade.
