Slight plastic deform.tion of 0 to 1% by cold rolling is proposed as a treatm.nt which m.y m.dify the responses of m.gnetoim.edance （m.） sensor with an am.rphous ribbon used as a sensitiv. elem.nt. The dependence of the m.gnetic properties of m.lt spun Fe3Co67Cr3Si15B12 am.rphous ribbons and their m. responses in the initial state and after slight plastic deform.tion on the v.lue of the deform.tion were com.arativ.ly analysed. The shape of the hysteresis loops shows a clear correlation with the v.lue of the deform.tion. The v.riations of the total im.edance, the real and the im.ginary com.onents, are m.asured for the current intensity of 1.S m. for the frequency of lO m.z. Slight plastic deform.tion affects both real and im.ginary com.onents and allows a control of the shape of the m. curv.s in a sm.ll field in a range usually used in biom.dical applications. The proposed deform.tion treatm.nts can be useful for the construction of the m. sensitiv. elem.nts with a new type of the responses.

The search for new biom.rkers predictiv. of type 2 diabetes currently constitutes a research av.nue in Bioclinical. Total hom.cysteine rem.ins a preferred target due to its inv.lv.m.nt in the occurrence of degenerativ. com.lications in type 2 diabetics. The aim.of this work was to study hyperhom.cysteinem.a and other biochem.cal m.rkers associated with T2D in the Congolese population. This was an analytical case-control study carried out between October 2022 and October 2023. The study population consisted of 150 subjects including 100 T2D patients and 50 control subjects. The m.in clinical data were collected on a pre-established form. Hom.cysteine determ.nation was carried out by the sandwich ELISA m.thod. The other biochem.cal m.rkers were m.asured by colorim.tric enzym.tic m.thods. Hyperhom.cysteinem.a was present in 27.3% (41/150) of the entire study population. Type 2 diabetics had a frequency of hyperhom.cysteinem.a of 36% (36/100) and control 10% (5/50) (p = 0.001). The m.an hyperhom.cysteinem.a concentration was 31.9 μm.l/l with extrem.s ranging from.18 to 103 μm.l/l. m.ans of biological m.rkers between diabetics and controls showed a statistically significant difference (p = 0.01). The risk factors associated with this HHcy were: sex (OR = 3.5), age (OR = 9.4), sedentary lifestyle (OR = 3.4) and glycosylated hem.globin (OR = 12) with a p-v.lue v.ly. Our results suggest that hyperhom.cysteinem.a can be considered as a predictiv. biom.rker in the bioclinic of Congolese type 2 diabetic patients.

Our knowledge of how m.le com.etition contributes to speciation is dom.nated by inv.stigations of com.etition between within-species m.rphs or closely related species that differ in conspicuous traits expressed during the breeding season （e.g. color, song）. In such studies, it is im.ortant to consider the m.nner in which putativ.ly sexually selected traits influence the outcom. of com.etitiv. interactions within and between types because these traits can com.unicate inform.tion about com.etitor quality and m.y not be utilized by hom.typic and heterotypic receiv.rs in the sam. way. We studied the roles of breeding color and aggressiv. behav.ors in com.etition within and between two div.rgent threes- pine stickleback Gasterosteus aculeatus color types. Our prev.ous work in this system.showed that the switch from.red to black breeding coloration is associated with changes in m.le com.etition biases. Here, we find that red and black m.les also use different currencies in com.etition. Winners of both color types perform.d m.re aggressiv. behav.ors than losers, regardless of whether the com.etitor was of the sam. or opposite color type. But breeding color differently predicted com.etitiv. outcom.s for red and black m.les. m.les who were redder at the start of com.etition were m.re likely to win when paired with hom.typic com.etitors and less likely to win when paired with heterotypic com.etitors. In contrast, black color, though expressed in the breeding season and condition dependent, was unrelated to com.etitiv. outcom.s. Placing questions about the role of m.le com.etition in speciation in a sexual signal ev.lution fram.work m.y prov.de insight into the ＂why and how＂ of aggression biases and asym.etries in com.etitiv. ability between closely related m.rphs and species.

Background: The treatm.nt of brain m.tastases with radiotherapy has shifted to the use of Stereotactic Radio-surgery (SRS). The technical issue of expanding the treatm.nt v.lum. around the Gross Tum.r v.lum. (GTv. is a current debate. Radiotherapy centers use v.riable GTv.PTv.m.rgins, ranging from.one to 2 m.. m.terial and m.thods: We perform.d a dosim.tric com.arison in plans of twenty patients using three m.rgins: PTv.zero, PTv., and PTv.. We also dev.loped im.ginary Peel v.lum.s. These v.lum.s are described as follows: Peel1 = PTv. − GTv. Peel2 = PTv. − GTv. Results: Our results showed that the m.an PTv.v.lum. differed significantly across the different m.rgins (p = 0.000). The v.2 of the brain significantly v.ried as a function of PTv.m.rgin (p = 0.000). The target cov.rage and plan quality indices were not significantly different. The Peel v.lum. dosim.tric analysis showed that the m.an dose was significantly higher in the nearby norm.l brain tissue: Peel1 (p = 0.022) and Peel 2 (p = 0.013). Conclusion: According to our dosim.tric analysis, expanding the GTv.into a PTv.by 1 m. m.rgin is m.re conv.nient than 2 m..

Teratozoosperm.a is an infertility issue that affects a significant num.er of couples of reproductiv. age. One of the potential causes contributing to the global decline in sem.nal quality includes factors such as diet, alcohol and tobacco consum.tion, high lev.ls of stress, and env.ronm.ntal influences. This underscores the need to preserv. the fertility of these patients through cryopreserv.tion techniques. In this rev.ew, we explore the latest m.thods for freezing sem.nal sam.les, highlighting their adv.ncem.nts and adv.ntages in addressing the challenge of perpetuating anim.l species, particularly in the context of hum.n infertility.

The report highlights the significant progress ov.r v.rious regions with respect to understanding of coastal hazards, num.rical m.deling techniques and the generation & dissem.nation of coastal hazard warnings and products. The dev.lopm.nts ov.r v.rious regions in the globe during 2014-18 hav. been discussed in this report as presented during 10th Session of International Workshop on Tropical Cyclones (IWTC-X) at Bali, Indonesia. m.re specifically, v.rious regions hav. started to confront the uncertainty that cannot be rem.v.d from.TC analyses and forecasts and further com.unicate those hazards within the context of risk [probabilistic] based inform.tion. Progress also includes im.act-based forecasts such as com.unicating coastal inundation inform.tion relativ. to total water lev.l instead of storm.surge, specifically (i.e., anom.ly from.astronom.cal tide and wav.s). Lastly, updates to m.del grid configuration, m.del resolution, and coupled dynam.cal system. continue to resolv. the costal hazards m.re effectiv.ly. Those approaches hav. likely helped reduce loss of life relativ. to historical standards. Howev.r, regions agree that the generation and dissem.nation of coastal hazard inform.tion still need to be im.rov.d in v.ew of growing population along the coast and thus increased exposure of life to coastal hazard. The selection of process param.ter in the gas tungsten arc （GTA） welding of titanium.alloy was presented for obtaining optim.m.grain size and hardness. Titanium.alloy （Ti-6Al-4v. is one of the m.st im.ortant non-ferrous m.tals which offers great potential application in aerospace, biom.dical and chem.cal industries, because of its low density （4.5 g/cm.3）, excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, attractiv. fracture behav.our and high m.lting point （1678℃）. The preferred welding process for titanium.alloy is frequent GTA welding due to its com.arativ.ly easier applicability and better econom.. In the case of single pass （GTA） welding of thinner section of this alloy, the pulsed current has been found beneficial due to its adv.ntages ov.r the conv.ntional continuous current process. m.ny considerations com. into the picture and one needs to carefully balance v.rious pulse current param.ters to reach an optim.m.com.ination. Four factors, fiv. lev.l, central com.osite, rotatable design m.trix were used to optim.ze the required num.er of experim.ntal conditions. m.them.tical m.dels were dev.loped to predict the fusion zone grain size using analysis of v.riance （ANOv.） and regression analysis. The dev.loped m.dels were optim.zed using the traditional Hooke and Jeev.＇s algorithm. Experim.ntal results were prov.ded to illustrate the proposed approach.
