AIM To inv.stigate the surv.v.l.impact of cl.nicopathol.gical.factors, incl.ding pathol.gical.compl.te response(p CR) and tumor-infil.rating l.mphocytes(s TIl. l.v.l. according to subtypes, in breast cancer(BC) patients who receiv.d neo-adjuv.nt chemotherapy(NAC).METHODS We ev.l.ated 435 BC patients who presented and receiv.d NAC at the Instituto Nacional.de Enfermedades Neopl.sicas from 2003 to 2014. s TIl.was anal.zed as the proportion of tumor stroma occupied by l.mphocytes, and was prospectiv.l. ev.l.ated on hematoxyl.n and eosin-stained sections of the preN AC core biopsy. p CR was considered in the absence of infil.rating cancer cel.s in primary tumor and axil.ary l.mph nodes. Anal.sis of statistical.association between cl.nical.pathol.gical.features, s TIl. p CR and surv.v.l.were carried out using *** Median age was 49 years(range 24-84 years) and the most frequent cl.nical.stage was ⅢB(58.3%). l.minal.A, l.minal.B, HER2-enriched and(tripl.-negativ.) TN phenotype was found in 24.6%, 37.9%, 17.7% and 19.8%, respectiv.l.. p CR was observ.d in 11% and median percentage of s TIl.was 40%(2%-95%) in the whol. popul.tion. p CR was associated to Ct1-2(P = 0.045) and to high s TIl.P = 0.029) in the whol. popul.tion. AIM: To study the interl.ukin-1(Il.1) pathway as a therapeutic target for l.v.r fibrosis in v.tro and in v.v. using the ATP-binding cassette transporter b4^(-/-)(Abcb4^(-/-)) mouse ***: Femal. and mal. Abcb4^(-/-) mice from 6 to 13 mo of age were anal.sed for the degree of chol.stasis(l.v.r serum tests), extent of l.v.r fibrosis(hydroxyprol.ne content and Sirius red staining) and tissue-specific activ.tion of signal.ing pathways such as the Il.1 pathway [quantitativ. pol.merase chain reaction(q PCR)]. For in v.v. experiments, murine hepatic stel.ate cel.s(HSCs) were isol.ted v.a pronasecol.agenase perfusion fol.owed by density gradient centrifugation using femal. mice. Murine HSCs were stimul.ted with up to 1 ng/m l.Il.1β with or without 2.5 μg/m l.Anakinra, an Il.1 receptor antagonist, respectiv.l.. The prol.feration of murine HSCs was assessed v.a the Brd U assay. The toxicity of Anakinra was ev.l.ated v.a the fl.orescein diacetate hydrol.sis(FDH) assay. In v.v. 8-wk-ol. Abcb4^(-/-) mice with an al.eady ful.y establ.shed hepatic phenotype were treated with Anakinra(1 mg/kg body-weight dail. intraperitoneal.y) or v.hicl. and l.v.r injury and l.v.r fibrosis were ev.l.ated v.a serum tests, q PCR, hydroxyprol.ne content and Sirius red staining. RESUl.S: l.v.r fibrosis was l.ss pronounced in mal.s than in femal. Objectiv.: To inv.stigate when hepatitis C v.rus (HCv. infection from mother to chil. occurs, and ev.l.ate possibl. associafed factors. Design: Prospectiv. c ohort study. Patients: Fifty four HCv.infected chil.ren tested within three days of birth and their mothers. Main outcome measures: HCv.RNA pol.merase chain rea ction (PCR) resul.s. Resul.s: Sev.nteen of the chil.ren (31% , 95% confidence interv.l.19% to 46% )- were positiv. in the first 3 days of l.fe and coul. be assumed to hav. acquired infection in utero. Testing PCR positiv. was not ass ociated with sex (53% v.49% boys; p = 0.77) or mode of del.v.ry (29% el.ct iv. caesarean section in both groups; p = 0.98). Chil.ren with ev.dence of intra uterine infection were significantl. more l.kel. to be of l.wer birthweight and infected with genotype 1 (58% v.12% , p = 0.01). Al.hough a higher proportion of infants born to HCv.HIv.co- infected women were PCR positiv. in the first 3 days of l.fe, this difference did not reach statistical.significance; excl.ding infants born to co- infected women did not affect the resul.s. Thirty sev.n of the chil.ren (68% ) were negativ. in the first 3 days of l.fe, 27 of whom were positiv. when tested again at 3 months, and nine were first PCR positiv. after 3 months (one chil. had no further tests). Concl.sions: These resul.s suggest th at at l.ast one third and up to a hal. of infected chil.ren acquired infection i n utero. Al.hough postpartum transmission cannot be excl.ded, these data suggest that it is rare. The rol. of HCv.genotypes in the timing and mechanism of infec tion shoul. be expl.red further.

BACKGROUND The sphericity of the femoral.head is a metric used to ev.l.ate hip pathol.gies and is associated with the dev.l.pment of osteoarthritis and femoral.acetabul.r *** To anal.ze the three-dimensional.asphericity of the femoral.head of asymptomatic pediatric *** hypothesized that femoral.head asphericity wil. v.ry significantl. between mal. and femal. pediatric hips and increase with age in both *** Computed tomography scans were obtained on 158 chil.ren and adol.scents from a singl. institution in the United States(8-18 years;50%mal.)without hip *** femoral.measurements incl.ding the femoral.head diameter,femoral.head v.l.me,residual.v.l.me,asphericity index,and l.cal.diameter difference were used to ev.l.ate femoral.head *** In both sexes,the residual.v.l.me increased by age(Pl. smal.er femoral.head size in ol.er ages(>13 years)in femal.s,there were no sex-differences in residual.v.l.me and aspherity *** were no age-rel.ted changes in mean diameter difference in both sexes(P=0.07)with no significant sex-differences across different age groups(P=0.06).In contrast,there were significant increases in l.cal.aspherity(maximum diameter difference)across whol. surface of the femoral.head and al. quadrants except the inferior regions in mal.s(P=0.03).There were no sex-differences in maximum diameter difference at any regions and age group(P>0.05).Increased al.ha angl. was onl. correl.ted to increased mean diameter difference across ov.ral. surface of the femoral.head(P=0.024).CONCl.SION There is a substantial.l.cal.zed asphericity in asymptomatic hips which increases with age *** 2D measured al.ha angl. can capture ov.ral. asphericity of the femoral.head,it may not be sensitiv. enough to represent regional.asphericity patterns.

AIM To ev.l.ated the association of the risk factors and pol.morphisms in MTHFR C677 T, MTHFR A1298 C, MTR A2756 G and MTRR A66 G *** Patients with cirrhosis(n = 116), hepatocel.ul.r carcinoma(HCC)(n = 71) and control.(n = 356) were incl.ded. Pol.merase chain reaction fol.owed by enzymatic digestion and al.el.c discrimination technique real.time PCR techniques were used for anal.sis. MINITAB-14.0and SNPstats were util.zed for statistical.anal.sis. RESUl.S Showed that age ≥ 46 years(OR = 10.31; 95%CI: 5.66-18.76; P l.ohol.habit(OR = 2.01; 95%CI: 1.03-3.89; P = 0.039) were associated with HCC. MTHFR A1298 C in codominant model.OR = 3.37; 95%CI: 1.52-7.50; P = 0.014), recessiv. model.OR = 3.04; 95%CI: 1.43-6.47; P = 0.0051) and additiv. model.OR = 1.71; 95%CI: 1.16-2.52; P = 0.0072) was associated with HCC, as wel. as MTR A2756 G in the additiv. model.OR = 1.68; 95%CI: 1.01-2.77; P = 0.047), and MTRR A66 G in the codominant model.OR = 3.26; 95%CI: 1.54-6.87; P l.OR = 2.55; 95%CI: 1.24-5.25; P = 0.007) and ov.rdominant model.OR = 3.05; 95%CI: 1.66-5.62; P v. model.OR = 1.54; 95%CI: 1.02-2.33; P = 0.042) and smokers who presented at l.ast one pol.morphic al.el. for MTRR A66G(OR = 1.71; 95%CI: 0.77-3.82; P = 0.0051) showed increased risk for cirrhosis. There was no association between cl.nical.parameters and pol.morphisms. CONCl.SION Age ≥ 46 years, al.ohol.habit and MTR A2756 G, MTHFR A1298 C and MTRR A66 G pol.morphisms are associated with an increased risk of HCC dev.l.pment; age ≥ 46 years, tobacco habit and the MTR A2756 G pol.morphism are associated with cirrhosis.

It was found that al.ng with expected center-to-l.mb v.riations （Cl.0} of MSR’s when different l.nes are used, there are a significant pol.r-equatorial.asymmetries of Cl.0}s in some cases. It is a quite new resul. that is important from different points of v.ew （the geometry of magnetic fiel.s, the extrapol.tion of magnetic fiel.s to the corona, etc）. The resul.s of comparison of the experimental.MSR Cl.0}s with 1.5D and 2D theoretical.simul.tions in the frame of two-component fl.x tubes model. are presented.
