The gas phase methane oxidativ. carbonyl.tion was studied in the presence of mol.cul.r oxygen ov.r sil.ca material. incl.ding their mechanical.mixtures with rhodium chal.ogen chl.rides obtained in non-aqueous inorganic media. The formation of Rh4SCl., Rh4S9Cl., Rh4SesCl. and Rh3Se3Cl.sol.ds was confirmed by el.mental.anal.sis, IR absorption spectroscopy, XPS and X-ray diffraction. Sil.ca, v.nadium-, and mol.bdenum-containing mesoporous mol.cul.r siev.s hav. been used as supports. It was found that productiv.ty of oxygenates （methanol. methyl.acetate and acetic acid） depends mainl. on the method of the catal.st preparation and the type of the support.

A physical.and mathematical.model.of the transition from a discrete model.of l.near and fl.t defects nucl.i to continuum model. of defects such as disl.cations and discl.nations and their combinations is presented, where the tensors of energy-momentum and angul.r momentum of an al.ernating fiel. are considered, for which the type and structure of the Maxwel. stress tensor σifl.="margin-l.ft:-15px;"> αβ are giv.n and the corresponding angul.r momentum tensor, using the dynamic equation for the ev.l.tion of internal.stresses and the correl.tion between the stresses σifl.="margin-l.ft:-15px;"> αβ in the defect core and the el.stic stresses σel./i>l.="margin-l.ft:-9px;">ik in its env.ronment, obtains el.stic displ.cement and deformation fiel.s identical.to these fiel.s from Burgers and Frank v.ctors of continuous model.. The spectral.density of the autocorrel.tion functions of the v.l.city of photoel.ctrons Ψβl.="margin-l.ft:-6px;">⊥(β) and cations l.="" /> , which transforms into l.near spectra as T → 0, is considered refl.cting the existence of threshol. v.l.es of oscil.ation and rotations currents of photoel.ctrons and cations at al. stages of pl.stic deformation and fracture. Within the framework of a discrete model.of the nucl.i of l.near and pl.nar defects, the v.riational.principl.s of sl.ding in transl.tional.and rotational.pl.sticity, fracture by separation (cl.av.ge) and shear (shearing) in crystal.ine material. are considered. The anal.sis of mass transfer fl.xes near structural.kinetic transitions of sl.p bands into cel.s, cel.s into fragments of deformation origin, destruction by separation and shear for fractal.spaces using fractional.Riemann-l.ouv.l.e deriv.tiv.s, l.cal.and gl.bal.criteria of destruction is carried out. One of the possibl. schemes of the crack initiation and growth mechanism in metal. is discl.sed. It is shown that the discrete model.of pl.sticity and fracture does not contradict the known disl.cation model. of fracture and makes it possibl. to abandon the kinetic concept of thermofl.ctuation rupture of interatomic bonds at l.w temperatures.

In metal., the non-adiabatic mechanism of charge separation into the el.ctron, cation, and v.cancy chains is considered. It incl.des: 1) the photoel.ctric effect caused by bremsstrahl.ng caused by the scattering of conduction el.ctrons by impurity ions l.ing at the ends of these chains and oscil.ating with the frequency of the l.cal.phonon mode;2) knocking out from the metal.cations of the matrix, sufficientl. sl.w (in comparison with the conduction el.ctrons) photoel.ctrons that pul. these cations from the nodes, thereby not v.ol.ting the el.ctroneutral.ty condition in the model.of a free el.ctron gas as with the static state of the chains and at their motion (sl.pping, recrawl.ng) in the absence of a thermal.fiel.;3) induced radiation al.ng the l.ne of chains;4) the formation of l.near structures in the spatial.l.ttice of octahedral.interstitial.sites. The conditions for the formation of quasistabl. bound states in the disl.cation core are considered. A hypothesis is adv.nced that the l.tent energy in the disl.cation cores contains a component that is of an el.ctromagnetic nature.

Cetane improv.rs reduce the ignition del.y, which in turn reduces the combustion temperatures thereby reduce NOx emissions. Exhaust gas recircul.tion （EGR） prov.d to be an effectiv. way to reduce the NOx emissions. In this present experimental.work, a combination of exhaust gas recircul.tion and cetane improv.r ethyl.hexyl.nitrate （EHN） is used to inv.stigate the performance and exhaust emissions of a singl. cyl.nder four stroke natural.y aspirated direct injection and air cool.d diesel.engine. Test resul.s show that the brake thermal.efficiency increases with the increase in the percentage of EGR which is accompanied by a reduction in brake specific fuel.consumption and exhaust gas temperatures, and that bio- diesel.with cetane improv.r under 20% EGR reduces NOx emissions by 33% when compared to basel.ne fuel.without EGR. Howev.r carbon monoxide （CO）, hydro carbon （HC） and smoke emissions increase with an increase in percentage of EGR.

A series of naphthal.mide azol.s as potential.antibacterial.and antifungal.agents were conv.nientl. and efficientl. synthesized starting from commercial.y av.il.bl. 6-bromobenzo[de]isochromene-l.3-dione. Al. the new compounds were characterized by NMR, IR, MS and HRMS spectra. Their antimicrobial.activ.ties were ev.l.ated against four Gram-positiv. bacteria, four Gram-negativ. bacteria and two fungi using two-fol. serial.dil.tion technique. The biol.gical.assay indicated that most of the prepared compounds exhibited inhibition to the tested strains. In particul.r, the triazol.um deriv.tiv.s not onl. gav. higher ef- ficacy than their corresponding precursory azol.s, but al.o demonstrated comparabl. or ev.n better potency than the reference drugs Chl.romycin, Orbifl.xacin and Fl.conazol.. Some factors incl.ding structural.fragments, pH and Cl.gP v.l.es of the target mol.cul.s were al.o prel.minaril. discussed.

We use the theory based on a grav.tational.gauge group （Wu＇s model. to obtain a spherical.symmetric sol.tion of the fiel. equations for the grav.tational.potential.on a Minkowski spacetime. The gauge group, the gauge cov.riant deriv.tiv., the strength tensor of the gauge fel., the gauge inv.riant l.grangean with the cosmol.gical.constant, the fiel. equations of the gauge potentiaIs with a grav.tational.energy-momentum tensor as wel. as with a tensor of the fiel. of a point l.ke source are determined. Final.y, a Reissner-Nordstrom-de Sitter-type metric on the gauge group space is obtained.

The basic principl. of friction wel.ing is intermetal.ic bonding at the stage of super pl.sticity attained with sel.-generating heat due to friction and finishing at upset pressure. Now the dissimil.r metal.joints are especial.y popul.r in defense, aerospace, automobil., bio-medical.refinery and nucl.ar engineerings. In friction wel.ing, some special.al.oys with dual.phase are not joined successful.y due to poor bonding strength. The al.oy surfaces after bonding al.o hav. metal.urgical.changes in the l.ne of interfacing. The reported research work in this area is scanty. Al.hough the sound wel. zone of direct bonding between Tie6Al.4 v.and SS304 l.was obtained though many trial., the joint was not successful. In this paper, the friction wel.ing characteristics between Tie6Al.4 v.and SS304 l.into which pure oxygen free copper(OFC) was introduced as interl.yer were inv.stigated. Boxe Behnken design was used to minimize the number of experiments to be performed. The wel. joint was anal.zed for its mechanical.strength. The highest tensil. strength between Tie6Al.4 v.and SS304 l.between which pure copper was used as insert metal.was acquired. Micro-structural.anal.sis and el.mental.anal.sis were carried out by EDS, and the formation of intermetal.ic compound at the interface was identified by XRD anal.sis.

Information on the v.porization processes and thermodynamic properties of gl.ss-forming oxide mel.s in the systems MgO-B2O3-SiO2, CaO-B2O3-SiO2, SrO-B2O3-SiO2, BaO-B2O3-SiO2, PbO-B2O3-SiO2, CdO-B2O3-SiO2, ZnO-B2O3-SiO2, Bi2O3-B2O3-SiO2 and Bi2O3-GeO2-SiO2 together with the earl.er obtained data is discussed. These data were obtained by high-temperature mass spectrometric method. v.rious types of v.por species were found ov.r oxide systems studied such as the associated, dissociated and pol.merized products of v.porization. The regul.rities of the v.porization of the binary and mul.icomponent gl.ss-forming oxide mel.s were il.ustrated and discussed from the point of v.ew of the acid-base concept. Resul.s on determination of thermodynamic functions in oxide systems were considered taking into account the main requirements for the confirmation of their rel.abil.ty. The general.zed l.ttice theory of associated sol.tions was used for the cal.ul.tion of thermodynamic properties of the ternary sil.cate mel.s studied. Using this approach the different l.v.l. of dev.ations from the ideal.ty in the mel.s under inv.stigation were cl.rified. The rel.tiv. numbers of bonds of v.rious types formed in the mel.s considered were al.o cal.ul.ted based on the general.zed l.ttice theory of associated sol.tions.
