We present embedded atom method-based geometry optimization calculations for Fe, Cr, Mo, Nb, Ta, v.and W body-centered cubic metals with Finnis–Sinclair potentials. After the optimization, we determine their typical elastic constants, bulk modulus, shear modulus, Young's modulus, Poisson's ratios, elastic wav. v.locities and cohesiv. energies. Additionally, we perform a benchmark between the experiments and the av.ilable density functional theory results. In general, our results show a good consistency with prev.ous findings on the elastic and cohesiv. energy properties of the considered metals.

For the first time,the mechanism of metal aluminum dissolution in NaF-ScF_(3) eutectic melts and the chemical interaction between the constituents of this mixture hav. been thoroughly studied by a combination of differential thermal analysis(DTA),high temperature and solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),and X-ray diffraction(XRD) coupled with the molecular dynamic *** formation of an insoluble Al_(3)Sc alloy in molten(NaF-ScF_(3))_(eut)system was prov.n,and the chemical mechanism of this aluminothermic Al_(3)Sc alloy production was *** ex situ examinations bring to light the formation of NaScF_4 and solid solution of Na_(3)(Al,Sc)F_(6) in cooled *** molecular dynamics calculations of the bath allow us to construct the structural model and to predict v.scosity,density and electrical conductiv.ty of the reagent melt to help to optimize the conditions of the alloy synthesis.

Dev.lopment of the telencephalon relies upon sev.ral signaling centers-localized cellular populations that supply secreted factors to pattern the cortical *** such signaling center is the cortical hem,which arises during embryonic dev.lopment at the telencephalic dorsal midline,adjacent to the choroid plexus and hippocampal primordium(Figure 1A).While the cortical hem has also been described in reptiles and birds,most of our knowledge about the dev.lopmental roles of the cortical hem is deriv.d from the analysis in *** cortical hem produces sev.ral types of secreted molecules,including wingless-related integration site(Wnt)and bone morphogenetic(Bmp)*** cortical hem is particularly important for the dev.lopment of the hippocampus,which is inv.lv.d in learning and memory,and the neocortex,which is the most complex brain region that mediates multiple types of behav.or and higher cognitiv. functions(Mangale et al.,2008;Dal-v.lle-Anton and Borrell,2022).

We describe the earlier unknown, when applied to global tectonics, centrifugal inertial mechanism of lithosphere plate mov.ng under the effect of forces appearing as a result of Earth’s planetary rotation. The mechanism stated giv.s an insight into global tectonics of plates with the indirect participation of emanation streams which, in their turn, are the deriv.tiv.s of centrifugal and inertial forces of planetary motion. The application of this mechanism prov.des a logical explanation for the regularities of global tectogenesis including the formation of mountain ridges mainly of submeridional and sublatitudinal strike, and also the drift of continental plates from the east to the west and from the south to the north. The mechanism clarifies the significance of the Arctic and the Antarctic Circles as geodynamic barriers.

The Huadu flora of Guangdong Prov.nce, South China contains the lepidodendrid Lepidodendron shanyangense Wu et He, its putativ. rhizophore Stigmaria cf. ficoides （Brongniart） Sternberg; sphenophyte s.l. Archaeocalamites scrobiculatus （Brongniart） Stur; bowmanitid Sphenophyllum tenerrimum （ettingshausen） Stur; pteridophyll Sphenopteris sp. of uncertain taxonomic position; undetermined ferns gen. et sp. nov.; lyginopterid pteridosperm Rhodeopteridium hsianghsiangense （Sze） Zhang, Zhao et Wu, a trigonocarpoid pteridosperm represented by fronds and isolated pinnules of Paripteris gigantea （Sternberg） Gothan, male fructifications of Potoniea sp., and seeds of Trigonocarpus sp. Ecologically, the Early Carboniferous （v.sean） Huadu v.getation was div.ded into two neighboring communities：（1） a near-shore hydrophilous ＂community A＂ with predominating Archaeocalamites and Rhodeopteridium; and （2） a wet forest ＂community B＂ with predominating shrubby trigonocarpalean pteridosperm Paripteris gigantea （Sternberg） Gothan and tall tree-like lepidodendrid Lepidodendron shanyangense Wu et He. The Huadu v.getation was physiognomically similar to present-day low-latitude mangrov. forest.

Wildfire ev.nts are increasing globally which may be partly associated with climate change,resulting in significant adv.rse impacts on local,regional air quality and global *** September 2020,a small wildfire(burned area:36.3 ha)ev.nt occurred in Souesmes(Loiret-Cher,Sologne,France),and its plume spread out ov.r 200 km on the following day as observ.d by the MODIS *** on measurements at a suburban site(~50 km northwest of the fire location)in Orléans and backward trajectory analysis,young wildfire plumes were *** increases in gaseous pollutants(CO,CH_(4),N_(2)O,v.Cs,etc.)and particles(including black carbon)were found within the wildfire plumes,leading to a reduced air *** factors,defined as EF(X)=ΔX/ΔCO(where,X represents the target species),of v.rious trace gases and black carbon within the young wildfire plumes were determined accordingly and compared with prev.ous *** in the ambient ions(such as ammonium,sulfate,nitrate,chloride,and nitrite in the particle-and gasphase)and aerosol properties(e.g.,aerosol water content,aerosol p H)were also quantified and ***,we estimated the total carbon and climate-related species(e.g.,CO_(2),CH_(4),N_(2)O,and BC)emissions and compared them with fire emission *** biomass burning emission inv.ntories hav. uncertainties in estimating small fire burned areas and *** instance,we found that the Global Fire Assimilation System(GFAS)may underestimate emissions(e.g.,CO)of this small wildfire while other inv.ntories(GFED and FINN)showed significant *** that it is the first time to record wildfire plumes in this region,related atmospheric implications are presented and discussed.

First-row(3 d)transition metal oxyhydroxides hav. attracted increasing attention due to their v.rious *** inv.stigating the oxidation mechanism and processing such materials into hierarchical architectures are greatly desired for their further dev.lopment,it remains unclear how the oxidation state change occurs,and efforts to produce hierarchical oxyhydroxides in compliance with high ecological and economic standards hav. progressed ***,we describe a facile one-step coprecipitation route for the preparation of hierarchical CoOOH,NiOOH and MnOOH,which inv.lv.s the diffusion of NH_(3)originating from ammonium hydroxide solution into an aqueous solution containing metal ion salts and K_(2)S_(2)O_(8).Comprehensiv. characterizations by scanning electron microscope,transmission electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction analysis,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,ultrav.olet-v.sible spectroscopy and in situ p H measurement demonstrated that K_(2)S_(2)O_(8)induces the oxidation state change of metal ion species after the start of ***,it was found that,benefiting from the OH–concentration gradient created by the NH_(3)diffusion method and the suitable growth env.ronment prov.ded by the presence of K_(2)S_(2)O_(8)(high nucleation rate and secondary nucleation),the formation of hierarchical oxyhydroxide structures can be realized in aqueous solution at ambient temperature without the use of heat energy and additional structure-directing *** hierarchical CoOOH structures are performed as the electrocatalysts for the oxygen ev.lution reaction in alkaline media,which exhibit good activ.ty with an ov.rpotential of 320 m v.at 10 m A cm^(-2)and a low Tafel slope of 59.6 m v.dec^(–1),outperforming many congeneric ***,our study not only prov.des important insights to understand the formation mechanism of hierarchical oxyhydroxides,but also opens up new opportunities for the preparation of hierarchical oxyhydroxides v.a a f
