Inhibition Effects of Chloroquinolines on Corrosion of Mild Steel in Hydrochloric Acid Solution

The corrosion inhibition efficiencies of four compounds namely N-[（1E）-（2-chloroquinolin-3-yl）methylene]-N-phenylamine（CQMA）,N-（1E）-（2-chloroquinolin-3-yl）methylene]-N-（4-fluorophenyl）amine（CQMFA）,N-（4-chloro phenyl）-N-[（1E）-（2-chloroquinolin-3-yl）methylene]amine（CQMCA）,and N-（4-bromo phenyl）-N-[（1E）-（2-chloroquinolin-3-yl）methylene]amine（CQMbA）on mild steel corrosion in hydrochloric acid media were investigated using mass loss,potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance *** all the studied inhibitors the inhibition efficiency values were found to increase with increasing concentration up to 5.00×10-4 mol·*** electron microscopic technique showed the formation of a thick film on the steel surface in the presence of inhibitors.

The enzyme leukotriene A4 (LTA4) plays an important role as precursor of slow reactive substances as LTC4, LTD4, and LTE4. It is an attractive target for molecular modeling and QSAR study. Our effort is mainly focused on exploring the SAR for inhibitors of the LTA4 hydrolase through docking study, pharmacophore modeling and molecular descriptor study. The binding of these small molecules on LTA4 hydrolase enzyme was described by the models developed on 2D molecular descriptors, with good predictive power (39 compounds, 6 descriptors, r2 0.98, SEE 0.167, F-value 268.53, q2 0.90, r2adj 0.97, P-value bable binding conformation of these analogues and exploring the SAR for the compounds. The novel pharmacophore represents the ligand features that are involved in interactions with the target protein, as well as the space around the ligand occupied by the protein. The efforts are aimed to discover the SAR for the inhibitors of LTA4 hydrolase through techniques of QSAR, docking and pharmacophore.

To ensure a reliable operation of the 2.5 MW gas turbine engine (GTE- 2.5) with the inlet gas temperature TIT = 1623 K, studies were performed over the thermal state of the nozzle guide vanes and rotor blades with the temperatures, rates and flows of the working media and cooling air simulating all the potential turbine stage operating duties. The steady state and thermal-cyclic tests having been accomplished, there was no visible defect on the rotor blades and the nozzle vanes. Afterwards, they survived the endurance tests at the rated cooling. Therefore, the functionality of the shell thin-wall hybrid nozzle vanes and rotor blades under the variable operating duties of the gas turbine at the 'shock' and 'cyclic' loads of the working media temperature variations has been demonstrated.

by X-ray analysis, TEM and SEM methods the phase composition, microstructure, and deviation from stoichiometric composition were investigated for the Ni3Al intermetallic compound obtained by cast and self-propagation high-temperature synthesis under compression with followed homogenization anneal, with the Al concentration being 24.0 and 25.0 at. pct with and without b (0.5 at. pct). It was discovered that in SHS intermetallic alloys an average local deviation from stoichiometric composition is significantly more than in the cast alloy. Dependence of the local deviation from the stoichiometric composition on the distance has a zig zag nature at the level of the grain groups. Deviation from the stoichiometric composition at the boundaries of the general type is less than at the boundaries of the special type. When the intensity of boundary migrations of the general type decreases, the degree of deviation from the stoichiometric composition increases. There is correlation between the solubility of b in the crystalline lattice of the Ni3Al phase and the value of the deviation from the stoichiometric composition in the grains. When the b concentration in a solid solution increases, the deviation from stoichiometric composition decreases.

The microscopic approach is developed for obtaining of the free energy of a superconductor based on direct calculation of the vacuum *** free energy functional of the spatially inhomogeneous superconductor in a magnetic field is obtained with help of the developed *** obtained functional is generalization of GinzburgLandau functionals for any temperature,for arbitrary spatial variations of the order parameter and for the nonlocality of a magnetic response and the order ***,the nonlocality of the magnetic response is the consequence of order parameter's *** extremals of this functional are considered in the explicit form in the low-and high-temperature limit at the condition of slowness of spatial variations of the order parameter.

A theory of an electron affinity for an ionic cluster is proposed both in a quasiclassical approach and with quantization of a polarization electric field in a nanopartiele. A critical size of the cluster regarding in formation of an electron＇s autolocalized state, dependencies of energy and radius of a polaron on a cluster＇s size are obtained by a variational method. It has been found that binding energy of the electron in the cluster depends on a eluster＇s radius but a radius of electron＇s auto-localization does not depend on the cluster＇s radius and it equals to the polaron radius in a corresponding infinity crystal. A bound state of the electron in a cluster is possible only if the duster＇s radius is more than the polaron radius.

The studies on the performance of tunnels under static loads are reported extensively in the literature but their performances under dynamic loads are *** present study highlights some of the important aspects of jointed rock tunnels during seismic *** literature review provides a shake table experimental study of a jointed rock tunnel.A Universal Distinct Element Code(UDEC)model is developed from this shake table *** model tunnel is subjected to a scaled input motion of the 1985 Mexico *** numerical results are validated systematically with the findings of the shake table ***,the developed numerical model is used to perform parametric studies to understand the effect of in-situ stress,joint angles,joint stiffness,and joint friction angle on the deformation and stability of the tunnel under the same earthquake input *** is observed that some joint angle combinations form a wedge that yields excessive deformation and subsequently a complete *** exponential decrease in deformation occurred in the tunnel as the joint stiffness *** is found that the shallow tunnels are more susceptible to damage under the action of earthquake loads.

Interaction of pulsed transversely excited atmospheric （TEA） CO2-1aser radiation at 10.6 μm with nanoporous activated carbon cloth was investigated. Activated carbon cloth of different adsorption characteristics was used. Activated carbon cloth modifications were initiated by laser pulse intensities from 0.5 to 28 MW/cm^2, depending on the cloth adsorption characteristics. CO2 laser radiation was effectively absorbed by the used activated carbon cloth and largely converted into thermal energy. The type of modification depended on laser power density, number of pulses, but mostly on material characteristics such as specific surface area. The higher the surface area of activated carbon cloth, the higher the damage threshold.

In this study, we consider charged massive scalar fields around a Kerr-Sen spacetime. The radial and angular parts of the covariant Klein-Gordon equation are solved in terms of the confluent Heun function. From the exact radial solution, we obtain the Hawking radiation spectrum and discuss its resonant frequencies. The massless case of the resonant frequencies is also examined.
