Diabetic Eye Disease(DED)is a fundamental cause of blindness in human beings in the medical *** techniques are proposed to forecast and examine the stages in Prognostication of Diabetic Retinopathy(DR).the machine Learning(mL)and the Deep Learning(DL)algorithms are the predomi-nant techniques to project and explore the images of *** though some solu-tions were adapted to challenge the cause of DR disease,still there should be an efﬁcient and accurate DR prediction to be adapted to reﬁne its *** this work,a hybrid technique was proposed for classiﬁcation and prediction of *** proposed hybrid technique consists of Ensemble Learning(EL),2 Dimensional-Conventional Neural Network(2D-CNN),transfer Learning(tL)and Correlation ***,the Stochastic Gradient Boosting(SGB)EL method was used to predict the ***,the boosting based EL method was used to predict the DR of *** 2D-CNN was applied to categorize the various stages of DR ***,the tL was adopted to transfer the clas-siﬁcation prediction to training *** this tL was applied,a new predic-tion feature was *** the experiment,the proposed technique has achieved 97.8%of accuracy in prophecies of DR images and 98%accuracy in grading of *** experiment was also extended to measure the sensitivity(99.6%)and speciﬁcity(97.3%)*** predicted accuracy rate was com-pared with existing methods.

Applying Source Parameter Imaging (SPI) to Aeromagnetic Data to Estimate Depth to magnetic Sources in the mamfe Sedimentary Basin

Aeromagnetic data over the mamfe Basin have been processed. A regional magnetic gridded dataset was obtained from the total magnetic Intensity (tmI) data grid using a 3 × 3 convolution (Hanning) filter to remove regional trends. major similarities in magnetic field orientation and intensities were observed at identical locations on both the regional and tmI data grids. From the regional and tmI gridded datasets, the residual dataset was generated which represents the very shallow geological features of the basin. Processing this residual data grid using the Source Parameter Imaging (SPI) for magnetic depth suggests that the estimated depths to magnetic sources in the basin range from about 271 m to 3552 m. the highest depths are located in two main locations somewhere around the central portion of the study area which correspond to the area with positive magnetic susceptibilities, as well as the areas extending outwards across the eastern boundary of the study area. Shallow magnetic depths are prominent towards the NW portion of the basin and also correspond to areas of negative magnetic susceptibilities. the basin generally exhibits a variation in depth of magnetic sources with high, average and shallow depths. the presence of intrusive igneous rocks was also observed in this basin. this characteristic is a pointer to the existence of geologic resources of interest for exploration in the basin.

Arterial Hypertension-Related Factors within Custodial Settings of Southern Benin in 2023

Introduction: Hypertension, a non-communicable disease, is a major public health threat worldwide, accounting for a high level of morbidity and mortality. Although it has been extensively published among the general population, further research is needed to understand the reality of hypertension within the custodial setting. this study aimed to investigate the factors associated with arterial hypertension in custodial settings in southern Benin in 2023. methods: this was a cross-sectional, descriptive, analytical study held in prisons in southern Benin from march to April 2023, involving inmates selected by two-stage random sampling. In the first stage, four prisons out of the six in the southern region of Benin were selected by simple random sampling. In the second stage, the prisoners were selected by systematic random sampling, with the sampling frame being the numbered list of eligible prisoners in each prison selected. Data collected by observation and questionnaire survey were analyzed using Stata 11 software. Hypertension was defined as systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg. Overweight was defined by a body mass index (weight/height2 (kg/m2) ≥ 25. Factors associated with hypertension were identified by multiple logistic regression, at a 5% threshold of significance. Results: Altogether 336 inmates aged 37.55 ± 1.72 years were surveyed. the prevalence of hypertension in custodial settings in southern Benin in 2023 was 31.32% (95% CI [17.06;52.57]). Associated factors were inmate age (ORa = 3.36 95% CI: [1.94;5.85]) and abnormal waist circumference (ORa = 2.61 95% CI [1.27;5.40]). Conclusion: the prevalence of arterial hypertension in prisons of southern Benin (31.32%) is high when compared with the national average (25.9% (22.5-29.3)). the ministries of the Interior and Health need to collaborate to involve inmates in preventive strategies for non-communicable diseases, including hypertension.

the paper presents fabrication and characterization of spark plasma sintered textured(001) mgB_(2)with a record degree of orientation of about 40% and 16% by high-energy ultra-sonication and slip casting in high magnetic field(12 t) and 0 t magnetic field, *** characterization was performed by X-ray diffraction, and electron microscopy. the analysis revealed unexpected preferred orientation also in the mgO secondary phase due to the epitaxial growth of(111) mgO on(001) mgB_(2). the influence of oriented microstructure on the superconducting characteristics expressed by critical current density(J_(c)), irreversibility field(H_(irr)), and on the pinning properties were assessed. High anisotropy versus sample orientation in applied magnetic field, H, was observed for J_(c), Hirr, pinning activation energy(U^(*))extracted from relaxation measurements. the zero-field critical current, J_(c0)and F_(p),maxare weakly or not dependent on the direction of H,while the other indicated parameters are significantly influenced. Results enable control of superconducting parameters by further optimization of microstructure through mgB_(2) texturing as a novel and viable strategy for development of bulk mgB2with enhanced properties when taking advantage of its anisotropy.

BACkGROUND Pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD)is a technically complex operation,with a re-latively high risk for *** ability to rescue patients from post-PD complications is as a recognized quality *** protocols were instituted at our low volume facility in the year *** to document the rate of rescue from post-PD complications with tailored protocols in place as a measure of *** A retrospective audit was performed to collect data from patients who experienced major post-PD complications at a low volume pancreatic surgery unit in trinidad and tobago between January 1,2013 and June 30,***-dardized definitions from the International Study Group of Pancreatic Surgery were used to define post-PD complications,and the modified Clavien-Dindo classification was used to classify post-PD *** Over the study period,113 patients at a mean age of 57.5 years(standard deviation[SD]±9.23;range:30-90;median:56)underwent PDs at this *** complications were recorded in 33(29.2%)patients at a mean age of 53.8 years(SD:±7.9).twenty-nine(87.9%)patients who experienced major morbidity were salvaged after aggre-ssive treatment of their ***(3.5%)died from bleeding pseudoaneurysm(1),septic shock secondary to a bile leak(1),anastomotic leak(1),and myocardial infarction(1).there was a significantly greater salvage rate in patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists scores≤2(93.3%vs 25%;P=0.0024).CONCLUSION this paper adds to the growing body of evidence that volume alone should not be used as a marker of quality for patients requiring *** low volumes at our facility,we demonstrated that 87.9%of patients were rescued from major *** attributed this to several factors including development of rescue protocols,the competence of the pancreatic surgery teams and continuous,and adaptive learning by the entire institution,cul-minating in the development of tailored peri-pancreatectomy protoc

the dibaryon concept for nuclear force is presented,assuming that the attraction between nucleons at medium distances is mainly due to the s-channel exchange of an intermediate six-quark(dibaryon)*** construct the respective NN interaction model,a microscopic six-quark description of the NN system is used,in which symmetry aspects play a special *** is shown that the NN interaction in all important partial waves can be described by the superposition of long-range t-channel one-pion exchange and s-channel exchange by an intermediate *** model developed in this study provides a good description of both elastic phase shifts and inelasticities of NN scattering in all S,P,D,and F partial waves at energies from zero to 600-800 mev and even *** parameters of the intermediate six-quark states,corresponding to the best fit of NN scattering data,are found to be consistent with the parameters of the known dibaryon resonances in those NN partial configurations,where their existence has been experimentally *** for new dibaryon states are given as well.

variation in the Flaring Potential of Different Sunspot Groups During Different Phases of Solar Cycles 23 and 24

In this present study,we have analyzed different types of X-ray solar flares(C,m,and X classes)coming out from different classes of sunspot groups(SSGs).the data which we have taken under this study cover the duration of 24 yr from 1996 to *** this,we observed a total of 15015 flares(8417 in SC-23 and 6598 in SC-24)emitted from a total of 33780 active regions(21746 in SC-23 and 12034 in SC-24)with sunspot *** defined the flaring potential or flare-production potential as the ratio of the total number of flares produced from a particular type of SSG to the total number of the same-class SSGs observed on the solar *** we studied yearly changes in the flaring potential of different mcIntosh class groups of sunspots in different phases of SC-23 and *** addition,we investigated yearly variations in the potential of producing flares by different SSGs(A,B,C,D,E,F,and H)during different phases(ascending,maximum,descending,and minimum)of SC-23 and *** are our findings:(1)D,E,and F SSGs have the potential of producing flares≥8 times greater than A,B,C and H SSGs;(2)the larger and more complex D,E,and F SSGs produced nearly 80%of flares in SC-23 and 24;(3)the A,B,C and H SSGs,which are smaller and simpler,produced only 20%of flares in SC-23 and 24;(4)the biggest and most complex SSGs of F-class have flaring potential 1.996 and 3.443 per SSG in SC-23 and 24,respectively.(5)the potential for producing flares in each SSG is higher in SC-24 than in SC-23,although SC-24 is a weaker cycle than SC-23.(6)the alterations in the number of flares(C+m+X)show different time profiles than the alterations in sunspot numbers during SC-23 and 24,with several peaks.(7)the SSGs of C,D,E,and H-class have the highest flaring potential in the descending phase of both SC-23 and 24.(8)F-class SSGs have the highest flaring potential in the descending phase of SC-23 but also in the maximum phase of SC-24.

In recent years,the Internet of things(Iot)has gradually developed applications such as collecting sensory data and building intelligent services,which has led to an explosion in mobile data ***,with the rapid development of artificial intelligence,semantic communication has attracted great attention as a new communication ***,for Iot devices,however,processing image information efficiently in real time is an essential task for the rapid transmission of semantic *** the increase of model parameters in deep learning methods,the model inference time in sensor devices continues to *** contrast,the Pulse Coupled Neural Network(PCNN)has fewer parameters,making it more suitable for processing real-time scene tasks such as image segmentation,which lays the foundation for real-time,effective,and accurate image ***,the parameters of PCNN are determined by trial and error,which limits its *** overcome this limitation,an Improved Pulse Coupled Neural Networks(IPCNN)model is proposed in this *** IPCNN constructs the connection between the static properties of the input image and the dynamic properties of the neurons,and all its parameters are set adaptively,which avoids the inconvenience of manual setting in traditional methods and improves the adaptability of parameters to different types of *** segmentation results demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed self-adaptive parameter setting method of IPCNN on the gray images and natural images from the matlab and Berkeley Segmentation *** IPCNN method achieves a better segmentation result without training,providing a new solution for the real-time transmission of image semantic information.
