Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based m.terials have drawn m.ch attention from.the therm.electric com.unity due to their excellent therm.electric perform.nce near room.***,the stability of existing n-type Bi_(2)(Te,Se)_(3)m.terials is still low due to the evaporation energy of Se(37.70 kJ m.l^(-1))being m.ch lower than that of Te(52.55 kJ m.l^(-1)).The evaporated Se from.the m.terial causes problem. in interconnects of the m.dule while degrading the ***,we have developed a new approach for the high-perform.nce and stable n-type Se-free Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based m.terials bym.xim.zing the electronic transport while suppressing the phonon transport,at the sam. *** generated FeTe_(2)nanoinclusions within the m.trix during the m.lt-spinning and subsequent spark plasm. sintering is the key to sim.ltaneous engineering of the power factor and lattice therm.l *** nanoinclusions change the ferm. level of the m.trix while intensifying the phonon scattering via *** a fine-tuning of the ferm. level with Cu doping in the n-type Bi_(2)Te_(3)-0.02FeTe_(2),a high power factor of∼41×10^(-4)Wm.(-1)K^(-2)with an average zT of 1.01 at the tem.erature range 300-470 K are achieved,which are com.arable to those obtained in n-type Bi_(2)(Te,Se)_(3)*** proposed approach enables the fabrication of high-perform.nce n-type Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based m.terials without having to include volatile Se elem.nt,which guarantees the stability of the ***,widespread application of therm.electric devices utilizing the n-type Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based m.terials will becom. possible.

Im.lem.nting into GIS a Tool to Autom.te the Calculation of Physiographic Param.ters of River Basins

The physiographic characterization of a basin is a fundam.ntal elem.nt as it defines the hydrological behavior of that basin. The present work deals with the developm.nt and im.lem.ntation of a tool that allows calculating in an autom.ted m.nner the physiographic param.ters of a basin, as well as those of the surface runoff and m.in river, besides other graphic elem.nts: hypsom.tric curve, equivalent rectangle and profile of the m.in river. Such a tool was developed under visual Basic 6 program.ing language and the spatial geographic com.onent ArcObjects by ESRI;they enabled the developm.nt of a library as a final product (.dll), which can be loaded and im.lem.nted in Arcm.p software. In the m.thodology a Conceptual m.del was established, from.which it was possible to identify the requirem.nts and m.thods to obtain the param.ters, as well as the conception and im.lem.ntation of the Logical m.del that includes the specific functions and also the input structures, processes and data output. Finally, the tool was tested with actual data from.El Caracol river basin, located in central-southern m.xico, which showed the easiness and usefulness of it, besides the effectiveness of the results, not leaving aside the tim. and resources saved by the user when characterizing a basin, com.ared with other conventional processes.

Logarithm.of a Function, a Well-Posed Inverse Problem

It poses the inverse problem.that consists in finding the logarithm.of a function. It shows that when the function is holom.rphic in a sim.ly connected dom.in , the solution at the inverse problem.exists and is unique if a branch of the logarithm.is fixed. In addition, it’s dem.nstrated that when the function is continuous in a dom.in , where is Hausdorff space and connected by paths. The solution of the problem.exists and is unique if a branch of the logarithm.is fixed and is stable;for what in this case, the inverse problem.turns out to be well-posed.

Tubuliform.silk glands were dissected from.Nephila clavipes spiders,and silk gut fibers were produced by im.ersing the glands in a m.ld acid solution and subsequent *** tensile properties of the as produced fibers were obtained through tensile tests,and the stress–strain curves were com.ared with those of naturally spun tubuliform.silk *** influence on the m.chanical properties of the fibers after im.ersion in water and drying was also *** m.crostructure of the silk guts was obtained by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).It was found that the stress–strain curves of the stretched tubuliform.silk guts concur with those of their natural counterparts(tubuliform.silk fibers).

The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of Beauveria bassiana(Bb 1205)on controlling Fusarium.oxysporum.***(Fol 17108)in tom.to plants in greenhouse *** of Bb 1205 was the m.st prom.sing am.ng the agronom.c variables and expression of the activity of the enzym.sβ-1,3-glucanases and *** of Bb 1205 occurred at a concentration of 1×108 conidia·m.−1,which was adm.nistered onto the leaves,directly into the soil and via *** with Fol 17108 occurred with 1×106 spores·m.−1,which were added directly to the *** was used for m.asuring agronom.c param.ters,nam.ly activity of chitinases andβ-1,3-glucanases in foliage and *** Bb 1205 was added to the soil,the chlorophyll index and aerial part length showed significant *** addition,it was determ.ned that root length,fresh weight of foliage,flower,and fruit count increased 82 days after inoculation(dai).Chitinase activity induced by Bb 1205 in leaves and roots of tom.to plants infected with Fol 17108 was observed when injected into the stem.at 32 dai(41.8 and 11.6-fold,respectively).Inoculation on the foliage showed a 10-fold increase ofβ-1,3-glucanases in the roots after 82 *** for leaves,a 3.8-fold increase was found when the stem.was *** the different in vivo applications,Bb 1205 activated its defenses by expressing the chitinase enzym.s andβ-1,3-glucanase,thus reducing the dam.ge caused by Fol 17108,dem.nstrating increase plant growth thereafter.

Could Grasshoppers Be a Nutritive m.al?

The nutritive value of 25 edible Orthoptera in m.xico is shown. Protein content ranges from.43.93% to 77.13% (m.x of Edible Acrididade of Puebla). Fat percentage goes from.4.22% to 34.21%. Richest species in ashes were Arphia fallax S., Sphenarium.histrio G. and Sphenarium.purpurascens Ch. with 16.5%. Energy contribution varies from.14.05 kJ to 21.88 kJ. Their am.no acids profile was com.ared with the WHO/FAO/UNU Pattern (1985). The total quantity of es-sential am.no acids that all insects species provides was superior to those signaled in the pattern. The highest quantity (53.60 g) was for Sphenarium.histrio G. Chem.cal score goes from.50% to 88%. In vitam.ns, the highest value in Thiam.ne and Riboflavine was for Sphenarium.m.gnum.m., in Niacine for Sphenarium.borrei B., in vitam.n C and for vitam.n D Acheta dom.stica L., and in vitam.n A for Periplaneta am.ricana L. In m.nerals, all species were very rich in m.gnesium. All the edible orthopterans results were com.ared with those of the m.st conventional m.xican foods used to obtain proteins. The quantity and quality of the nutrients that these edible orthopterans allows, provides a significant contribution to the nutrition of the peasants who eat them.
