As part of an ongoing inventory of the helminth parasites of freshwater fishes in Mexico, 570 individual fish were collected between Apr 2008 and Oct 2011 in 26 localities along the Cuatro Ciénegas region in Coahuila State, northern Mexico. Seventeen species of hosts, mostly corresponding to Nearctic freshwater elements, were studied. A total of 8324 individual worms were collected during this survey, representing 25 species of helminths, of which 9 were digeneans, 3 monogeneans, 3 acanthocephalans, 9 nematodes and 1 cestode. Most of the records in this checklist represent new host or locality records. The information provided in this checklist may be helpful for our understanding of the biodiversity and historical biogeography of this host-parasite system, because in the Cuatro Ciénegas region occur a Nearctic freshwater fish fauna, along with Neotropical and endemic elements, and from a biogeographical point of view, this may represent a transitional area.

Recycling solid waste in cement-based materials cannot only ease its load on the natural environment but also reduce the carbon emissions of building *** study aims to investigate the effect of recycled glass powder(RGp)on the early-age mechanical properties and autogenous shrinkage of cement pastes,where cement is replaced by 10%,20%and 30%of *** addition,the microstructure and nano-mechanical properties of cement paste with different RGp content and water to binder(W/B)ratio were also evaluated using SEM,MIp and nanoindentation *** results indicate that the early-age autogenous shrinkage decreases with the increase of RGp content and W/B *** the mechanical strength deteriorates due to the addition of RGp,it can be compensated by reducing the W/B *** the addition of RGp increases the total porosity of the hardened paste,it reduces the small size porosity(proportions of different types of C-S-H are changed,and the volume fraction of porosity is increased,but that of hydration products of cement paste is reduced due to the incorporation of *** its pozzolanic activity,the mitigated shrinkage deformation that RGp is generating in cement pastes is encouraging for its use as a novel supplementary cementitious material that reduces the early-age cracking risk of cement-based ***,the life cycle assessments indicate that the RGp-cement component is an economical and eco-friendly novel engineering material.

Atlantic salmon(Salmo salar)fed a carbohydrate-rich diet exhibit suboptimal growth performance,along with other metabolic *** is well known that gut microbes play a pivotal role in influencing metabolism of the host,and these microbes can be modified by the *** main goal of the present study was to determine the effect of feeding graded levels of digestible carbohydrates to Atlantic salmon on the distal intestine digesta microbiota at 3 sampling times(i.e.,weeks 4,8 and 12),during a 12-week trial.A low carbohydrate-to-high protein diet(LC/Hp,0%wheat starch),a medium carbohydrate-tomedium protein diet(MC/Mp,15%wheat starch)or a high carbohydrate-to-low protein diet(HC/Lp,30%wheat starch)was fed to triplicate fish tanks(27 to 28 fish per tank).We performed an in-depth characterization of the distal intestine digesta ***,growth parameters,liver histology and the expression of genes involved in hepatic neolipogenesis in fish were *** fed a HC/Lp diet showed greater hepatosomatic and viscerosomatic indexes(p=0.026 and p=0.018,respectively),lower final weight(p=0.005),weight gain(p=0.003),feed efficiency(p=0.033)and growth rate(p=0.003)compared with fish fed the LC/Hp ***,feeding salmon a high digestible carbohydrate diet caused greater lipid vacuolization,steatosis index(p=0.007)and expression of fatty acid synthase(fas)and delta-6 fatty acyl desaturase(d6fad)(p=0.001 and p=0.001,respectively)in the liver compared with fish fed the LC/Hp ***,the major impact of feeding a carbohydrate-rich diet to Atlantic salmon in beta diversity of distal intestine digesta microbiota was observed at week 4(HC/Lp vs MC/Mp and HC/Lp vs LC/Hp;p=0.007 and p=0.008,respectively)and week 8(HC/Lp vs MC/Mp;p=0.04),no differences between experimental groups were detected after 12 weeks of ***,at the end of the trial,there was a negative correlation between lactic acid bacteria(LAB)members,including Leuconostoc and Lactobacil

The adsorption capacities for the removal of hexavalent chromium from aqueous solutions by six carbon nanomaterials have been evaluated. Single-walled and multi-walled carbon nanotubes as received and after oxidation treatment, graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide are the materials with different dimension and functionalization compared in this research. Carbon nanotubes have been modified using hydrogen peroxide as oxidizing agent under microwave radiation. The oxidation treatment on carbon nanotubes has a positive effect increasing the adsorbent–adsorbate interaction. Rate-controlling mechanisms and equilibrium data are analyzed using non-linear models. Non-linear method is proposed as the most suitable method for determining the kinetic and equilibrium parameters. The values of adsorption energy(E) obtained from the Dubinin–Radushkevich isotherm,have been found around 0.371 and 0.870 k J·mol-1, indicating physical adsorption. Therefore, the pseudo-second order model represents better the kinetic experimental data. The results show that the Langmuir isotherm provides a slightly better fit to the experimental data compared with the Freundlich isotherm, indicating homogeneous distribution of active sites on carbon nanomaterials and monolayer adsorption. The separation factors RLare found in the range of 0–1, suggesting that the adsorption process is suitable for all adsorbents. The mechanisms for hexavalent chromium removal have been proposed as electrostatic interactions and hydrogen bonding.

An experimental unit was built which was located in the vicinity of the domestic wastewater treatment plant of the Municipality of San Marcos in the Department of Carazo. Said unit consisted of two welded metal barrels with a total height of 1.8 m and a diameter of 0.90 m, likewise, this unit comprised three functional zones;the first or input area composed of a collection unit, a driving unit, a flow control unit, and two distribution units;the second or packed zone, which is the axis of the system because it is there where bacterial growth takes place and where the removal of organic matter takes place;and an outlet composed of pvC pipe [1]. The main objective of this work was to determine how efficient a rocky filter turns out to be, using stabilization pond effluent as a post-treatment unit using red concrete as a filter medium. The study consisted in carrying out laboratory tests on water samples taken from the influent and effluent of a filter made up of red rock, as a filter medium, in order to determine the percentage of organic matter removal efficiency that it has used a hydraulic retention time of 19 hours, 15 hours, and 12 hours [2]. Among the aspects to be considered in the experimental study was the characterization of the effluent from the treatment system of San Marco, Carazo, to determine the quality of water that will be of interest to the study [3]. In this stage, four composite samplings were carried out, two of 12 hours and two of 24 hours, in which physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters were analyzed. Likewise, to determine the efficiency of the filter, the same parameters considered in the characterization of the lagoon effluent were analyzed, obtaining removal efficiencies of up to 55.53% in organic matter, and 64.60% in suspended solids for a hydraulic retention time of 19 hours;In the same way, the efficiency of the filter was carried out for retention times of 15 hours and 12 hours, in which organic matter removals of 67.84% an

鉴于析氢反应(HER)与制氢技术直接相关,而氢气是氢经济中的能量载体,因此,深入理解析氢反应(HER)速率的控制参数非常重要.前期关于碱性介质中Ni(OH)_(2)修饰的pt(111)上激光诱导温度跃迁(LITJ)实验结果已经揭示了界面电场对HER速率有较大影响.推测认为,少量的Ni(OH)_(2)会使电极的零自由电荷电势向析氢开始的方向负移,从而导致电场减弱.为进一步验证这一推测,本文将研究对象扩展到Fe(OH)_(2)修饰的pt(111)表面,对其伏安特性进行分析.伏安图在析氢区域显示出一个峰,表明修饰层发生Fe(Ⅱ)到Fe(0)的转变.与库仑分析结果一致,OH吸附区的伏安特征与Fe物种被氧化至+3价有关.LITJ结果显示,亲氧的Fe物质与水分子之间存在强烈的相互作用,其使熵最大处的电势远离HER的开始电势.因此,最具催化性的表面应该是Fe覆盖度最低的表面.

The use of signals of different frequencies determines the geometrical deviation with respect to the optical axes of a given beam. This angle can be determined by Sympletic Map (SM), a powerful and simple mathematical tool for the characterization and construction of images in Geometrical Optics. The Sympletic Map constitutes a Lie Group, with an algebra associated: the Lie Algebra. In general, the SM can be expressed as an infinite series, where each term corresponds to different contributions produced by the optical devices that constitute the optical system (lenses, apertures, bandwidth cutoff, etc.). The level of correction to be performed on the image to recover the original object is clear and controllable by SM. This formalism can be extended easily to physical optics to describe diffraction and interference phenomena.

The impact of lag effects produced by disturbances on primary production has been a major concern among ecologists during the last *** and extreme climatic events are imposing drastic reductions in radial growth of trees as evidenced in tree-rings series Dendrochronological samples are obtained at tree level but analyzed at an aggregated scale(i.e.,mean chronologies),although aggregating tree-ring chronology on a regional scale may reduce the possibility of studying the variability of individual tree response to drought,by amplifying the average population ***,we conducted experimental research in which 370 trees of 5 species were analyzed to assess the potential statistical and scaling issues that may occur when using regressionbased methods to analyze ecosystem responses to *** legacy effects were quantified using individual and aggregated ***,lag effects were validated using confidence and prediction intervals to identify values falling outside the certainty of the climate-growth model Individual scale legacy effects contrasted with confidence intervals were commonly distributed across species but were scarce when compared with prediction *** analysis of aggregated scale legacies detected significant growth reductions when validated using prediction intervals;however,individual scale legacy lag effects were not *** finding directly contrasts the results obtained when using an aggregated *** results provide empirical evidence on how aggregating ecological data to infer processes that emerge from an individual scale can lead to distorted *** therefore encourage the use of individual based statistical and ecological procedures to analyze tree rings as a means of further understanding the ecosystem responses to disturbances.
