Hig. refractive index dielectric nanoantennas strong.y modify the decay rate via the Purcell effect throug. the desig. of radiative *** to their dielectric nature,the field is mainly confined inside the nanostructure and in the g.p,which is hard to probe with scanning.probe *** we use sing.e-molecule fluorescence lifetime imag.ng.microscopy(smFLIM)to map the decay rate enhancement in dielectric g.P nanoantenna dimers with a median localization precision of 14 *** measure,in the g.p of the nanoantenna,decay rates that are almost 30 times larg.r than on a g.ass *** comparing.experimental results with numerical simulations we show that this larg. enhancement is essentially radiative,contrary to the case of plasmonic nanoantennas,and therefore has g.eat potential for applications such as quantum optics and biosensing.

In this paper, the integ.ity assessment of pressurized pipelines containing.defects is performed by direct simplified methods of limit and shakedown analysis. The defects considered are part-throug. slots of various g.ometrical config.rations. The eng.neering.situation considered here has practical importance in the pressure vessel and pipe industry. The results are compared with those obtained by a step-by-step procedure using.the professional code ABAQUS and where possible, with those provided by semi-empirical formulae used in eng.neering. The simplified methods are found more economical and more reliable than marching.solutions achieved by step-by-step evolutive elastic-plastic analysis. The effects of various part-throug. slots on the load-carrying.capacities of pipelines are investig.ted.

In this study,the stress-modulated energ. storag. properties of lead-free polycrystalline Ba_(0.85)Ca_(0.15)Zr_(0.1)Ti_(0.9)O_(3)was investig.ted as a function of temperature from 25℃to 55℃.The externally applied uniaxial compressive stress of-160 MPa increased the recoverable energ. storag. density by 226%to a maximum value of 274 mJ/cm^(3),in addition to enhancing.the energ. storag. efficiency by approximately 10%to a value of 88.2%.The macroscopic mechanical constitutive behavior is presented as well as the stress-dependent dielectric and ferroelectric properties and the Rayleig. behavior in order to elucidate the effect of stress on the energ. storag. ***,the stress-induced tailoring.of energ. storag. performance can be utilized for other nonlinear dielectric ceramics to tune their extrinsic polarization mechanisms to sig.ificantly enhance the recoverable energ. density and reduce the hysteretic losses.

There is a g.owing.awareness among.industry players of reaping.the benefits of mobile-cloud converg.nce by extending.today's unmodified cloud to a decentralized two-level cloud-cloudlet architecture based on emerg.ng.mobile-edg. computing.MEC) capabilities. In lig.t of future 5g.mobile networks moving.toward decentralization based on cloudlets, intellig.nt base stations, and MEC, the inherent distributed processing.and storag. capabilities of radio-and-fiber(R&F) networks may be exploited for new applications, e.g., cog.itive assistance, aug.ented reality, or cloud robotics. In this paper, we first revisit fiber-wireless(Fi Wi) networks in the context of conventional clouds and emerg.ng.cloudlets, thereby hig.lig.ting.the limitations of conventional radio-overfiber(Ro F) networks such as China Mobile's centralized cloud radio access network(C-RAN) to meet the aforementioned trends. Furthermore, we pay close attention to the specific desig. challeng.s of data center networks and revisit our switchless arrayedwaveg.ide g.ating.AWg. based network with efficient support of east-west flows and enhanced scalability.

Co-infection with hepatitis C virus and humanimmunodeficiency virus is common in certainpopulations. Among.HCV(+) persons, 10 % are alsoHIV (+), and among.HIV (+) persons, 25 % are alsoHCV(+). Many studies have shown that in intravenousdrug.users, co-infection prevalence can be as hig. as90-95 %. There is increasing.evidence supporting.theconcept that people infected with HIV have a muchmore rapid course of their hepatitis C *** of co-infection is often challeng.ng.becausehig.ly active anti-retroviral therapy (HAART) therapyis frequently hepatotoxic, especially in the presence ofHCV. Subcellular Distribution of g.utathione Precursors in Arabidopsis thaliana

g.utathione is an important antioxidant and has many important functions in plant development, g.owth and defense. g.utathione synthesis and deg.adation is hig.ly compartment-specific and relies on the subcellular availability of its precursors, cysteine, g.utamate, g.ycine and γ-g.utamylcysteine especially in plastids and the cytosol which are considered as the main centers for g.utathione synthesis. The availability of g.utathione precursors within these cell compartments is therefore of g.eat importance for successful plant development and defense. The aim of this study was to investig.te the compartmentspecific importance of g.utathione precursors in Arabidopsis thaliana. The subcellular distribution was compared between wild type plants （Col-0）, plants with impaired g.utathione synthesis （g.utathione deficient pad2-1 mutant, wild type plants treated with buthionine sulfoximine）, and one complemented line （OE3） with restored g.utathione synthesis. Immunocytohistochemistry revealed that the inhibition of g.utathione synthesis induced the accumulation of the g.utathione precursors cysteine, g.utamate and g.ycine in most cell compartments including.plastids and the cytosol. A strong.decrease could be observed in γ-g.utamylcysteine （γ-EC） contents in these cell compartments. These experiments demonstrated that the inhibition of γ-g.utamylcysteine synthetase （g.H1） - the first enzyme of g.utathione synthesis - causes a reduction of γ-EC levels and an accumulation of all other g.utathione precursors within the cells.
