The prime reason for proposing the work is designing and developing a low-cost guided wireless unmanned Ground Vehicle(uGV)for use in hospitals for assistance in contactless drug delivery in COVID-19 *** Robot is designed as per the requirements and technical specifications required for the healthcare *** a detailed survey and tests of various mechanisms for steering and structure of uGV,the best mechanism preferred for steering articulated and for body structure is hexagonal as this approach provides decent performance and stability required to achieve the *** uGV has multiple sensors onboard,such as a Camera,GPS module,Hydrogen,and Carbon Gas sensor,Raindrop sensor,and an ultrasonic range finder on uGV for the end-user to understand the circumferential environment and status of *** data and control options are displayed on any phone or computer present in the Wi-Fi zones only if the user login is ***-32 microcontroller is the prime component utilized to establish reliable wireless communication between the user and *** days,the demand for robot vehicles in hospitals has increased rapidly due to pandemic outbreaks as using this makes a contactless delivery of the medicinal *** systems are designed specifically to assist humans in the current situation where life can be at risk for healthcare *** addition,the robot vehicle is suitable for many other applications like supervision,sanitization,carrying medicines and medical equipment for delivery,delivery of food and used dishes,laundry,garbage,laboratory samples,and additional supply.

In the evolving situation of highly infectious coronavirus,the number of confirmed cases in India has largely increased,which has resulted in a shortage of health care ***,the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare-Government of India issued guidelines for the‘Home isolation of COVID-19 positive patients’methodology for asymptomatic patients or with mild *** home isolation,the patients are required to monitor and record the pulse rate,body temperature,and oxygen saturation three times a *** paper proposes a system that can request data from the required sensor to measure the pulse rate,body temperature,or oxygen *** requested data is sensed by the respective sensor placed near the patients’body and sent to the CAN data logger over the CAN *** CAN data logger live streams the sensor values and stores the same to an excel sheet along with details like the patient’s name,patient’s age,and *** physicians can then access this information.

Latent fingerprints are the unintentional impressions found at the crime scenes and are considered crucial evidence in criminal *** enforcement and forensic agencies have been using latent fingerprints as testimony in ***,since the latent fingerprints are accidentally leftover on different surfaces,the lifted prints look ***,a tremendous amount of research is being carried out in automatic latent fingerprint identification to improve the overall fingerprint recognition *** a result,there is an ever-growing demand to develop reliable and robust *** this regard,we present a comprehensive literature review of the existing methods utilized in latent fingerprint acquisition,segmentation,quality assessment,enhancement,feature extraction,and matching ***,we provide insight into different benchmark latent datasets available to perform research in this *** study highlights various research challenges and gaps by performing detailed analysis on the existing state-of-the-art segmentation,enhancement,extraction,and matching approaches to strengthen the research.

Elemental variations in glacier cryoconites of Indian Himalaya and Spitsbergen,Arctic

Cryoconite samples were collected from two different climatic domains i.e.,the Sutri Dhaka glacier,western Himalaya India and Svalbard glaciers,the Spitsbergen,Arctic,to understand the elemental source and elemental deposition *** data of geochemical analysis suggest that the Himalayan cryoconite samples accumulate higher concentrations as compared to the cryoconite samples of the Arctic *** concentration of lithophile elements(Cs,Li,Rb and u)was recorded higher in the cryoconite holes of the Himalayas,especially,in the lower to the higher parts of the glacier,whereas,lower concentrations were recorded in the Arctic *** elements in the Himalayan cryoconites are enriched in As and Bi while the Arctic cryoconite samples show a higher concentration of Bi,Pb and *** higher concentrations are responsible for influencing the ecosystem and in human health related *** elements(Co,Fe,Mn and Ni)show high concentrations in the Himalayan samples,whereas,the Arctic samples show minor variations and low elemental concentration in these elements,*** addition,a few elements,such as Ag,Mg,and Ca show higher concentration in the Himalayan glacier *** also occurs in high concentrations in Arctic glacier samples.R-mode factor analysis of the Himalayas(Arctic)samples indicate that the elements are distributed in four(three)factors,explaining 89%(90%)of the variance in their elemental *** Factor 1 suggests statistically significant positive loadings for most of the lithophile,chalcophile and siderophile elements of the "Himalayan" and the Arctic cryoconite *** sample-wise factor score distribution shows a considerable variation in the sampling locations along the glaciers of both the *** 2 and 3,demonstrate insignificant loading for most of the elements,except statistically significant positive loading in some of the elements of the both,Himalayan and Arctic "cryoconites".The higher el

The Reliability of Fibro-test in Staging Orthotopic Liver Transplant Recipients with Recurrent Hepatitis C

Background and Aims:Liver biopsy remains the gold stand-ard for staging of chronic liver disease following orthotopic liver *** assessment of fibrosis with Fibro-test(FT)is well-studied in immunocompetent populations with chronic hepatitis C virus *** aim of this study is to investigate the diagnostic value of FT in the assessment of hepatic fibrosis in the allografts of liver transplant recipients with evidence of recurrent hepatitis ***:We retro-spectively compared liver biopsies and FT performed within a median of 1 month of each other in orthotopic liver transplan-tation recipients with recurrent hepatitis ***:The study population comprised 22 patients,most of them male(19/22),and with median age of 62 *** all patients,there was at least a one-stage difference in fibrosis as assessed by liver biopsy compared to FT,while for the majority(16/22)there was at least a two-stage *** absence of correlation between the two modalities was statistically demonstrated(Mann-Whitney u test,p=0.01).In detecting significant fib-rosis(a METAVIR stage of F2 and above),an FT cut-off of 0.5 showed moderate sensitivity(77%)and negative predictive value(80%),but suboptimal specificity(61%)and positive predictive value(58%).Conclusions:In post-transplant pa-tients with recurrent hepatitis C,FT appears to be inaccurately assessing the degree of allograft fibrosis,therefore limiting its reliability as a staging tool.

Hepatitis C virus(HCV)infection affects about 170 million people worldwide and it is a major cause of liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular *** is a hepatotropic non-cytopathic virus able to persist in a great percentage of infected hosts due to its ability to escape from the immune *** damage and disease progression during HCV infection are driven by both viral and host ***,adaptive immune response carries out an essential task in controllingnon-cytopathic viruses because of its ability to recognize infected cells and to destroy them by cytopathic mechanisms and to eliminate the virus by non-cytolytic *** is able to impair this response by several means such as developing escape mutations in neutralizing antibodies and in T cell receptor viral epitope recognition sites and inducing HCV-specific cytotoxic T cell anergy and *** impair HCV-specific T cell reactivity,HCV affects effector T cell regulation by modulating T helper and Treg response and by impairing the balance between positive and negative co-stimulatory molecules and between pro-and antiapoptotic *** this review,the role of adaptive immune response in controlling HCV infection and the HCV mechanisms to evade this response are reviewed.

Minimization of Phenols and Phenolic Compounds in Pulp and Paper Industries： Biological Approaches

The liquid effluents released from several industries including the pulp and paper industries contain phenol and phenolic compounds. The hazardous phenols and their chlorinated phenolic derivatives from pulp and paper industries bear the potential to exert deleterious effects on the human health and aquatic ecosystems, if they are released untreated in the environment. Biodegradation of phenolic compounds in the effluent streams from pulp and paper industries is an important eco-friendly method for the removal of toxicity in industrial waste water, while the minimization of formation of these toxic compounds require several in-plant biotechnological techniques such as biopulping and biobleaching. Present paper reviews, the biochemical pathways involved in degradation of phenols and chlorophenols through microorganisms. Various biotechnological strategies involved in minimization and biodegradation of phenol and phenolic compounds and their related environmental engineering aspects such as utility of different bioreactor configurations have been discussed for the treatment of pulp and paper mill effluents.

First large scale application of novel Si stripixel detector in real large experiment: Si VTX in PHENIX upgrade at RHIC

2D position sensitive, single-sided Si stripixel detector was selected as the one of the two main components of the Si vertex tracker (Si SVX) in the upgraded PHENIX detector at RHIC (relativistic heavy ion collider) in Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL). This is the first large scale application of the novel Si stripixel detector in a real large experiment after many years of research and development at BNL. The first and second prototype fabrication runs of the SVX stripixel detectors were carried out successfully in BNL’s Si detector development and processing Lab. The processing of these stripixel detectors is similar to that for the standard single-sided strip detectors: one-sided processing, single implant for the pixel (strip) electrodes, etc. The only additional processing step is the double metal process, a technology that is simple and well matured by many Si detector processing industries and labs, including BNL. The laser and beam tests on those prototype detectors show the 2D position sensitivity and good position resolution in both X and u coordinates (about 25 μm for 80 μm pitch). For the mass production of 400 sensors needed for the Si SVX, the processing technology has been successfully transferred to the industrial: Hamamatsu Photonics (HPK). HPK has produced a pre-production run of stripixel sensors with the full PHENIX SVX specification on 150 mm diameter wafers. The laser tests on these pre-production wafers show good signal to noise ratio (about 20∶1).
