Background: Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) stands as a prominent postoperative complication in on-pump cardiac surgery, with repercussions on morbidity, mortality, and hospitalization duration. Current diagnostic criteria relying on serum creatinine levels exhibit a delayed identification of AKI, prompting an exploration of alternative biomarkers. Aims and Objectives: This study is designed to overcome diagnostic constraints and explore the viability of serum Cystatin C as an early predictor of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) in individuals undergoing on-pump cardiac surgery. The investigation aims to establish the relationship between serum Cystatin C levels and the onset of AKI in patients subjected to on-pump cardiac surgery. Primary objectives involve the assessment of the diagnostic effectiveness of serum Cystatin C, its comparison with serum creatinine, and the exploration of its potential for the early identification and treatment of AKI. Methodology: Conducted as a single-center study at the cardiac surgery department of BSMMU in Bangladesh from September 2020 to August 2022, a comparative cross-sectional analysis involved 31 participants categorized into No AKI and AKI groups based on Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) criteria. Data collection encompassed preoperative, post-CBP (cardiopulmonary bypass) conclusion at 2 hours, postoperative day 1, and postoperative day 2 intervals. Statistical analyses included Chi-squared tests, independent Student’s t-tests, and one-sample t-tests. Significance was set at P Results: The study revealed no significant differences in baseline characteristics between the No AKI and AKI groups, except for CPB time and cross-clamp time. Serum Cystatin C levels in the AKI group exhibited statistical significance at various time points, highlighting its potential as an early detector. Corona virus(COVID-19)is once in a life time calamity that has resulted in thousands of deaths and security *** are using face masks on a regular basis to protect themselves and to help reduce corona virus *** the on-going coronavirus outbreak,one of the major priorities for researchers is to discover effective *** important parts of the face are obscured,face identification and verification becomes exceedingly *** suggested method is a transfer learning using MobileNet V2 based technology that uses deep feature such as feature extraction and deep learning model,to identify the problem of face masked *** the first stage,we are applying face mask detector to identify the face ***,the proposed approach is applying to the datasets from Canadian Institute for Advanced Research10(CIFAR10),Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology Database(MNIST),Real World Masked Face Recognition Database(RMFRD),and Stimulated Masked Face Recognition Database(SMFRD).The proposed model is achieving recognition accuracy 99.82%with proposed *** article employs the four pre-programmed models VGG16,VGG19,ResNet50 and *** extract the deep features of faces with VGG16 is achieving 99.30%accuracy,VGG19 is achieving 99.54%accuracy,ResNet50 is achieving 78.70%accuracy and ResNet101 is achieving 98.64%accuracy with own *** comparative analysis shows,that our proposed model performs better result in all four previous existing *** fundamental contribution of this study is to monitor with face mask and without face mask to decreases the pace of corona virus and to detect persons using wearing face masks.

The existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions to the Cauchy problem posed for a nonhomogeneous viscous Burger's equation were shown in Chung, Kim and Slemrod [1] by assuming suitable conditions on initial data. Moreover, they derived the asymptotic behaviour of solutions of the Cauchy problem by imposing additional conditions on initial data. In this article, we obtain the same asymptotic behaviour of solutions to the Cauchy problem without imposing additional condition on initial data.

On the spatio-temporal variation in b-value after 25 April 2015 Gorkha,Nepal earthquake

In the present study,the spatial-temporal distribution of b-value along the five faults area(the Judi fault,Thaple fault,Kathmandu fault,Motihari-Gauri shanker fault,and Motihari-Everest fault)was investigated after the Gorkha earthquake(M7.8).The earthquake catalog of 10,500 events was prepared by compiling the published *** study area is bounded in the central Himalaya from 26.5°to 29°in latitude direction and 84°to 87°in longitude *** frequency magnitude distribution shows the variation of the b-value along with fault areas from 0.45 to 0.69,indicating a common characteristic of aftershock *** particular,the Judi fault area,Thaple fault area,and Motihari-Everest fault area are characterized by the low b-values of 0.45±0.02,0.48±0.02,and 0.55±0.04,*** regions could be the source region for future *** low b-value observed for fault areas are also consistent with the thrust faulting pattern in the region as indicated by the focal mechanism of mainshock and major *** temporal variation of b-value shows inevitable fluctuations during25 April to 12 May *** the area selected,the Motihari-Everest fault area is in critical strain(mechanically locked)conditions,as indicated by the stepwise energy release pattern.

Assessment of the ballistic response of honeycomb sandwich structures subjected to offset and normal impact

In the present study,experimental and numerical investigations were carried out to examine the behavior of sandwich panels with honeycomb *** high velocity impact tests were carried out using a compressed air gun.A sharp conical nosed projectile was impacted normally and with some offset distance(20 mm and 40 mm).The deformation,failure mode and energy dissipation characteristics were obtained for both kinds of ***,the explicit solver was run in Abaqus to create the finite element *** numerically obtained test results were compared with the experimental to check the accuracy of the *** numerical result was further employed to obtain strain energy dissipation in each element by externally running user-defined code in ***,the influence of inscribe circle diameter and cell wall and face sheet thickness on the energy dissipation,deformation and failure mode was *** result found that ballistic resistance and deformation were higher against offset impact compared to the normal impact *** panel impacted at 40 mm offset distance required 3 m/s and 1.9 m/s more velocity than 0 and 20 mm offset ***,increasing the face sheet and wall thickness had a positive impact on the ballistic resistance in terms of a higher ballistic limit and energy ***,inscribe circle diameter had a negative influence on the ballistic ***,the geometrical parameters of the sandwich structure had a significant influence on the energy dissipation in the different deformation *** energy dissipation in plastic work was highest for circumferential direction,regardless of impact condition followed by tangential,radial and axial directions.

Prediction of Alzheimer’s Using Random Forest with Radiomic Features

Alzheimer’s disease is a non-reversible,non-curable,and progressive neurological disorder that induces the shrinkage and death of a specific neuronal population associated with memory formation and *** is a frequently occurring mental illness that occurs in about 60%–80%of cases of *** is usually observed between people in the age group of 60 years and *** upon the severity of symptoms the patients can be categorized in Cognitive Normal(CN),Mild Cognitive Impairment(MCI)and Alzheimer’s Disease(AD).Alzheimer’s disease is the last phase of the disease where the brain is severely damaged,and the patients are not able to live on their *** is an approach to extracting a huge number of features from medical images with the help of data characterization ***,105 number of radiomic features are extracted and used to predict the alzhimer’*** paper uses Support Vector Machine,K-Nearest Neighbour,Gaussian Naïve Bayes,eXtreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost)and Random Forest to predict Alzheimer’s *** proposed random forest-based approach with the Radiomic features achieved an accuracy of 85%.This proposed approach also achieved 88%accuracy,88%recall,88%precision and 87%F1-score for AD ***,it achieved 72%accuracy,73%recall,72%precisionand 71%F1-score for AD *** and it achieved 69%accuracy,69%recall,68%precision and 69%F1-score for MCI *** comparative analysis shows that the proposed approach performs better than others approaches.

Role of beneficial microbial gene pool in mitigating salt/nutrient stress of plants in saline soils through underground phytostimulating signalling molecules

Soil salinity diminishes soil health and reduces crop yield,which is becoming a major global *** stress is one of the primary stresses,leading to several other secondary stresses that restrict plant growth and soil *** major secondary stresses induced in plants under saline-alkaline conditions include osmotic stress,nutrient limitation,and ionic stress,all of which negatively impact overall plant *** stressed conditions,certain beneficial soil microflora are known to have evolved phytostimulating mechanisms,such as the synthesis of osmoprotectants,siderophores,1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid(ACC)deaminase activity,phosphate solubilization,and hormone production,which enhance plant growth and development while mitigating nutrient *** soil-borne bacterial species such as Bacillus,Pseudomonas,and Klebsiella and fungal strains such as Trichoderma,Aspergillus,Penicillium,Alternaria,and Fusarium also aid in reducing salinity ***-solubilizing microorganisms also assist in nutrient acquisition via both enzymatic and non-enzymatic *** the case of enzymatic processes,they produce different enzymes such as alkaline phosphatases and phytases,whereas non-enzymatic processes produce organic acids such as gluconic,citric,malic,and oxalic *** native halotolerant/halophilic soil microbial gene pool with multifunctional traits and stress-induced gene expression can be developed as suitable bio-inoculants to enhance stress tolerance and optimize plant growth in saline soils.

Rate-dependent mechanical behavior of jointed rock with an impersistent joint under different infill conditions

Transition in the rate-dependent mechanical response of rock was investigated due to the presence of impersistent joint with different infill *** types of samples,***,jointed with no grouting,jointed and grouted with cement,and jointed and grouted with epoxy,were fabricated using model material.A series of dynamic split Hopkinson pressure bar(shPB) tests was conducted on prepared samples with strain rates varying between 53-130 salong with static uniaxial compression tests(10s).Progression of fracture/failure along samples was monitored using high-speed imaging and digital image correlation(DIC).Strength was observed to be significantly lower for jointed samples as compared to intact ***,the increasing trend of strength with strain rates remained similar for all types of *** was observed to be a better grout due to greater improvement in the strength of epoxy grouted jointed samples than cement grouted samples under both static and dynamic *** changes were observed in fracture behavior(initiation,pattern and mechanism)with strain rate for intact and jointed unfilled/grouted *** was dominated by shear and tensile cracks at high strain rates compared to tensile cracks at low strain rates in all *** static loading conditions,the location of cracks initiation shifts away from joint tips with increasing strain rate and depending upon existing infill conditions(unfilled/grouted).

Polygon clipping is of great importance in computer *** of the popular algorithms to clip a polygon is Cohan–Sutherland Hodgeman algorithm which is based on line ***–Sutherland Hodgeman algorithm clips the polygon against the given rectangular clip window with the help of line clipping ***–Sutherland algorithm requires traversing the polygon in anti clockwise direction(positive orientation).In this work we propose an efficient polygon clipping algorithm against a rectangular clip *** algorithm uses parametric representation of polygon *** the concept of point clipping,we can find required intersection points of edges of polygon with clip window *** suited numerical illustrations are used to explain the proposed polygon clipping *** proposed algorithm is computationally less expensive and comprehensive.
