In this work the structural,electronic and thermoelectric properties of YbMg_(2)X_(2)(X=P,As,Sb,Bi)zintl compounds were investigated comprehensively using first principles study.The electronic properties were studied using PBE GGA,TB-mBJ and hybrid(YS-PBE0)potentials.All the structural parameters of optimized structures are in harmonious agreement to the available data.The band structure study illustrates that the titled materials manifest metallic and semi metallic nature using PBE and TB-mBJ potentials while they show wide band gap semiconducting behavior by following hybrid(YS-PBE0)potential.Total density of states(TDOS)and partial density of states(PDOS)were also calculated to glimpse the contribution of orbitals of atoms in the formation of bands.Transport properties were studied by using BoltzTraP2 code employed to WIEN2k.We get enormous values of Seebeck coefficient(S),power factor(PF)and thermoelectric figure of merit(ZT)for all the samples YbMg_(2)X_(2)(X=P,As,Sb,Bi),Moreover,the overwhelming transport properties for the titled compounds indicate the optimum level of carriers’concentration which pinpoints these materials to be better thermoelectrics in the 1-2-2 zintl family.

Hybridizing Artificial Bee Colony with Bat Algorithm for Web Service Composition

In the Internet of Things(IoT),the users have complex needs,and the Web Service Composition(WSC)was introduced to address these needs.The WSC’s main objective is to search for the optimal combination of web services in response to the user needs and the level of Quality of Services(QoS)constraints.The challenge of this problem is the huge number of web services that achieve similar functionality with different levels of QoS constraints.In this paper,we introduce an extension of our previous works on the Artificial Bee Colony(ABC)and Bat Algorithm(BA).A new hybrid algorithm was proposed between the ABC and BA to achieve a better tradeoff between local exploitation and global search.The bat agent is used to improve the solution of exhausted bees after a threshold(limits),and also an Elitist Strategy(ES)is added to BA to increase the convergence rate.The performance and convergence behavior of the proposed hybrid algorithm was tested using extensive comparative experiments with current state-ofthe-art nature-inspired algorithms on 12 benchmark datasets using three evaluation criteria(average fitness values,best fitness values,and execution time)that were measured for 30 different runs.These datasets are created from real-world datasets and artificially to form different scale sizes of WSC datasets.The results show that the proposed algorithm enhances the search performance and convergence rate on finding the near-optimal web services combination compared to competitors.TheWilcoxon signed-rank significant test is usedwhere the proposed algorithm results significantly differ fromother algorithms on 100%of datasets.

The combination of spatiotemporal videos and essential features can improve the performance of human action recognition(HAR);however,the individual type of features usually degrades the performance due to similar actions and complex backgrounds.The deep convolutional neural network has improved performance in recent years for several computer vision applications due to its spatial information.This article proposes a new framework called for video surveillance human action recognition dubbed HybridHR-Net.On a few selected datasets,deep transfer learning is used to pre-trained the EfficientNet-b0 deep learning model.Bayesian optimization is employed for the tuning of hyperparameters of the fine-tuned deep model.Instead of fully connected layer features,we considered the average pooling layer features and performed two feature selection techniques-an improved artificial bee colony and an entropy-based approach.Using a serial nature technique,the features that were selected are combined into a single vector,and then the results are categorized by machine learning classifiers.Five publically accessible datasets have been utilized for the experimental approach and obtained notable accuracy of 97%,98.7%,100%,99.7%,and 96.8%,respectively.Additionally,a comparison of the proposed framework with contemporarymethods is done to demonstrate the increase in accuracy.

The massive growth of diversified smart devices and continuous data generation poses a challenge to communication architectures.To deal with this problem,communication networks consider fog computing as one of promising technologies that can improve overall communication performance.It brings on-demand services proximate to the end devices and delivers the requested data in a short time.Fog computing faces several issues such as latency,bandwidth,and link utilization due to limited resources and the high processing demands of end devices.To this end,fog caching plays an imperative role in addressing data dissemination issues.This study provides a comprehensive discussion of fog computing,Internet of Things(IoTs)and the critical issues related to data security and dissemination in fog computing.Moreover,we determine the fog-based caching schemes and contribute to deal with the existing issues of fog computing.Besides,this paper presents a number of caching schemes with their contributions,benefits,and challenges to overcome the problems and limitations of fog computing.We also identify machine learning-based approaches for cache security and management in fog computing,as well as several prospective future research directions in caching,fog computing,and machine learning.

Face recognition is a big challenge in the research field with a lot of problems like misalignment,illumination changes,pose variations,occlusion,and expressions.Providing a single solution to solve all these problems at a time is a challenging task.We have put some effort to provide a solution to solving all these issues by introducing a face recognition model based on local tetra patterns and spatial pyramid matching.The technique is based on a procedure where the input image is passed through an algorithm that extracts local features by using spatial pyramid matching andmax-pooling.Finally,the input image is recognized using a robust kernel representation method using extracted features.The qualitative and quantitative analysis of the proposed method is carried on benchmark image datasets.Experimental results showed that the proposed method performs better in terms of standard performance evaluation parameters as compared to state-of-the-art methods on AR,ORL,LFW,and FERET face recognition datasets.

With the rise of internet facilities,a greater number of people have started doing online transactions at an exponential rate in recent years as the online transaction system has eliminated the need of going to the bank physically for every transaction.However,the fraud cases have also increased causing the loss of money to the consumers.Hence,an effective fraud detection system is the need of the hour which can detect fraudulent transactions automatically in real-time.Generally,the genuine transactions are large in number than the fraudulent transactions which leads to the class imbalance problem.In this research work,an online transaction fraud detection system using deep learning has been proposed which can handle class imbalance problem by applying algorithm-level methods which modify the learning of the model to focus more on the minority class i.e.,fraud transactions.A novel loss function named Weighted Hard-Reduced Focal Loss(WH-RFL)has been proposed which has achieved maximum fraud detection rate i.e.,True PositiveRate(TPR)at the cost of misclassification of few genuine transactions as high TPR is preferred over a high True Negative Rate(TNR)in fraud detection system and same has been demonstrated using three publicly available imbalanced transactional datasets.Also,Thresholding has been applied to optimize the decision threshold using cross-validation to detect maximum number of frauds and it has been demonstrated by the experimental results that the selection of the right thresholding method with deep learning yields better results.

A Hybrid Duo-Deep Learning and Best Features Based Framework for Action Recognition

Human Action Recognition(HAR)is a current research topic in the field of computer vision that is based on an important application known as video surveillance.Researchers in computer vision have introduced various intelligent methods based on deep learning and machine learning,but they still face many challenges such as similarity in various actions and redundant features.We proposed a framework for accurate human action recognition(HAR)based on deep learning and an improved features optimization algorithm in this paper.From deep learning feature extraction to feature classification,the proposed framework includes several critical steps.Before training fine-tuned deep learning models–MobileNet-V2 and Darknet53–the original video frames are normalized.For feature extraction,pre-trained deep models are used,which are fused using the canonical correlation approach.Following that,an improved particle swarm optimization(IPSO)-based algorithm is used to select the best features.Following that,the selected features were used to classify actions using various classifiers.The experimental process was performed on six publicly available datasets such as KTH,UT-Interaction,UCF Sports,Hollywood,IXMAS,and UCF YouTube,which attained an accuracy of 98.3%,98.9%,99.8%,99.6%,98.6%,and 100%,respectively.In comparison with existing techniques,it is observed that the proposed framework achieved improved accuracy.

To determine the individual circumstances that account for a road traffic accident,it is crucial to consider the unplanned connections amongst various factors related to a crash that results in high casualty levels.Analysis of the road accident data concentrated mainly on categorizing accidents into different types using individually built classification methods which limit the prediction accuracy and fitness of the model.In this article,we proposed a multi-model hybrid framework of the weighted majority voting(WMV)scheme with parallel structure,which is designed by integrating individually implemented multinomial logistic regression(MLR)and multilayer perceptron(MLP)classifiers using three different accident datasets i.e.,IRTAD,NCDB,and FARS.The proposed WMV hybrid scheme overtook individual classifiers in terms of modern evaluation measures like ROC,RMSE,Kappa rate,classification accuracy,and performs better than state-of-theart approaches for the prediction of casualty severity level.Moreover,the proposed WMV hybrid scheme adds up to accident severity analysis through knowledge representation by revealing the role of different accident-related factors which expand the risk of casualty in a road crash.Critical aspects related to casualty severity recognized by the proposed WMV hybrid approach can surely support the traffic enforcement agencies to develop better road safety plans and ultimately save lives.

Consequences of Rényi entropy on the thermal geometries and Hawking evaporation of topological dyonic dilaton black hole

The thermodynamics of black holes(BHs)has had a profound impact on theoretical physics,providing insight into the nature of gravity,the quantum structure of spacetime and the fundamental laws governing the Universe.In this study,we investigate thermal geometries and Hawking evaporation of the recently proposed topological dyonic dilaton BH in anti-de Sitter(Ad S)space.We consider Rényi entropy and obtain the relations for pressure,heat capacity and Gibbs free energy and observe that the Rényi parameter and dilaton field play a vital role in the phase transition and stability of the BH.Moreover,we use Weinhold,Ruppeiner and Hendi Panahiyah Eslam Momennia models to evaluate the scalar curvature of the BH and find out that the divergence points of the scalar curvature coincides with the zero of specific heat.Finally,using Stefan–Boltzmann law,we determine that the BH without a dilaton field evaporates far more quickly compared to the dilaton BH in Ad S space.

Fruit diseases seriously affect the production of the agricultural sector,which builds financial pressure on the country’s economy.The manual inspection of fruit diseases is a chaotic process that is both time and cost-consuming since it involves an accurate manual inspection by an expert.Hence,it is essential that an automated computerised approach is developed to recognise fruit diseases based on leaf images.According to the literature,many automated methods have been developed for the recognition of fruit diseases at the early stage.However,these techniques still face some challenges,such as the similar symptoms of different fruit diseases and the selection of irrelevant features.Image processing and deep learning techniques have been extremely successful in the last decade,but there is still room for improvement due to these challenges.Therefore,we propose a novel computerised approach in this work using deep learning and featuring an ant colony optimisation(ACO)based selection.The proposed method consists of four fundamental steps:data augmentation to solve the imbalanced dataset,fine-tuned pretrained deep learning models(NasNetMobile andMobileNet-V2),the fusion of extracted deep features using matrix length,and finally,a selection of the best features using a hybrid ACO and a Neighbourhood Component Analysis(NCA).The best-selected features were eventually passed to many classifiers for final recognition.The experimental process involved an augmented dataset and achieved an average accuracy of 99.7%.Comparison with existing techniques showed that the proposed method was effective.
